Chapter 300: The City of Water

The three passed by a slaughterhouse. A hungry butcher with a fat body was standing in front of the chopping board and waving his machete vigorously, then stuffed a string of things that seemed to be internal organs into his mouth.

He had a pig's head, a wild boar's fanged helmet, and a wide overalls. There was nothing on the chopping board, but every time he slashed and chopped, he could cause a heart-wrenching scream - a human scream.

The soul after death is often remembered by living people as "lost".

Generally speaking, after death, trapped in the black fog, the soul gradually weakens, forgets his identity during his lifetime, and loses the ability to think. But a considerable number of people still remember and only remembers something in their lifetime, and this thing is often what they did at the last moment of their lifetime.

By replenishing the shape, the butcher's food made him look like now.

The three of them continued to move forward and entered a broken small village.

A vague spirit came towards him. He had no body, and the floating stones formed his face and shoulders. His expression was peaceful, as if he could not see the three of them, passing by silently.

Some of the losers are not aggressive and snatching instincts. If a good and innocent person set foot on the land of Shadow Island, he may encounter a merciful or empathetic soul and try to lead to a safe place.

A burst of laughter came into his ears, and Kahn looked in the sound and saw a little ghost girl swinging behind a farmhouse.

The two trees were bent and entangled together, forming an arch bridge. The swing was hung under the arch bridge. The little girl swung the swing above the ghost fire, making waves of ghost laughter.

The outbreak of the destruction curse was unpredictable. The farmers were still plowing the fields and the children were still playing. Some souls were divided into pieces in that disaster, and only the emotions they experienced at the last moment of their lives remained.

Fear, resistance, or the madness after forgetting oneself.

The little girl's laughter sounded harmless, but she didn't know that she could sow doubts in people's hearts and make them ignore their daughter's call for help.

In front of the bar counter of the dilapidated tavern, a hunchbacked dead soul sat.

His head had turned into a barrel, and he kept pouring it into his head with the full glasses, but the liquid in the barrel did not overflow from beginning to end.

These low-intelligent undeads can generally be ignored. However, some powerful undeads have to be treated with caution.

The power of the undead can be sensed from the aura, or look at the appearance, most of them look strange.

For example, this monster as huge as a mountain in front of you.

It picks up scattered on the deserted island, adds armor to its body, and absorbs the dead souls for its core. After thousands of years of accumulation, its appearance has become a huge crab with blue smoke on its body.

Kahn chose to avoid it, after all, the shell formed by the armor can flatten the person even if it is lightly smashed.

They continued to move forward, the black beach turned into basalt, the strange glow of light shone through the black mist to illuminate their faces, and the rugged hillsides were taking them to new heights.

A cliff suddenly appeared in front of him, and Kahn stopped the two of them with his arms horizontally.

The road is coming to an end.

He approached the edge of the cliff, and as the black fog gradually became stripped away, the ancient city gradually appeared before them.

Looking at this bizarre ancient city, the three of them exclaimed breathtakingly.

The great destruction broke out in the center of Hynia, and the unknown force greatly changed the landform of the city.

A strange glow emerged from the depths of the ground, and many architectural relics shrouded in this dark green light turned into fragmented shapes. The ruins floated incredibly in the air, swinging up and down with the tide of energy.

Hynia is located on the coastline, the dam is destroyed by dilapidation, and sea water pours in to flood most of the city, and only buildings at high places survive.

There are countless arcane treasures buried here, but there are also many corrupt black shadows wandering around. It is a place with very high opportunities and risks.

It may be your treasure land or your bone burial land.

"How long have we been?" Looking at the city in front of us and realizing that the trip had reached the end, Kahn suddenly turned around and asked.

He was observing these undeads along the way, and forgot about the passage of time.

The black fog enveloped the archipelago, covering the sun and the moon, but it was not completely dark, and everything was illuminated by the gloomy light emitted by the black fog itself.

"If I remember correctly, it's already noon now," Kasha said.

"It's already noon? I didn't see it at all." Kahn looked at the dim sky, then took out his pocket watch from the package to compare it. It was indeed noon.

After taking back the pocket watch, he said, "We need to leave some time to go back and take the boat. Let's just explore the ancient city briefly. Hurry back before dark, and then row the boat directly to the vicinity next time."

"I heard from the boss's wife that some people go back after several days. For example, Gavin, he usually goes back once a week." Kasha had already started to move his muscles and bones by kneading his claws.

"No matter him, our goal is Saba, she goes out every morning. So we have to go back and keep up with her the next morning."

"Who are you talking about?" Sarah was not able to understand the other guests in the tavern.

But as soon as she finished complaining, an angry roar came from behind.

She covered her mouth and shrugged again, saying that she was helpless.

A dead soul approached from the black fog, and the light it emitted was brighter than that of ordinary spirits. After it approached, the three of them could see clearly what it looked like.

Five angry faces were close together like grapes on vines, and their long pale hair floated in the air, like ignited ghost fire. There was only a broken shroud below the head, and their facial features were opened because of the roar, and a dazzling light shot out from their eyes and mouths.

Kahn felt their anger. They did not ignore the three of them like other spirits, but rushed straight towards them.

They avoided the undead's collision one after another. They roared out of the cliff, but turned around in the air and rushed over again.

Kasha bent down, and a missile shot out from her shoulder pod, each missile locked a head.

After a burst of explosions, the angry undead gathering was all shot. No matter which head controls this spirit, it cannot escape the fate of extinction.

After the explosion, the angry spirit turned into a wisp of black smoke and drilled back into the black fog.

"What's going on?" Kasha asked.

"It seems that only by swallowing them with skin nails can they stop them from returning to the black mist and waiting for rebirth."
