68. The gangsters on Sherwood Avenue
Five o'clock in the afternoon, busy JFK International Airport.
Lin Feng, who had just slept, felt relaxed all over, but Evelin beside him was not in such a good state.
She doesn't have the habit of taking naps, which makes her very sleepy now.
The siblings arrived at the airport waiting area early, waiting for the dusty Mr. Perkins.
"What does he look like?" Evelin asked curiously.
Lin Feng thought for a moment, "He's fat and cute. He's the type that otakus would like."
Evelin pointed at a man not far away and said, "Is that him?"
Lin Feng looked back and saw that it was indeed Lao Pa. This guy was wearing a serious suit and pants, and he felt like he was going to attend a press conference.
Lin Feng walked up to him and greeted him, "Brother, it's a holiday now, you can take it easy."
Wearing sunglasses, a suit, and holding a briefcase, Perkins looks like a business elite.
"I want that kid to understand whose sister he is dating."
Lin Feng patted him on the shoulder, "Chloe is already 26 years old and should have her own life. Do you hope that she will never get married?"
Perkins shook his head, "Of course not, it's just that that bastard doesn't seem like a serious person. I want him to stay away from Chloe."
Lao Pa noticed Evelin next to him and greeted him politely.
Lin Feng introduced, "This is my sister Evelin. You saw her photos before and praised her for being very sexy."
Evelin chuckled.
Perkins had displeasure on his face and looked at Lin Feng with a look of resentment, scolding his brother for leaking his secret.
"Okay, okay, my car is outside. If you want, we can go find Chloe now." Evelin said with a smile.
Perkins adjusted his sunglasses and said seriously, "Of course, I want to let that kid know how powerful I am now."
Evelyn's old Ford was their only means of transportation in New York. After seeing the car, Old Pa thought that the car was not enough to deter the bastard who was picking up his sister.
But I’m not willing to spend money to rent a luxury car, so I can only do this.
"Hey Ms. Evelin, are you sure this car can be driven?"
As soon as the car started, Perkins, who was sitting in the back seat, quickly stopped.
Evelin was a little unhappy, she didn't allow anyone to question her car.
"Of course, I spent two thousand dollars on it."
After saying that, Evelin stepped on the accelerator, and the old Ford roared out of the airport.
Lin Feng and Perkins looked at each other. They began to miss the second-hand Volvo in Los Angeles. Compared to the old Ford, that car was as noble as a princess.
Chloe's band is on Sherwood Avenue, which is a fringe corner of Queens. Usually few people go there. Most of them are gathering places for young people in society, such as gangs formed spontaneously by young hoodlums.
To be honest, Lin Feng was still a little worried about going to that kind of place. He was afraid that Perkins would make things serious and end badly.
"Qiqi, don't be impulsive, otherwise we will get into trouble, do you understand?"
Lin Feng told him over and over again that anything could happen to this guy when he is impulsive.
Qiqi didn't speak, just breathed heavily.
I can only pray for God's blessing. To be honest, Lin Feng doesn't know what to do.
Entering Sherwood Street, the style of painting changes. The public walls on both sides of the street are covered with graffiti, and young people in various clothes are strolling on the street.
This is a black area with the highest crime rate in Queens.
"Hell, why would Chloe come to a place like this?" Perkins said through gritted teeth.
Black people on the street noticed this strange old Ford, driven by a girl, and planned to stop and ask.
"Ma'am, how can I help you?"
Several young black men stopped in front of the car and asked, one of them looking at the car warily.
Lin Feng understood that they were probably street drug dealers and were wary of any strangers, fearing that police officers would come in in plain clothes.
Lin Feng knocked on the car window, but without lowering the glass, he told people outside through the car window that they were here to see their friends.
After walking away smoothly, Evelin breathed a sigh of relief and vowed not to do it again.
The residents of Sherwood Avenue are the most stubborn group of people in Queens. They adhere to the old New York spirit and exclude anyone who is not a New Yorker.
Everything went smoothly and there was no trouble here. Old Ford drove into the old warehouse where Chloe's band was located.
After getting off the car, Lin Feng easily smelled the smell of alcohol. He had a bad feeling that these guys might get together to take drugs.
"Relax man, remember what I said, don't be impulsive."
Lin Feng gave Lao Pa a sedative again. This was Sherwood Street.
The atmosphere instantly became tense.
Soon, they saw a group of flashy young men and women on the second floor platform.
"I'm taking her to Los Angeles."
Seeing the scene in front of him, Perkins clenched his fists.
There were only twenty beer bottles, cigarette butts and some used syringes scattered on the ground.
Obviously, these people didn't get together as a band, but as a group of degenerate young people.
Seeing a stranger coming up, a bald black man came forward cursing, and you could see that he had a gun on his waist.
Evelin looked at Lin Feng, the situation became complicated.
"Who are you? Get out of here and tell me you didn't see anything, right?"
Soon, a gun was placed in front of the three of them. This was a real gun!
"Relax brother, you don't want to pull the trigger and be known as a murderer for the rest of your life. Then there will never be any more unrestrained drinking and, of course, syringes."
Not knowing where he came from, Lin Feng actually reached out and pressed the gun. His mind went blank at the time, and he only knew to stay calm and show off his aura.
Even if he is killed by a bullet, he will die standing up.
The young men and women gathered around, looking unhappy. It seemed that they had just finished a carnival and were getting excited.
Perhaps inspired by Lin Feng, Perkins bravely stood up.
"I won't tell the police everything I saw. I'm also a New Yorker and know the rules here. But you want me to take Chloe away."
Perkins was very close to the leading black man. His face was serious, although his hands were trembling.
"Chloe? Who are you?" the black man asked.
Perkins continued to take a step forward, "I am her brother, let me take her away now."
The black man laughed, "Chloe told us she has no family, so, sorry."
Perkins's body was trembling. He was trembling in front of a group of gun-wielding gangsters!
Lin Feng believed that he had to stand up, otherwise things would be difficult to handle. He did not expect that the matter was much more serious than imagined.
The 190cm tall body still caused psychological pressure to the gangsters, "Man, we don't want to delay your timing, we just want to get Chloe back, it's that simple. If you have a big appetite, I can find a friend to make it for you."
Appetite becomes smaller."
The black man looked at him and said nothing. He was speculating on the abilities of the tall man in front of him. The little gangsters didn't want to provoke the big shot.
Lin Feng looked straight in the eyes without any dodge. This is how he puts pressure on his opponents on the court.
Being at the mercy of three strangers? The black guy doesn't want to lose his authority.
Just then, footsteps were heard downstairs, and four young people came up.
When they saw Lin Feng, they paused for a second, and the man in a turban called out his name.
"Gary? Why are you here?"
