Next, Xie Lingyun will preach. This is the challenge of the first level to show that he really has Buddhist knowledge. If he can't even pass this level, he will really laugh at others' mouths.
But what scriptures are taught? This is really important, so I have to be careful, because I will directly decide which sect the Buddhist sect among the three schools of Chaotian Palace. First of all, is it the Kong Sect or the sect?
Buddhism is talking about emptiness. Sometimes people in the world call the entire Buddhism "Empty Sect". In fact, how to emptiness is divided into two theories in Buddhism. After all, emptiness has the ultimate meaning.
There are many schools of thought in the two: people are empty, people are empty, and both emptiness and existence are not... People are definitely empty, and Abhidharma Sect thinks so; all conditioned and inaction laws are empty, and all laws are empty, and Chengshi Sect says; if it is wrong, existence is nothing, emptiness is also nothing, and everything is nothing, and the Three Treatises Sects say so.
To put it bluntly, it means that everything has no self-nature. When you practice in the end, even if you become a Buddha, the Buddha will be empty. Empty means nothing, nothing can be obtained, after all, it is empty.
The ultimate truth is existence, and existence does not have any substance, but the highest emptiness. Although becoming a Buddha is empty, there is something there. Practice and attain enlightenment can achieve that thing. That thing is called ultimate truth: the ultimate truth that all things are in essence and emptiness. Therefore, emptiness means existence, and something becomes a Buddha.
The battle between Kong Sect and You Sect has continued to this day, and the ten exoteric and esoteric sects in Buddhism have formed today. So is Chaotian Palace empty or there?
Xie Lingyun had an answer, and the master and the aunt agreed with everyone: Zen.
Not only because Chaotian Palace does practice Zen, but also because the cleverness and cunning Zen are the Kong Sect, not the Kong Sect, especially the Han Zen, which is integrated and influenced by the Central Plains culture, is very different in terms of thinking logic and Buddhism. Abandoning begging for food and opening a jungle is just one of them. The Central Plains Zen has long established its own school of Kong Sect: Kongxin Sect.
The Sixth Patriarch Huineng praised the Diamond Sutra as a major change, "The mind should be born without dwelling", "All conditioned dharmas are like dreams, illusions, bubbles, and shadows, like dew and lightning, and should be viewed in this way"...
In legend, the Sixth Patriarch suddenly realized when he first heard that "there should be nothing to dwell on, and his mind was born". "There should be nothing to dwell on" means nothing to dwell on, and "there should be nothing to dwell on" means nothing to dwell on, and "there is nothing to dwell on" means nothing to dwell on, just as "there is nothing to dwell on," means nothing to dwell on, and "there is nothing to dwell on".
There is neither existence nor non-existence, the reality has no form, the true nature is nature, the true emptiness is not empty, and the emptiness and silence are clear and spiritual knowledge.
Zen Buddhism has transcended the scope of the struggle between Kong Sect and You Sect. If you think about whether it is existence or non-existence all day long, how can you understand your mind and nature?
Therefore, after the Sixth Patriarch's understanding, the Diamond Sutra, the classic "Diamond Sutra", is highly praised by sects such as the Faxiang Sect.
Now Chaotian Palace has put up a sign of Zen, which is simply impeccable, because the Taoist sect's purpose of "creating something out of nothing" and "Tao gives birth to all things" is not inconsistent with Zen. What is Tao? It can be Zen or "that thing".

This is indeed inexplicable. What is Zen and Tao, and how can it be said? No matter whether it is the Kowloon Sect, it cannot be said. It is almost the same to say "Prajna".
However, what everyone did not expect was that Xie Lingyun did not answer, as if he was not going to say anything. He looked around at the altar and his eyes finally stopped above something. He walked over and pulled hard, and took a brick on the edge of the altar into his hand.
He took the head of the stern and walked to the side of Master Huizhong who looked calm. He suddenly raised the brick high and used some strength to hit the bald head suddenly.
The brick immediately broke into two pieces and fell on the altar...

Zen is everywhere, and Zen is born from the mind.

He could only fight back like this. In fact, everyone knows that this is Zen, which is simply Xie Lingyun's "Zen avenge of personal revenge". Moreover, it is Zen, he cannot gain anything, otherwise wouldn't he be directly saying that Xie Lingyun is better than him? So he can only ask the other party back to see what sophistry the other party has, and then refute it.

This is not a nonsense, but the basic purpose of the Three Treatises. What is reality? It is impossible to obtain reality because there is no reality or emptiness. On the other hand, Deva also greatly damaged the arrogance of the Indian Brahmins, mocked the caste system of its religion, and promoted the Buddhist righteous path of equality of sentient beings. According to records, Brahmins and outspoken at that time were said to be ashamed and angry.
In fact, the dog is you, you are me, and I am also a dog. In theory, it is the Dharma, and in theory, it embarrasses the opponent.
