Chapter 5381 Tathagata and Chanting Buddha

After hearing this, Lin Chen murmured the Buddhist verse he just said in his heart and said:

"Work hard and do your best. You may have limited manpower, but you can do a lot. And if you work calmly, what else can't you do successfully?"

After hearing the words, Venerable Duonan smiled and said something like Amitabha Buddha: "What the donor said is absolutely true. People's abilities may not be very strong, but if they work hard, be calm and sober when faced with problems, be less impulsive, and lead others to be charitable, they will not only be able to

Do a lot of things, and a lot of things can be accomplished.”

After saying this, he said sternly: "This is the way that the holy monk Bhattacharya lived in the world, and it is also the way to practice. The reason why he adheres to this principle lies in the Bhadra Sutra."

When Lin Chen heard this, he felt blessed and blurted out: "That's why the first sentence on the second page of the Bhadu Sutra is about the Tathagata's conduct and the realm of Tathagata's wisdom. Tathagata's upholding, Tathagata's power, Tathagata's fearlessness...

…”

"Yes, adhering to this principle, your strength should be infinite, you should be fearless, your heart should be fearless, and you should obtain boundless Buddha Dharma." said the Venerable Duo Nan.

Lin Chen suddenly understood. Looking back on his previous practice experience, he felt that he had the same idea.

At the beginning of his cultivation, when he was practicing in Tianji Sect in Yannan Region, wasn't he working hard and diligently?

This is the same even if you obtain the Supreme Divine Cauldron.

And, ten years are like one day.

Isn’t this diligence?

And persisting for such a long time to this day, isn’t it a manifestation of willpower?

In particular, "The Tathagata is upholding, the Tathagata is powerful, and the Tathagata is fearless", which impressed Lin Chen deeply.

At the beginning, he practiced hard and persistently. Although his strength was limited, he never gave up. Facing powerful opponents, he still had the courage to fight and was never afraid.

At this moment, all the things he had practiced before flashed through Lin Chen's spiritual world like a horse watching a lantern, and he suddenly felt enlightened.

Putting his hands together, Lin Chen said with a pious face: "Amitabha, I understand."

His body is woven with Buddhist light and magnificent. He no longer looks like a sword cultivator, but a true Buddhist cultivator.

Venerable Duonan was greatly surprised when he saw this. He stared at Lin Chen for a long time, and finally said with emotion: "I didn't expect that the donor had never been in contact with Buddhism, but he had such a profound understanding. How good it is."

Lin Chen smiled and waved his hands and said: "Your Majesty, thank you. If it weren't for your guidance this time, I don't know what year or month it would have taken me to realize it."

Lin Chen said this sentence seriously and there was absolutely no lie.

As the saying goes, the master leads you in, and cultivation depends on the individual.

Without the guidance of a wise teacher, it would be extremely difficult to get started.

Therefore, any cultivator, when embarking on the path of cultivation, will become a disciple.

This was the truth when Lin Chen was practicing in Tianji Sect.

With a serious look on his face, Lin Chen asked for advice: "Honorable Sir, at the beginning of the third page of this sutra, there is Tathagata Samadhi, I don't know which Samadhi it is?"

Venerable Donan said without hesitation: "Samadhi is one of the Buddhist practice methods, which means to eliminate all distracting thoughts and calm the mind."

"If you want to do this, there are two ways. One is the innate ability, that is, "birth and concentration", but this is extremely rare. The owner is a natural Buddhist cultivator, just like the donor is a natural sword cultivator.

.”

"The second type is "later attained concentration", which means practicing hard the day after tomorrow."

After explaining the explanation, Venerable Duonan said with a smile: "No matter what method we practice as Buddhists, we all reach the same destination through different paths and obtain liberation. He said that there are three doors to liberation, one is emptiness without leakage, the second is formlessness, and the third is absence of wishes.

"

Lin Chen was deeply moved and said: "I once heard people in Buddhism say that one flower and one world, one leaf and one Tathagata, so there is no self, no one, and no living beings. I think this is the truth."

Venerable Duonan nodded with a smile and asked: "When the donor looked at this sutra, did he find it difficult to hear it clearly? Even if he could hear it clearly, it still felt obscure and difficult to understand?"

Lin Chen nodded when he heard this, raised his hands and asked, "Sir, I wonder if there is any way to crack it?"

Venerable Duonan said: "People in my Buddhist sect need to recite sutras and practice Buddhism, and reciting sutras also has three flavors, and there are two methods."

When Lin Chen heard the words, he quickly listened carefully, for fear of missing a word.

The Venerable Master Duannan began to talk: "First, one should concentrate on contemplating the appearance of the Buddha, or one should concentrate on observing the reality of the body. The two are to contemplate and remember the Buddha, or one should chant the name of the Buddha and practice the Dharma. This is called the samadhi of reciting the name of the Buddha.

Practicing the samadhi of reciting the name of the Buddha."

"Secondly, it is caused by these three causes and actions, such as the mind entering meditation, or the Buddha's body appearing as money, or the reality of the body of Dharma. It is called the Samadhi of Minding the Buddha, and it is the Samadhi of the Buddha's name that is achieved as a result."

After explaining the two methods, the Venerable Master Duolingo looked more serious: "The Samadhi of chanting Buddha's name because of the practice is called 'cultivation', and the Samadhi of chanting Buddha's name that is achieved is called 'getting'. The Infinite Life Sutra says: 'In the appearance of the body

The samadhi of reciting the name of the Buddha is obtained.' It is also said: 'Those who see this will see all the Buddhas in the ten directions, so they are called the samadhi of the remembrance of the Buddha.

Dharma, so it is the two-vehicle realm of sravakas and pratyekabuddhas. The seventh chapter of the Wisdom Sutra says: 'The Samadhi of reciting the name of the Buddha can eliminate all kinds of troubles and past sins.'"

After saying that, he looked at Lin Chen.

I saw that Lin Chen had closed his eyes at some point, and his expression was sometimes confused and sometimes enlightened. He was so mesmerized when he heard it, as if he had stepped into a mysterious world of Buddhism and Taoism.

What Venerable Duonan said was just like the principles of Buddhism. Each word resounded in Lin Chen's ears like a bell and lingered in his mind for a long time.

Seeing this, Venerable Duonan did not bother him. The Samadhi of chanting Buddha's name he said seemed simple, but in fact it was extraordinary. Even those who have practiced Buddhism for many years would find it difficult to understand.

Because of this, very few people step into the realm of the Holy Spirit from the path of Buddhism.

The profound Buddhist teachings can only be understood but cannot be expressed in words.

Lord Duonan feels that he has said what he should say. How much Lin Chen can understand depends on himself.

Lin Chen's mind kept echoing what Venerable Do Nan said.

After it got dark outside, he opened his eyes and said, "Honorable Sir, listening to what you just said, I think there are two types of Buddhist practice, one is sudden enlightenment and the other is gradual enlightenment."

"What the donor said is absolutely true."

Venerable Duonan nodded with a smile, and then heard Lin Chen say: "The former is like a person who is born with Buddhism. He practices Buddhism and makes thousands of miles in a day, while the latter has no talent and needs to practice hard, study Buddhism exclusively, and gain enlightenment through the effort of water drops and stones."

Speaking of this, Lin Chen smiled: "Actually, this is not true for sword cultivators, sword cultivators, and even practitioners of other martial arts."

Venerable Duonan exclaimed: "The donor was able to understand in such a short period of time, which really impresses the poor monk."

Lin Chen added: "The samadhi of chanting Buddha's name just mentioned by the Venerable can be roughly divided into two types. One is the cause and the other is the result. Therefore, there is a theory of cause and effect in Buddhism."

When Venerable Duonan heard this, he looked at Lin Chen with an even more surprised expression, and then heard him say: "The so-called Tathagata Samadhi and the Buddha-Nambutsu Samadhi are actually different paths leading to the same destination. This is what the world often says, and they are inseparable from their origins."

Venerable Do Nan said in awe and respect: "Amitabha, this poor monk has received his teaching."

After that, he looked at Lin Chen like a monster, feeling that Lin Chen's talent was too high.

Is this the monster that the world often calls him?

Lin Chen raised his hands in greeting and said, "Your Majesty, you have given me too much praise. It should be me who has learned a lesson."

These principles about Buddhism and Taoism would be difficult to understand without explanation from the other party and relying on Lin Chen to work behind closed doors.

Three thousand avenues, different paths lead to the same destination.

No matter which path you take, the final goal is the pinnacle of spiritual practice.

At this moment, Lin Chen had a clear understanding.

Although he has never understood Buddhism before, he can treat Buddhism with the attitude of practicing swordsmanship, that is, perseverance and perseverance until death.

After thinking about it, a smile appeared on Lin Chen's face, and he was confident in understanding the Bhatta Sutra.
