Chapter Four: No Heaven Holds Heaven, Lin Dong defends Ananda
Wutian in the later biography of Journey to the West was a Buddhist Bodhisattva Kinnara many years ago. Because he was ordered by contemporary Buddhas to go to a country to preach, he was blocked by the sect of this country at that time. He said that he would let Kinnara Bodhisattva save three people before he could allow the Buddhist mission.
The three people are a thief, a bully, and a lady.
To save the thief, Kinnaro used the terrifying scene in hell, so that the thief knew that the consequences of his actions would be bad.
To save the bully, Kinnaro uses intimidation methods to let the bully know that as a bully, one day the atrocities will fall on him.
Miss Duhua, this lady needs a man who makes her tremble.
In the post-biography of Journey to the West, Kinnaluo talked to Miss Ah Xi, and then passed overnight, and Ah Xi stopped selling it.
What happened that night?
In comparison, after reading Shi Gandang, who is the same plot as the post-brother of Journey to the West and the screenwriter, you can find that it was Kinnaro who successfully made Miss Ah shudder by rolling the sheets.
After trembling, Miss Ah Xi vowed not to sell it anymore, but Kinnaro was made difficult by others. Miss Ah Xi was helpless and accompanied the local sect leader overnight to allow Kinnaro to escape, find the king, tell everything, and allow Buddhism to preach in the local area, but Ah Xi vowed not to let others touch him and committed suicide.
When Kinnara returned to Lingshan, the Buddha at that time said that Kinnara broke the precepts and the six senses were impure, he drove Kinnara out of Lingshan, and then Moluo achieved success. When the Tathagata became enlightened, Moluo and Tathagata entered the belly of the Peacock King together, creating Wudi, who had the same magic power as Tathagata.
Wutian absorbed the power of Buddha through the black lotus, occupied the three realms, drove the gods of the heavenly court into the Asura realm, drove the Buddhist saints into the underworld, and through the Asura realm machinery, the demons transformed into gods and ruled the three realms.
At this moment, Tathagata, who has the same magic power as Wutian, made no effort to reincarnate the three realms and become a spiritual child in the world, and used the method of taking the girl 666. Whether it is a female bandit, fairy, or ghost, they all have feelings for the Buddha. After Sun Wukong and Wutian died together, Tathagata sat in the Lingxiao Palace, asking the gods, including the Jade Emperor Laojun, to salute him, and add the girl he had obtained to become a Bodhisattva.
It seems that Tathagata is really useless.
From another perspective, Tathagata is very scheming.
The sixteen relics plus Sun Wukong should be something of great power. The sixteen relics are in the hands of the ancient Buddha Lan Deng, and the seventeen relics are Sun Wukong himself.
When Sun Wukong had not become a Buddha, Tathagata should have never seen it. After Sun Wukong became a Buddha, Tathagata had plans.
The beginning of the post-birth of Journey to the West was when Sun Wukong overturned the verdict for the Dragon King of Jinghe. The Buddha of Tathagata ignored him even though he knew there was an injustice. When Sun Wukong started to make trouble, he should suppress Sun Wukong first. The first sentence was to take Sun Wukong's life.
Is this pretentious?
no.
This forced the ancient Buddha Lan Deng to kneel in front of the Tathagata Buddha to plead with mercy, so that Tathagata did not attack Wukong.
After Sun Wukong cleared the unjust case, Tathagata came to the Jade Emperor, pretended to take over the credit, and then sent Sun Wukong back to Huaguo Mountain.
At this time, Tathagata should plan for his reincarnation.
After Tathagata's reincarnation, there was no substantial danger at all. Dapeng attracted Sun Wukong and used Wukong to achieve his goals step by step. When Wutan used the true fire to burn it, Tathagata resisted until the end.
At the end of the story, it has been above the Tathagata. In the Buddhist scriptures, the ancient Buddha of Tathagata's master, Lan Deng, died, and the seventeen relics were all in the hands of Tathagata. Even if Sun Wukong was resurrected, he would not threaten his rule at all. He also had the gods in Lingxiao Palace and pretended to be a big shot.
Inside Yanta Temple.
Lin Dong became a lay Buddhist in Yanta Temple.
Keep your hair, recite scriptures, and do not worship Buddha.
Regarding Buddha, Lin Dong did not regard the principles of Mahayana Buddhism, and believed that Buddha was omnipotent and should bow to him, but regarded Buddha as an enlightened and a leader.
Lin Dong only reads some of the Buddhist scriptures in the temple. Lin Dong never reads how to worship Buddha and how to worship Buddha.
In Mahayana Buddhism, practicing Hinayana Buddhism is the impression of Lin Dong in Yanta Temple.
Lin Dong's time period was five hundred years after Tang Monk and disciples obtained the scriptures, and after Wutian occupied the Heavenly Court, all the gods and Buddhas in the three realms were suppressed, the souls of the gods were suppressed in the black lotus, and their bodies were locked in the Asura realm. The Buddhas vanished their magic power and were imprisoned in the underworld.
After Wu Tian gained power, he put the evil ghosts in the underworld into the world, causing trouble to the world.
At this time, Qiao Ling'er, the reincarnation of Buddha Tathagata, is just a baby.
On this day, Lin Dong went to Yanta Temple again to watch Buddhist scriptures. During these days, Lin Dong had already viewed the Dharma, theories and scriptures that Tang Sanzang had brought back from Lingshan.
Dharma, theory, and sutra are all sutras for cultivation and the gate of righteousness. When Tang Sanzang and others came back from the sutra, Wutian colluded with Buddhism to guide the Buddha, intending to seek the true sutra. It is said that if there is such a true sutra, he would be able to appear on earth as soon as possible, and then the sutras will be passed down to save all sentient beings. Whether Wutian received this kind of blessing is unknown.
But based on Buddhist practice, Lin Dong has benefited a lot from this practice.
Originally, it was the vest of the vast world, plus Buddhist practice, all realms were enlightenment. Lin Dong had the Supreme Moral Sutra and the Jade Emperor's Mantra. Although they were all considered as the superficial understanding, they complemented each other, plus the experiences of multiple worlds, and the Buddhist foundation of Zhuxian World. If you talk about cultivation, you are also an Arhat at this time.
Dongdongdongdongdongdongdongdong...
The rapid sound of wooden fish hitting.
It is time to recite the lessons. Usually, they always recite the sound or the Vajra. Today, they actually say something illegal. Could it be that it is the chanting of Mo?
When reciting the sound, it means reciting it out loud.
When chanting Vajra, the mouth is not moving, and the tongue is moving.
Mo's chanting is silently recited in the heart.
Just as he thought about it, Lin Dong realized that there was a magic power coming from the front.
In the Buddhist temple, Ananda Buddha statue blooms inspiration.
"The Venerable appears and summons all living beings. Now that Mahakasyapa and Ananda become Buddhas, they need to cultivate the golden body, burn the incense of the four seasons, light the immortal lamp, and adorn the temple."
Ananda issued a metaphor order.
Ananda and Kashyapa, both of them were practicing with the Buddha. They were able to rank ten of the many disciples of the Buddha. One was the first to do asceticism and the other was the first to learn from the people. It was just because they asked Tang Monk for human affairs when they were seeking scriptures in the West. Although it was allowed by the Buddha, they were also embarrassed and wrinkled. Since then, they have been against Tang Monk and disciples, and have been beaten one after another by Sun Wukong, which has both defected to Wudian when Wudian came.
Now all the Buddhas in the Buddhist world have been suppressed in the underworld. Ananda and Kashyapa realized that they had finally made it through, so they ordered to ask for sacrifices.
When the monks in Yanta Temple heard this, they repeatedly claimed that they were right and did not dare to disobey.
"Ananda, what do you think? Cultivating a golden body and shaping Buddha statues, and canopy treasure banners can be solemnly decorated in the temple?"
Lin Dong stood behind the monk, facing Ananda God, and suddenly asked a question.
At this time, Ananda was showing his spirit. He heard these words clearly. He saw a golden light in his eyes. He watched the movement of the forest and said, "The long banners and blessings are long, the Sumeru altar is upright, the eternal light is light, the sprinkling water is pure, the precious mirror is clear, and the fragrance is applied to increase joy."
Ananda explained this.
Open your mouth and look at what mortals want to worship, all they need are flowers, eternal lights, and a pure, spacious and bright temple.
"The solemn Buddha land is not solemn. All Bodhisattvas have pure minds, without color, sound, fragrance, taste, touch, and Dharma minds. They do not seek and seek, but when giving, they are solemn."
Lin Dong said.
The meaning of this sentence is that external solemnity is not solemnity. The Buddha's solemnity lies in not being aware of right and wrong because of external things, not asking for it from others, but giving it to others. What is solemn is not an external temple, but an inner self.
"I will preach the true scriptures, and all living beings should make offerings to you."
Ananda said.
Buddhism has a very high value in promoting true scriptures. As long as someone preaches to you, it is to explain the truth to you, and it is to liberate you from the sea of suffering. When you see such people, you can call the police in modern times, but you have to worship them in the Buddhist world.
In Journey to the West, Mahayana Buddhist scriptures were recited to Elder Zhao of the Kingdom of Saharutism to bless the elderly Zhao's family to be safe, the dead are detached, and get three buckets of gold from Elder Zhao. That's it. The Tathagata said he had taken less.
"Practicing a good way is better than a thousand empty words."
Lin Dong said, and added a sentence later: "What the Buddha said."
Ananda was a disciple who had been with the Buddha for a long time and was also known as the best person in knowledge. He naturally knew that Tathagata had said such similar words.
"Who are you? How dare you question me? How dare you not worship me?"
Unreasonable, Ananda began to tell Lin Dong about his identity.
He is a disciple around the Buddha, and Lin Dong is just a lay Buddhist in the mortal world. The difference in identity between the two is there, and such ordinary words have no effect on him.
"Even if all practitioners in the world have entered the nine levels, they will not be able to completely lose their defilements and become Arhats, they all believe that this delusion of life and death is mistakenly true. Therefore, even if you hear a lot, you will not achieve the right result."
Lin Dong looked at Ananda and said, "Are I ignorant? Ananda, when will you break your heart and achieve the right result? If you have achieved success, how could you solemnly be here?"
What Lin Dong said now is the reason why what Tathagata said to Ananda was not the right result.
The spiritual light of Ananda's Dharma image has many changes.
"If you become a Buddha, you must benefit others, but practice yourself. The Buddha's title is just an appearance. If your mind does not enter the Tao, it is like a son giving up his father and suffering from poverty."
Lin Dong continued.
The Buddha light on the statue of Ananda changed one after another, and then the Buddha lights dissipated. The statue returned to its original appearance, while Ananda's true spirit returned to its own body.
Lin Dong's words reminded Ananda of many Buddhist scriptures that had been left behind.
For Lin Dong, Buddha is not an omnipotent and supernatural power who can give all the peace and joy, but should be a guide who guides all sentient beings to reach the state of joy and tranquility.
"Amitabha."
The abbot of Yanta Temple stood up, respectfully bowed to Lin Dong, and said, "What the layman said is very good. Doing a good way is better than explaining thousands of scriptures to others. In the future, in Yanta Temple, layman should look at what scriptures and take them all."
