214 Crimea's cattle and horse

Previously, in order to facilitate the Crimean Khanate to send troops to attack Ryazan, Marin promised to purchase 10,000 cattle and 1,000 Eastern European Mongolian horses from the Crimean Khanate every year.
According to the agreement, the Crimeans attacked Ryazan and scared the army of the Grand Duchy of Moscow in Finland, which was considered to have completed the agreement. And Marin did not intend to break the agreement. Moreover, it was indeed in their own interests to introduce cheap cattle and horses from the Crimean Khanate.
In autumn, the Crimean Khanate had indeed prepared 10,000 cows and 1,000 war horses, with a total price of only 90,000 gold coins (7.5 gold coins per cow, 15 gold coins for horses).
Marin was also ready to take over and sent a team of cavalry and some herders to drive away this huge cattle line along the way.
With so many livestock, obviously there are only ones who can only take the land route, and not so many ships to carry it. However, there is a problem on the land route.
In order to gain the friendship of the powerful Crimean Khanate, Poland and Lithuania will naturally not oppose Marin's purchase of cattle and horses from Crimea, nor will they oppose those cattle and horses passing through. However, it is hard to say other countries...
Originally, 10,000 cattle and 1,000 horses were brought back to East Friesland by land, the best route was to first pass through Lithuania and Poland, then enter the territory of Brandenburg or Saxony, and then pass through the Principality of Lüneburg, and arrive at Oldenburg.
However, the Brandenburg Electoral State and the Saxony Electoral State are both Denmark's in-law countries. Marin defeated Denmark so badly and cut off so much land. How could the two countries make Marin come true?
As a result, the cattle and sheep bought by Marin were directly rejected through the requests of both countries, and there was no room for negotiation.
In desperation, Marin had no choice but to detour from the north of the Electorate of Brandenburg, the Principality of Pomerania and Mecklenburg, then through the Principality of Holstein under the control of Lübeck and Hamburg, then through the Archbishop of Bremen, and finally to the Belgium of Oldenburg.
However, this matter is also difficult to deal with. Lubeck and Hamburg naturally would not cause trouble to Marin, an ally, and the Archbishop of Bremen was also very proud. But the Principality of Mecklenburg and the Principality of Pomerania were very unpretentious...
It turned out that as neighbors of the Brandenburg Electoral State, the Principality of Mecklenburg and the Principality of Pomerania were greatly influenced by the Brandenburg Electoral State. The Electoral State of Brandenburg Jokiem I not only refused the transit of the cattle and horses purchased by Marin, but also demanded that the Principality of Mecklenburg and the Principality of Pomerania also prohibited the transit of the cattle and horses of Marin.
These two principalities do not want to offend Marin's powerful neighbor Brandenburg for Marin. So they both reject Marin's request for a cattle and horse to pass through.
In desperation, Marin had to ask Lübeck, the leader of the Hanseatic League, to come forward and ask them to help put pressure on the two countries. Lübeck did come forward to help put pressure on the pressure. The Principality of Mecklenburg surrendered because it was more dependent on the Hanseatic League. But Pomerania was simply a wilderness rural country by the Baltic Sea and did not care about Lübeck's threat. So things froze.
The Lübecks proposed that their cargo ships could load cattle and horses in coastal ports in northern Poland, and then unload them in the Principal of Mecklenburg or the Principal of Schleswig to the west and continue to rush.
But Marin was not willing to do this, because loading 10,000 cattle and 1,000 horses and unloading them would cost huge manpower and material resources. Moreover, the freight was not cheap. The best choice was to drive them away on land. Because these cattle and horses could survive by eating some weeds everywhere.
In desperation, Marin had to send someone to bribe the Duke of Pomerania. The Duke of Pomerania finally told Marin's men that this was pressure from the Brandenburg Electoral State and not a question of money.
So, in the end, Marin thought of a solution, which was to send someone to register a chamber of commerce in the city of Lubeck. Then, in the name of the chamber of commerce of Lubeck, he asked to pass with tens of thousands of cattle and thousands of horses. In this way, the cattle and horses that passed through the Principality of Pomerania no longer belonged to Marin.
Then after arriving at Lübeck, the chamber of commerce, which originally belonged to Marin, "reselled" cattle and sheep to Marin. In this way, when these cattle and horses pass, they are no longer Marin's things. The Brandenburg electorate's requirement was to prevent the cattle and horses of Marin from passing, but it was never said that Lübeck's cattle and horses would not be allowed to pass.
In this way, although they knew there was a problem, Marin and the Principality of Pomerania perfectly avoided the difficulties of the Brandenburg Electoral State, giving Crimea the opportunity to pass by land.
But because of this trouble, the 10,000 cows and 1,000 war horses that were originally planned to be introduced from Crimea in autumn, and it was not until winter.
Tens of thousands of cows and thousands of horses have a huge noise when passing by. Fortunately, these cattle and horses are all livestock that can solve the problem by eating grass. Especially the 1,000 Eastern European Mongolian horses and war horses produced in Rimea can also be eaten grass along the way. If it were replaced with European horses, a thousand war horses would require a large amount of oats every day, and the cost of feeding was extremely high.
Driven by a group of herders, these tens of thousands of cattle and thousands of horses passed through Lithuania and Poland, entered the Principality of Pomerania, and then entered the Principality of Mecklenburg. Then, they continued to go westward until the native area of East Friesland.
By the New Year of 1504, these tens of thousands of cows and thousands of horses finally arrived outside Orich's city...
As soon as they arrived in Orich, the treatment of these cattle and horses immediately changed greatly. The Eastern European Mongolian horses and war horses were immediately arranged to enter the official horse farm, raised as treasures, and fed a lot of oats and some soybeans transported from the Americas.
And those bulls, because there is no shortage of bulls in China, Marin picked out two thousand heads and killed them to eat meat...
Although these 10,000 Crimean cows have lost a lot of weight after a long journey, their muscles have not decreased due to long-term running, and their muscles are very strong and chewy.
These two thousand cows had just completed the "Long March" and before they could breathe a sigh of relief, they were unlucky to be retreated into the slaughterhouse and turned into beef.
It just so happened that the weather was still very cold in January, and the thinly sliced beef was used by Marin to eat fat beef hotpot...
However, the only thing that is the lack of beauty is that there is no chili in the hot pot base soup and it is not tasty enough. Therefore, Marin can only use beef bone soup as the base soup and add some other sauces to make a fat beef hot pot that is not spicy.
Marin's way of eating suddenly began to become popular in the East Friesian aristocratic circle. Because of the high yield of grain, the East Friesian aristocrats are now all rich and have paid a lot of attention to eating and drinking. In the past, everyone was used to eating black bread and rarely ate white bread. However, since he became rich with Marin, the East Friesian aristocrats ate "Queen" white bread that was very expensive in the early Middle Ages, even the kings did not eat often. After hearing about the great "God of Food" Marin and invented a delicacy called "Fat Beef Hotpot", they immediately followed suit. Just so, Marin sent people to kill two thousand cows, with a large amount of beef, which made everyone happy.
