898: I have a bold idea...

Before the 2014-15 season began, almost everyone's eyes were attracted by Cleveland.

Last summer, the Cavaliers welcomed their "Emperor" LeBron James and got the "two-double machine" Kevin Love, plus the 2011 popular No. 1 pick Kyrie Irving, a younger and more powerful Big Three, took shape.

In the eyes of most people at that time, such a lineup was not only in the East, even if you look at the entire league, few teams could compete with it.

Even if the Memphis Grizzlies encounter this younger Big Three, they may not be guaranteed to defeat them 100%.

The East has almost a dominant situation. Except for the Knights, no one can spy on the position of the East.

But when the season really started, it was not the Cleveland Cavaliers who brought people a surprise, but the Atlanta Hawks that almost no one remembered last season!

Under the leadership of coach Budenhozer, the Hawks have been ranked first in the East since the beginning of the season, and their winning numbers are much higher than the Cavaliers.

The five starting players of the Hawks are Jeff Teague, Kyle Korver, Demar Carroll, Paul Millsap and Al Horford.

None of these five people can be called an absolute superstar, and it is incomparable to the Cavaliers with a brilliant lineup.

Among the Eagles, the highest average score per game is Millsap's 16.7 points. And until now, no player has scored 30+ points in any game.

No matter what the perspective is, the Hawks cannot be a successful team.

The Eagles do not have much personal heroism, but they have brought the spirit of team basketball to the extreme.

This means that their head coach Mike Budenhozer has to be mentioned.

This coach, who was born in the Spurs system, successfully injected the Spurs' tactical concept into the Hawks.

The Hawks play team-based basketball with rigorous tactics, and each player maximizes his advantages. As the leader and commander of the team, Budenhoze made an indelible contribution.

So many fans call this Hawks "Spurs Second Team" and even joked that the Spurs were "Little Hawks".

Of course, their most well-known nickname is the "Eastern Spurs".

In fact, the Atlanta Hawks have always had a good foundation.

Since the 2007-08 season, only two NBA teams have not missed any playoffs.

The old-age Spurs are naturally among them, and the other team is the "East Spurs" Hawks.

Last season, the Hawks entered the playoffs as eighth in the Eastern Conference, with a total of 18 wins missing compared to the Pacers, the number one.

But the Hawks played in the playoffs until they lost until they tied for seven last season, and almost staged a Black Eight Miracle.

However, this team with a simple style and no big-name star has received too little attention, so few people remember their achievements, and few people remembered that they almost performed the Black Eight Miracle last season.

Therefore, they are surprised by their sudden rise this season.

There is no doubt that the Atlanta Hawks are now the top team in the league. Their record is not only outstanding in the East, but even in the West, it is second only to the Grizzlies and the Warriors.

With the uneven lineup, Jogel naturally has a headache against such a top-level team.

Fortunately, before the Hawks, the Grizzlies can still play against the New York Knicks to warm up.

On January 5, the Grizzlies, who lost Gasol, faced the Knicks with only 5 wins and 31 losses at home.

The New York Knicks have also been "torn" by injuries this season, but what is worse than the Grizzlies is that they lost the star Cameron Anthony.

After Anthony was absent, the Knicks did not have any combat effectiveness at all. Coupled with the chaos in the management, the Knicks' record was a cliff-jumping decline.

In the past few seasons, the Knicks were also a strong contender for the championship. Last season, the Knicks were at least a strong team in the Eastern Conference.

But this year, they actually went directly to sign the No. 1 pick...

If the league wants to choose a "fastest regression team", the Knicks will definitely be the unquestionable champion.

There is nothing to say about this game, and the Knicks were naturally abused and unable to take care of themselves. People joked that it would be difficult for this Knicks to play NCAA.

In the end, the Grizzlies beat the Knicks to explode on the spot with a score of 105-83 at home.

Link got off work in the third quarter, scoring 25 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. In the middle of the third quarter, the Grizzlies still beat the Knicks for nearly 20 points.

This shows how stable the Knicks ranked last. After this game, the Knicks' losing streak has reached an outrageous 12 games!

After the game, even Mike Brin, who is based in New York, couldn't help but complain, "The Grizzlies can beat the Knicks for nearly 20 points without the black and white bears. It's a bit too much to say that the Knicks can't play in NCAA. In my opinion, the Knicks have at least reached the level of the Development League."

Mike Bryn rarely has any sarcastic tongue, but this time, he really doesn't vomit.

This game of abuse seems to have no highlights, but if you look carefully at the data tables of both sides, you will still find something unique.

In the Knicks' terrible data table, Quincy Assi, a 12-year second round pick, scored 19 points and 14 rebounds in large double-double data! Both scored and rebounds were the highest in the team!

Since entering the league, Asi has been a bottom-level blue-collar player, and has averaged only 5.9 points and 4.4 rebounds per game this season. Even the bad team in the Knicks, the league's bottom, Asi cannot get the chance to start.

It was such a supporting player who got a double-double on the first head of the league...

The reason is actually very simple. The time when Assi plays is exactly the right time for the Grizzlies to have no available inside!

After Gasol was injured, the Grizzlies naturally pushed Whiteside into the starting lineup. Although Whiteside's overall strength is not as good as Gasol, the most basic frame protection and basket grabbing are definitely enough.

He may not be able to make him icing on the cake, but Whiteside can definitely do his job well.

Therefore, the Knicks' two starting inside players, Cole Aldridge and Jason Smith, were both abused and unable to take care of themselves.

The former only scored 7 points and 3 rebounds, while the latter scored 10 points and 5 rebounds, but only made 4 of 11 shots. As an insider who mainly attacks at low posts, such data obviously failed.

But after Whiteside came off the court, the Grizzlies had to use Tobias Harris to play center!

There is no doubt that the Grizzlies' ability to protect the frame has greatly decreased. So, Quincy Assi, who came on as a substitute, happened to pinch this soft persimmon and scored a double-double.

Although the Grizzlies won easily to win the Knicks, the huge loopholes left by Gasol after his injury were also exposed.

A mere Quincy Assi can make the Grizzlies' substitute inside line like this. Wouldn't it be even more abused in the next game against the Hawks?

If Harris meets Hawks substitute center Penn Antich, it will be fine. If he meets Millsap or Horford, the scene will definitely be quite bloody.

Jogel is glad that today the Grizzlies are facing the Knicks who are so bad that they have no bottom line.

Otherwise, the Grizzlies might have been really upset.

So the day after the game ended, the day before the Grizzlies and the Eagles fought.

Jogel called Link to the office early in the morning and gave a very bold proposal.

"The next game, Link, I'm afraid... I'm afraid the rotation time, I'll let you reach the fifth position!"

Just like Paul Westheide, then Lakers coach after losing Jabbar in 1980, had to push the "Magic" to the No. 5 position.

Jogel also chose to use the team's superstars to fill the vacancy in the No. 5 position.

Although it is incredible, this is indeed the only way.

Link was not surprised when he heard Jogel's proposal, because no one was more suitable for this task than him.

Link was not nervous, but was very excited.
