180. Sand mining (11/20, 30050 alliance +1)

Reluctantly, Yang Shubao bid farewell to the beautiful and elegant flamingo.

The bird's food is algae and plankton, and the reserve cannot feed them.

"Fall in love with a group of wild horses, but there is no grassland in my home." He started the car and sang loudly. The flamingos were frightened again, and they flapped their wings and flew.

There are many reeds growing along the Taiba River, and large patches of grass covered the land. When the wind blows, the snow-white reeds flutter on both sides, and their posture is beautiful.

Reed marshes are the best habitat for many wild birds, but they fly very fast and their figures often flash in a flash. Yang Shubao failed to recognize their identities.

Until the car drove to the destination, some big trees were winding on the river bank. They had few leaves, lush branches, black in color and extremely rough bark. Yang Shubao stared at them for a few more times before seeing such a tree.

Jill introduced him: "You haven't seen it? This is windmill wood. Many African windmill woods will be exported to your Asia. They are very good, very hard, very wear-resistant, and very corrosion-resistant."

Yang Shubao shook his head and said, "I haven't seen it before, but it's really good to hear you introduce them. You can make high-end furniture, right?"

Jill said: "No, they are not suitable for furniture because they are too hard and have poor toughness. They would rather break than bend. If you use them to make furniture, there are only two states of furniture: one is solid and beautiful, and the other is collapse and destruction. But they can be used as floors. I read a magazine that it is popular for villas in Asia to make floors. In fact, this is a bit wasteful."

"What should I do with them if I don't waste it?" Yang Shubao asked while looking at the surrounding environment.

"Of course, they are burned to make bonfires, they are very dense and very resistant to burning."

Uncle Yang nodded and said nothing.

When the rivers began to turn, the rushing river water hit the river bank and turned again. Their momentum was frustrated here, so they kept the mud and sand carried all the way upstream, and only sent clear water into Lake Saint Lucia.

There was a ship hidden in the reed marsh, and Jill said their ship was inside.

The two went to pick up the boat, and a large pelican bird flew out from behind the reeds and grass.

Jill touched his waist and said regretfully: "Didn't bring a gun, otherwise we can eat roasted pelicans at noon. Their meat is very good, tender and fragrant, and it tastes better than animal meat."

Yang Shubao smiled and said, "Forget it, I don't have a hunting license. If I hunt wild animals here, it would be illegal."

"So it's up to me, our Zulu people have lived on the meat of animals and birds for generations. We can hunt them freely, of course, just for food instead of indifferent killing."

There is also a primitive African canoe hidden in the thick and tight grass. It is made of a piece of tree trunk, cut off side branches, hollowed out one side for people, and a pair of oars can shuttle through rivers and lakes.

Yang Shubao asked, "Is this your ship?"

Jill said: "No, I don't know which tribe's ship it is."

"Aren't they afraid of stealing them?"

Jill said, "There are no oars on the boat, how can you take them away if you steal them? Drag them ashore and pull them away with a car? That's impossible. If a thief has a car, he doesn't have to be a thief."

Uncle Yang laughed. This is an interesting logic. It turns out that South African thieves are so lazy.

Jill thought about it and asked again, "Is this the first time you have seen a boat hiding in the grass?"

Uncle Yang said: "Yes."

Jill waved to him and said, "Then I have to open your eyes. Be careful to pass by me. If you see a canoe parked on the river bank in the future, don't approach it yourself, and don't try to enter it. There are often traps inside it."

In order to prevent the rain from falling, the canoe was covered with a layer of broken cowhide. Jill took a stick and carefully picked it up, and a snake head suddenly jumped out of it and pecked on the stick.

Uncle Yang was startled: "Why are there snakes here?"

Jill said: "Don't prevent anyone from stealing the boat. Do you think the owner will not keep his hands? This is a water snake. All the water snakes you know are poisonous and very dangerous."

Yang Shubao said in surprise: "But why is this water snake staying honestly on this boat? Has it been domesticated?"

He was thinking that if there was a tribe in Africa that could tame the water snake, the monster elves would be fine to improve the animals' wisdom.

As a result, Jill smiled and said, "You asked a stupid question, who can tame the water snake? Its tail is tied to the ship, so it can't go anywhere."

The iron boat used to pump sand is deeper and they have to wade by. Jill told him that there are water snakes and crocodiles underwater, and they must be careful.

"But no matter it is a crocodile or a water snake, as long as you don't provoke them, they won't attack you on your own initiative. In fact, they will still be afraid when they see people." Jill introduced to him.

After walking more than ten meters in the river, the iron boat parked on the water revealed its true face.

The boat is more than ten meters long. It is transformed from a barge. It is empty and has nothing. It has to be installed on the machine temporarily. Therefore, the Jill clan is not afraid of someone coming to steal things, because this is a rusty empty iron shell.

Sand pumps, jet pumps and diesel engines are used to pump sand, and these machines are hidden in another place. Jill saw that no one around took Yang Shubao to the windmill woods on the river bank to find a cellar, where everything was here.

Jill jumped down to transport the machine out, and handed Yang Shubao the supporting tools such as the salon head, sand extraction pipe, and head pipeline to Yang Shubao. They tinkered with it several times and then assembled the sand extraction boat.

The diesel was poured into the engine, and the machine started to run. Jill went to block the pipe opening. After a while, he pulled his hand away. Under the pressure, some turbid mud and water were sprayed out.

The first time Yang Shubao saw this kind of sand mining method, he opened his eyes.

In fact, the machine they use should not be called a sand-drawing ship, it should be called a sand-drawing platform, because it is not a ship at all.

However, this cheap and technically-free sand extraction platform is more suitable for the needs of locals. The river channel has rich silt resources, and the locals extract not much silt at one time. The continuous flow of water brings endless sand, and new silt will be filled in a few days.

The machine pumps sand, and the mud and sand are left on the boat first, and then the wide-edged plastic raft is connected to the side of the boat. Jill uses a water pump to flush the mud and sand that is pumped up. In this way, the mud and sand are washed onto the plastic raft together. Finally, the mud and water flow back into the river and the sand remains on the raft. Yang Shubao leads people to drag the raft to the shore and then transfer the sand to the cart.

Compared with domestic sand extraction operations, this is undoubtedly very difficult, but considering the local conditions, the Zulu people have such sand mining technology. In fact, many tribes use primitive methods to harvest sand in the river: using basins to scoop the shore with water and sand.

Afterwards, they talked about this, Jill said: "We used to do this, and the efficiency was very low. Later, I went to the fresh market to buy these machines and assembled into such a sand-pulling ship to improve efficiency."

Yang Shubao asked, "Did you assemble this ship?"

Jill nodded and said happily: "Yes, it cost 2,000 yuan in total, isn't it bad?"
