Chapter 45: Battle Heart Ape

Xie Lingyun went through the books on cultivating his mind and nature. When he saw it, he felt that he had enough, so he left the fairy house and found a beautiful and hidden forest in Yunlong Mountain with the beautiful mountain scenery and began to practice.

He didn't know if his soul power was more than others in the same realm, but he knew best that his sexual skills had completed the first level of refining Ji's first level to enter tranquility. Today he set out to the second level of refining Ji: "fostering the mind".

It is what Confucianism says, "only be at peace after being calm", and it is what Buddhism calls "safety".

After the Zen Master Bodhidharma crossed the river with his reed to Songshan, he silently faced the wall all day long. Many years later, he finally waited for the later Shenguang of the Second Patriarch.

At first, Shen Guang served him for a long time, and after "Standing the Snow and seeking the Way", Bodhidharma spoke and asked him why he was willing to suffer from the cold and cold weather. Shen Guang said that the master opened up the method of becoming a Buddha and spreading the world. But Bodhidharma scolded him that the supreme and wonderful path of all Buddhas is a merit that practitioners cannot do, and endure the suffering that others cannot endure can cultivate and realize. Do you think you can use a little bit of virtue and trick to obtain the true meaning of the Mahayana fruit? It's ridiculous.

In order to show his determination to seek Tao, Shen Guang found a quick knife and cut down his left hand in front of Bodhidharma before passing the test of Bodhidharma. This is "cutting the arm to seek Tao".

As soon as the divine light entered the entrance, he asked: "Can all the Buddhist seals be heard?" Can those Buddhist teachings be explained clearly and clearly?

Master Bodhidharma just said: "All dharma seals cannot be obtained from others." All the great ways of Buddhism are not obtained from others, but are realized from oneself and obtained from the heart.

This is also what Mencius said: "If you do things that cannot be achieved, you will seek it from yourself, and your body will be upright and the world will return to you."

Shen Guang reflected on himself, but after practicing for a while, he felt that his heart could not be at peace, so he asked Bodhidharma and said, "Master, give me a method of peace!" Bodhidharma said, "Take out your heart, and I will give you peace." Shen Guang was stunned when he heard this, and then said, "But how can I take out my heart? This is impossible." Bodhidharma smiled at him: "I have already felt at ease for you."

Since you can’t find this mind, don’t you need to seek peace, so you will naturally be at ease? On the contrary, if you have a thought of seeking peace, how can you feel at ease?

Thinking of this Buddhist case, Xie Lingyun covered the heart of his chest, felt the beating of his heart. He suddenly smiled and muttered: "If Master Shenguang had dug out his heart at that time, what would Master Bodhidharma do..."

Actually, what is the heart?

The heart is just a manifestation, and thinking, thinking, the six consciousnesses... are not. The "heart" is an extremely illusory thing, and he doesn't know what it is.

However, what Master Bodhidharma said, "If you have no intention, you will naturally be at ease." is just the outline of practice, and as Mencius said, "Adults will not lose their innocent hearts." Laojun said, "If you keep your virtues away, you will return to the baby."

These are all outlines. If a person with a strong mind is practicing the door to enter the saint, he will definitely be in a childlike mind and even laugh all day long, just like the play of Master Xun and Lu Zu and others. Therefore, the Tao that Master Wankong is pursuing is indeed the right way.

Moreover, babies will not think about peace of mind. This is indifferent and pure, and their true nature is natural. But there have been several sages since ancient times and the present. The entry-level people still rely on the method to cultivate their minds and cultivate their nature. As Master Bodhidharma himself said: "Easy to rest outside and have no breath in the heart."

The three schools of Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism have many methods. Not to mention the cultivation in daily life, just by working hard, Xie Lingyun knew more than a dozen types: awareness, resting the law, extinguishing the mind and keeping the mind, extinguishing the mind and keeping the mind, extinguishing the mind and keeping the mind, extinguishing the mind and keeping the mind, maintaining the mind, the whole law inside and outside, the whole method inside and outside, the body and the method of using the body...

These methods are obtained from the master, the master of the Xun, the classics and other places. Most of them have one similarity, that is, "viewing", looking at the outside, looking at the inside, and looking at the illusion...

There are illusions and inner demons. The most important level of cultivation in the Taoist sect is to defeat the inner demons, the so-called "capturing the mind and locking the mind ape".

"The mind is distracted and the mind is horse" is actually a metaphor, referring to the two kinds of demonic obstacles in the soul. Simply put, distraction is the mind is the mind is the mind, and delusion is the mind.

If monks defeat them and control them, they can "stop thoughts" and "stop delusions".

After practicing the first level of tranquility, although he could calm down and his soul could come out of his shell, he was far from at ease. However, after capturing the mind horse, the monks did not need to sleep in consciousness, and could also be awake to the soul, just as Mr. Ruan did not need to meditate and enter into tranquility, and he could come out as soon as he said it.

The consciousness will become the minister of the soul. The monks will reduce the number of times they are distracted and drowsy in daily life. In this way, no matter whether they practice martial arts or do things, they can concentrate and improve their efficiency; the soul will naturally become stronger, regardless of the soul power value, the distance and duration of the soul leaving the body after it comes out of the shell, etc., will be greatly improved.

Only when you have "peace of mind" can you enter the third level of "refining nature", and then you will have the opportunity to unlock the mystery of your heart and gain the supreme magical powers of the mysterious truth from yourself.

Buddhism calls the state of self-refining "meditation and contemplation" exactly this meaning: cessation, contemplation, wisdom, and after entering tranquility, it is contemplation. If you have gained something, it is wisdom.

There are indeed many benefits, but "distracted mind and horse" is not so easy to defeat. In "Shen Tongqi", Fire Dragon True Man said, "The mind is unstable, and the mind is galloping four times". "The mind is a naughty monkey, jumping around in the heart all day long, disrupting the mind and being very ferocious; "The mind is a fast horse that cannot be found in normal times. Once delusions arise, it will jump out and be difficult to tie it up.

No matter how fierce the two evil animals were, Xie Lingyun knew that he wanted to live up to expectations in the Mid-Autumn Festival battle. In this short period of time, he had to at least enter the third level of self-refining.

So what method can be used to cultivate this heart?

Unlike when you enter a quiet state, you need to close your eyes. If you nourish your mind and see the outdoor scene, you must open your eyes and practice. He looked around him. The wind blew the forest and the shadows of the trees were heavy. You could keep hearing some insects and birds. The sound of gurgling streams in the distance also came to your ears.

The method of eliminating the mind and maintaining the environment? This method is to seek to have no mind on the environment, have no thoughts about things, ignore external environment, but only calm your own mind. There is a poem that describes it as "there is a fragrant grass in this place, and there is no old friend in the city." As long as you do this without any thoughts in your mind, how can there be distractions and delusions?

"No, don't practice this." Xie Lingyun shook his head firmly after thinking about it. He didn't practice like this. He would really be ashamed of cultivation later. He was not moved by anything when he saw it. Looking at the entire Jinling, he felt that there was no old friend or a relative. Is that still an individual?

It is not good to have the mind method of purifying the environment. The mind is still there, but "the mind is not attached to the environment". There is no environment for the environment, and there is no object. Everything you see is illusory. "Don't be a partner with all things, and do not go against all dust." Then there will be no fun to enjoy the mountain scenery and beauties in the future. What is the meaning of living? The mind coexist inside and outside and is relatively independent, inside and outside, outside, outside, and does not enter the inside, and each one does not come to see each other, living alone, "a moon is born in the sea, and several families are upstairs". Although you also appreciate it, you have your scenes changing, and I will go up to my building...

After careful consideration, Xie Lingyun finally chose the most suitable "internal and external methods"!

This method emphasizes the whole cessation of delusion. When monks are under the mountains, rivers, sun and moon, all mental states are formed into one, the heaven, earth, man and me are integrated into one, and the mind is clear and clear, and a pure and innocent. Where can there be a delusion in this way? As the poem says: "The heaven and earth are the same root, and all things are the same body as me"!

This is also the outline of "Shan Nervous", which communicates with the spirit of heaven and earth!

After choosing the method, Xie Lingyun began to "see" quietly, looking at the scenery in front of him, feeling and blending together.

If it was another realm, he might not have cultivated so quickly, but he was in the familiar Yunlong Mountain and had the mystery of practicing "Mountain Nervous". With the echo of the Yunlong Mountain God in his body, he soon entered a state of selflessness, and he merged with everything around him. The mountain is me, I am a mountain, or there is no mountain or self, and all things are naturally.

In this state, the heart not only calmed down, but also felt very comfortable, and the nourished soul seemed to grow little by little... However, not long after, the heart ape came indeed.

He saw it really, without thinking about whether it was an illusion. He saw a monkey whizzing out of the woods. It looked as tall as him, but it was covered with yellow hair, only a heart-shaped face, sharp cheeks and thunderbolt mouth, and a pair of round eyes wandering around, without any seriousness.

Xie Lingyun smiled and said, "Are you finally coming out? You know that you are not so kind and you must bother me."

"Hehehe, what is me, what is you, am I not you?" Xin Yuan scratched his ears and cheeks, jumped up and down, and suddenly opened his mouth and laughed. Before he finished speaking, he suddenly made a move and grabbed a handful of monkey hair and threw it over. Each monkey hair was a thought. These countless scattered thoughts suddenly turned into countless illusions, coming one after another, this and that!

He saw old friends, master, Hengbao, senior brother, Aman, Chun'er... Seeing scenes, beautiful, disgusting, annoying, lingering... His heartbeat suddenly became chaotic, his mind suddenly shook, and even the figure of the mind monkey became looming, but once it disappeared, the "Locking Heart Ape" failed this time, and the consciousness will be even more in a state of progress, so that his sexual power will not advance but retreat.

Without forgetting the mystery of the entire internal and external law, Xie Lingyun did not deliberately dispel these memories and thoughts, and all melted one by one, and his mind gradually recovered his peace. He smiled and said, "Since it is me, who is asking me?"

"Ahh!" Xin Yuan grabbed his head irritably, and suddenly pointed at him again. He thought of something and laughed at him. He danced and walked forward to him, grabbed his face, patted his head, and smiled provocatively, "Come on, catch me, catch me--"

This is a change of thoughts! Xin Yuan only thinks about Aman, not only memories, but also those helpless emotions towards her, so as to break his peace of mind, disturb him, and annoy him!

Aman was trapped in Taoyuan and could not hurt me. Xie Lingyun kept his mind and ignored its provocative teasing. The more he ignored it, the more he became, the more irritable the monkey became. Suddenly, he took a long iron pillar from somewhere and cursed: "Do you want to lock me up? This Dinghai God Pillar belongs to me, let's see how I hit you!" It shouted loudly, waved its baton with both hands and smashed it into his head-

"Splash Monkey, be good for me!" Xie Lingyun shouted, but after eating that stick, it seemed like a buzzing sound, his mind suddenly rippled. He knew that the mind was bringing out some distracting thoughts. Where did this iron pillar come from? Isn't it the one that suppressed the dragon Ao Qing in his imagination?

As soon as this thought came, Xin Yuan laughed immediately, and suddenly there was a big iron chain in his hand, and he grinned and said, "I will tie you up today and press you down. You will be you, I will be me! I will be Xie Lingyun, and the most handsome Monkey King!!"

Xie Lingyun was shocked. His mind was obviously very messy, and he lost his clarity. However, the monkey splashed did not disappear, but became more and more real...
