Chapter 1971 Parietal Bone Relics
A rain washes away the dullness and leadenness between heaven and earth, and returns the earth to a refreshing and earthy fragrance.
A gust of soft wind blew fine rain in the hall, and Guan Zhongyi felt as if his clothes were soaked by the apricot blossom rain, and his face was not cold by the willow wind.
It's just that this poem describes the subtlety and wind to the extreme, which no one in the past and present can surpass, but it can't alleviate Guan Zhongyi's embarrassment at this time.
He was born in the Yin Yang family and belonged to the Taoist school. He had a deep understanding of Yin Yang and the Five Elements. He was good at predicting the weather, but he didn't want to be embarrassed by the rain.
Monk Huiwen seemed to notice Guan Zhongyi's embarrassment, so he took the initiative to calm down the atmosphere and said: "The donor was born in yin and yang, but calculating the solar terms requires precise calculation. But the poor monk only got it by chance, and he is a bit clever."
Guan Zhongyi smiled bitterly and said: "Master is so generous, but I am actually showing my cowardice."
King Wen laughed, patted Guan Zhongyi's shoulder affectionately, and said, "It's rare to see you looking defeated. Today's trip is well worth it."
The words were meant to tease Guan Zhongyi, but he took the initiative to end the topic so as not to embarrass Guan Zhongyi.
After saying this, King Wen looked at Monk Huiwen and said, "I would like to climb up to the Glazed Pagoda to have a look."
The Glazed Pagoda is the most important building of the Great Baoen Temple. It houses the collections of the Great Baoen Temple and the relics of predecessors for thousands of years. It is absolutely impossible for ordinary people to enter, but King Wen... was not an ordinary person.
Therefore, in the face of King Wen's request, Monk Huiwen did not hesitate and said: "Please come with the poor monk, Your Majesty."
Guan Zhongyi followed King Wen, and the three of them passed through the Buddhist temple and came to the glazed pagoda at the core of the Dabaoen Temple.
As soon as he arrived at the foot of the Glazed Pagoda, Guan Zhongyi frowned slightly, then silently took half a step back.
This glazed pagoda houses the relics of no less than ten eminent monks, and its Buddhist charm has persisted for hundreds of years, making Guan Zhongyi very uncomfortable.
King Wen glanced at Guan Zhongyi and said, "Wait for me here."
Guan Zhongyi breathed a sigh of relief, saluted and stood silently.
Monk Huiwen saw everything with his eyes and didn't say much. He just smiled and led King Wen up to the Glazed Pagoda.
Climbing up the steps of the nine-story pagoda, you will see some Buddhist treasures along the way. Monk Huiwen will choose some of the things that King Wen is interested in and explain them. King Wen listens with interest and asks a few questions from time to time. Monk Huiwen tells everything he knows and answers them one by one.
.
We reached the top of the ninth-floor tower and looked out from here. We could only see half of the Rain Flower Terrace. We could also vaguely see the Jinling City hidden in the hazy mist and rain in the distance. The gentle breeze was blowing on our face and the drizzle was wrapped around us. Although we didn't notice it,
It was cold, but after just standing for a while, King Wen's clothes were already moist.
“Good scene.”
King Wen praised it and said: "Looking at the distant view from here, it is really a different world."
Monk Huiwen stood half a body behind King Wen and said with a smile: "When you climb high and look far away, you can reap the beautiful scenery."
"The higher it is, the colder it is."
King Wen sighed, which seemed to mean something.
But he didn't say much. He turned around and looked at Monk Huiwen and asked, "I heard that Master Xuanzang's parietal bone relics are in this glazed pagoda?"
Faced with this extremely sensitive question, Monk Huiwen remained silent for an unprecedented moment before replying: "Indeed."
The parietal bone relic of Master Xuanzang is the only verifiable parietal bone relic left in the world, and it is also one of the three most important treasures of Buddhism in the world.
