A little bit of history

This is an exciting era. We have no intention of introducing the entire sky in a panoramic way. We only plan to pick a few shining stars from the historical stars as embellishments...

In the 17th year of Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty, the diary was no longer available. The news from Jiangnan was intermittent, and the Tang newspapers in various provinces were no longer accurate. Today, the news from Suzhou Province was to annihilate tens of thousands of Shun thieves, but tomorrow the announcement of Zhejiang Province was to truly determine the Daming trap of the thieves.

By March, there was rumors that the capital in the Jianghuai area had been surrounded by Shunzi and was even lost.

On the eighth day of the April 19th, the Huai'an Governor's Office finally received a Tang newspaper. It is said that after the Lu Governor's letter was revealed, the wife pushed her and fell to the ground. After a while, she recovered. The wife was a lady from a family. When she looked up, she saw two lines of words on the Tang newspaper: The thief entered the inner city and the official family was gone.

April 17th was a good weather, and the sun was extremely warm, but the lieutenant outside the Nanjing official was not in a good mood. An old man with a disheveled hair and a slutty shirt was full of mouth. He cried so hard that he was about to break in, but had no choice but to ask someone to come in and report.

I thought a small official would scold the old man as well, but who would have thought that the guy would come out and bow down. After a while, not only the doctor, but also the Secretary of the Shangshu and the Censor came out. A servant turned over and gave the lieutenant a slaughter. The guy realized that the old man in front of him was the Grand Secretary of the Former East Pavilion who had just escaped from the capital, and the Prince's Young Guardian Wei Xucheng.

He only brought one news: On March 29, the capital was lost, and the emperor hung his head in Coal Mountain to sacrifice his country.

Little Dus Dus Duke of Laiyuan Town feels that his boss is unlucky.

There was a news from the capital calling for the king to defeat the thief. The general was about to go to save the master. Who would have thought that the soldiers had set off in a hurry and just one day when the news came that the emperor had become a hanged ghost on the coal mountain, and the master's uncle Wang Chengen also followed him up the tree.

So the adults thought that it would be better to surrender the Shunzi, but they didn't know where the master who had been invited from Taiyuan arrived.

The master also heard that the general of Guanning Wu Sangui had recovered the capital, so he quickly sent someone to congratulate him. The congratulations were flattered, such as expelling the thieves from the north today, and the Ming Dynasty defeated the enemy invaders from the south. He also did not expect that Wu Sangui had surrendered to the Tartars and flattered him to the horse's hooves.

It seems that "Xiao Qing" cannot surrender, so the adults have to go to Dashun to surrender again. Deng Keen became a pitiful envoy. The young emperor of Dashun was in a good mood. When he saw people from the north accepting surrender, he gave the general a mighty general. He also encouraged him to persist in the war behind enemy lines, saying that he would be the backbone.

Dunkeen went back to Laiyuan after a lot of hardships, but was scolded by the adults: "If you want you to go, are you going to get some money back? Is it useless to just be the general?"

But the Tartars were so tight that when Deng Kehen arrived at the place where Emperor Dashun was stationed, he could no longer find anyone. Finally, he found out where he was. When he saw the emperor, Chen Ming got General. Oh no, after what the mighty general asked, the emperor hummed for a while, saying that the road was estranged and inconvenient to transport, and then he issued an order to promote the Lord to General Guoyi, without mentioning anything else.

When Deng Keen returned to Laiyuan, General Weiwu's mansion disappeared. It turned out that the adults had taken troops up the mountain to fight guerrillas. He finally saw the adults again, but because he still had not received any money, he was scolded and went to continue asking for it.

So Deng Keen traveled between Shunting and Lords. Shunting suddenly went to Xiangyang, Hanzhong, and Changsha. The title of Lords also went from General General, General Quan was promoted to General Admiral of the Five North China provinces, but the money was never received, so Lords always guerrillas on the mountain.

Dunkeen didn't know how many years had passed, but Dashun fought back to Shanxi. The generals of the five northern provinces of North China took his only ten soldiers down the mountain, ready to truly enjoy the treatment of the general. Who would have thought of following Dunkeen to meet the general's general, glanced at the team of more than ten people, hummed, and returned to the room for a while, and came out with a roll of yellow cloth. He coughed twice, cleared his throat, and said:

"In accordance with the heavens, the emperor ordered that Lu Da, the general who was appointed as the general and the general in charge of the five provinces, had only ten or two of his troops, and he was appointed as the constable of the Laiyuan County Office, and he was awarded this."

Mushuntang is an old official.

He said he was an official and was very generous. In fact, he was similar to a constable, at most he was a soapman. In Jizhou, where the clerks were full of scholars, he did not dare to call himself an official. However, his work was much more noble than the constables, and he was not much different from the clerks. He just read the official report. Every day when the official report was there, he would read the official report to the people around him.

As the wars became more and more accurate, the official newspaper was becoming more and more accurate. When the thief was about to come, the official newspaper wrote: "The thief fled from the east of the E Shunjiang River, and the official army blocked the front and chased the back, and the day was settled!"

Within two days, Lao Mu read the official newspaper again, and he was already: "Suizumi was arrogant and forced into Jizhou!"

The official report in two days will be: "The Shun Army is less than 500 miles from Jizhou. If the official army stands firm, it will definitely be a shock to the tiger's mouth. I only pity the people to suffer from disasters, and temporarily move forward to tempt them to go deeper."

By yesterday, it was said that there were already soldiers outside the city, and the official report Lao Mu saw was: "The rebel army entered Lincheng, and the Ming bandits abandoned the city and fled, and the liberation of Jizhou is about to be restored!"

Lao Mu was a little dizzy. I don’t remember when Jizhou was once captured. So how could he talk about “restoration”? After a day of worry, he didn’t expect that the prefect had already run away. The next day, there was an official newspaper. After Lao Mu opened it, he shook his head and said to the people with a sad face as usual: “Two cents of charcoal and one liang of oyster kernels can stop hematuria. One sheep whip, boil it in water, and the golden spear will not fall after taking it..."

Lao Mu later learned that the servant didn't know that the prefect had run away, so he went to get the official newspaper as usual in the morning. Seeing that there was no one in the circumcision room, he took the top roll of paper. Who would have thought that this was a prescription for aphrodisiacs that no one took away when he escaped.

In a certain year of Yongchang, Emperor Taizong of Dashun led his army to conquer Fengyang. He saw the ruins of the Ming Taizu Tomb, and felt very uneasy.

Looking back on the years of war with the Manchus, although he was not very proud of the respect for the Ming Taizu Zhu Yuanzhang, his hardships in expelling the Mongolian Tartars were deeply rooted in the three aspects, and he couldn't help but appreciate each other. He also thought that the great cause of Dashun unification was the beginning of the time when he was employed. Why not restore the former Ming royal family and let them guard the ancestral tomb? I thought that the rebel army killed and the Qing army slaughtered each other in the past years, and there would be no more people left. He not only recruited talents, but also missed the scholars of the previous dynasty, why not do it?

But when the people below did it, they realized that it was not the same thing. A notice was released, from the prince to the third generation grandson of the General of the State, seven or eight thousand people came. Zhu Moumou had everything, and Taizong's mind changed.

I've been nobility for many years...

Since the thief started to offer the thief, our surname Zhu lost its former status. In the 16th year of Chongzhen, my family's royal palace was also conquered by the thief. My father and mother were both unfortunate, and my younger brother disappeared. I escaped alone, and could only rely on my own money to rush to Fengyang, hoping that there would be people in the ancestral tomb family. Who would have thought that Fengyang of the ancestral tomb had fallen, and the thief was about to go north to the capital, but soon after, news of the late emperor's death. I had to use the only money left on my body to change into a civilian outfit, hide my family tree, and throw myself into a wealthy family building on a nearby mountain to become a living long-term worker.

I have done such a job since I was a child. My face was earth-behind the sky, my hands were thick, and my face was dark. I thought no one would recognize me as the prince of the royal palace. In a few years, I have seen retreating thieves, Manhus who went south, saw dead bodies everywhere on the road, and even experienced the battle between bandits attacking the village. I even shot down a bandit soldier with arrows. The only one I had never seen was my royal army in the Ming Dynasty.

Gradually, I became indifferent. What Ming Dynasty? I just need to live. But things were always beyond my expectations. The thieves fought back to Fengyang, but they did not burn the ancestral tombs again. Instead, they set up an altar to worship and sent troops to garrison.

Two days later, the thief's official office issued an announcement to recruit the former Ming royal family and said that the Dashun should be the throne to the previous dynasty, and those who come to respond would be rewarded. I was a little moved, so I asked the village chief for a leave, brought the family tree, wrote the Fengming La, and went straight to Fengyang Mansion.

In the lobby of Fengyang Mansion, I presented the Mingla family tree. The prefect who shook his head for a long time looked at it. He probably didn't know how to pronounce my big name Zhu Yi, and handed over Mingla to the master next to him. The master asked without hesitation: "Zhu Xunji, are you a royal family in the previous dynasty? Let's talk about your bullshit. I have been in the temple for so many years, and I have never seen the emperor's ancestors. What about the Emperor of Heavenly Qi Zhu Tiansong and the Emperor of Wanli Zhu Ligou? Who are you lying to?"

I was about to explain, and the prefect who was shaking my head slapped the table: "I pretended to be a nobleman in the previous dynasty, and tried to make a profit. I was depressed and sent to fill the border!" The two constables came up and knocked me down. When I woke up, I was already in the prison cart...

Just as the prince of Wei Ye, Zhu Fu, was loaded into a prison car, the prefect of Fengyang was holding a booklet and said to the master: "This deposed Ming noble is too uneducated. Look at Prince Wei Ye, he actually called Feng Ye. Doesn't his father know that the duck is a mosquito?" As he said that, he waved his pen and circled the three words "Zhu Fu" in the booklet. "Look at what he was like just now, do you really think I don't know his bird's name?"

In the first month of the fifth year of Yongchang in Dashun, Hanyang City gathered and dignitaries gathered to see off the Cheng family who was left behind in Huainan who went to Jiangnan. The front army had gone south ten days ago, and the left and right armies also advanced in different directions. Today, Lord Cheng led his personal army out of the capital. The ladies who were devoted to seeing the beautiful family were disappointed. Lord Cheng's personal army was actually three hundred empty carts.

Although the Cheng-sect's remaining duties in Huainan were to organize supplies, food and supplies for the southern army, and there was no need to go to the battlefield to kill the enemy in person, it seemed to be a bit too much.

It was Master Cheng's bold statement to answer the doubts: "Jiangnan has always been famous for its wealth. This time, my commander went to the expedition and ordered all generals to entrust their subordinates, and those who dared to rob are immediately executed. Any money offered by the scholars and people in Jiangnan, or the official property of the fake court, will be transported by our commander's personal army and will be presented directly to the capital to the emperor. The chariot will return to the court to guard the western suburbs of our Marshal's Mansion, and will never stay in the capital, and the ministers will not be troubled."

After saying that, everyone cheered and shook the sky: "The king's army, Nanzheng, did not violate any crime!"

While others were not paying attention, Lord Bai turned his head toward a tooth beside him: "Even if only one of the three hundred big cars is broken, I want your head to change it!"

Looking at the army that drove out of the capital Wuchang, the restaurant was already talking.

"Did you hear that the one who led the troops to fight this time was Lord Cheng, who guarded Xiangyang City, who was the most trusted person today."

"Of course, I heard that the rats in Xiangyang City in the third year of Yongchang now have their salary of seventh grade."

"Hey, the so-called king is not dead, Yu Shunliu is not lost in wind and thunderstorm, Guangwu River is frozen, Zhaolie jumps through Tanxi, and King Kang crosses mud horses. In fact, Xiangyang can keep it, which is not all the blessings of today. Those ministers are just lucky."

"Don't say that, you have never heard that Lord Cheng is a Marquis of Wu and Qingtian around him. When Emperor Taizu took Chang'an to Yanjing, he built a city wall in Xiangyang and hoarded food and grass. In the first year of Yongchang, he saw such a war in Xiangyang in the third year of Yongchang, and I am afraid it would be a premonition to see that there was such a war in Xiangyang in the third year of Yongchang."

"This, in the first year of Yongchang, I was preparing for war preparations in Xiangyang, not for the sake of today. It seems that the world's surname is Li..."

"It's no wonder Lord Cheng was credited by Jin Shang."

"Speak softly, dare to say such ruthless words, don't want to live?"

"...If the battle in Xiangyang is said to be at a critical moment, Emperor Taizong's reinforcements were blocked by the Tartar soldiers in Jingzhou. In Xiangyang City, the food, bow, arrow, fire and fire were gone. The soldiers and civilians in the city were all in panic. Only Lord Cheng and Lord Niu, the governor of Xiangyang Prefecture, were the son of Niu Xiangye, who was also from Henan. They urged them to go out of the city to fight. Sure enough, the Tartar soldiers were unable to defeat the city repeatedly, and they would be very tired. They were killed in the battle. If they had left the city a few days earlier, the Tartar soldiers would have the courage to be brave. If they had left the city a few days later, the soldiers in the city would be trapped. It was just right."

"Why did I hear that after this war, Emperor Taizong issued an order to blame Jin Shang and Cheng Niu, saying that defending the city was indeed a contribution, but unfortunately he was too hasty and left the city by himself without waiting for the army to arrive. Although he slightly defeated the Tartar soldiers, he allowed them to escape at the opportunity."

"I'm afraid only the historical ministers know what's going on."

Does the historian know the truth?

Historians in the Republican era lost a big and small face in the "Cheng Series Biography" based on very reliable first-hand materials "The Records of Taizong" and "The Records of Shizu". When historians in the Republican era defended the city, the Cheng system was simply a perfect complex of Zhang Mengtan, Zhang Xun, Wang Jian and Cui Kov.

However, if contemporary historians write articles to praise the compilation of "Shunshi" properly, they will definitely be overwhelmed by countless condemnations. The most powerful example is the Cheng series of biography. After reading the entire article, the image of a loyal founding father was vividly revealed on paper.

However, whether it is the notes of the times or the diary of Niu's family that has been leaked with the stolen Niu's tomb in recent years, it records that Lord Cheng had an irresistible shake during the Xiangyang Battle, the most critical period of the Dashun Revolution.

The "Cheng Series Biography" points out that Lord Cheng has made two great contributions in the Battle of Xiangyang. One is that he discovered the weakness of the Qing army's front at the most critical moment and asked Shizu to go out of the city from Xiaobeimen to fight back, and finally achieved a great victory in Xiangyang. The second is that he and Lord Niu Qi, the prefect of Xiangyang, contributed funds to raise dead soldiers, and prepared to escort Shizu out of the city without defending Xiangyang. His loyalty can be seen.

But looking at historical materials, it is difficult to understand that after Shizu left the city, these dead soldiers who were originally guards, led by the two emperors Cheng and Niu, controlled the commanding heights and the ordnance warehouses in the city, and disarmed the remaining troops. They also held a white flag to open the most dense north gate of the Qing army...

Of course, the descendants of the Cheng clan gave a perfect explanation. The dead soldiers occupied Xiangyang to eliminate traitors, and opening the north gate to raise the white flag was to confuse the Qing army's profound strategy of reducing the pressure of Emperor Shizu's attack. If the Qing army had not been defeated at that time, what would the consequences of the battle in Xiangyang? Lord Cheng's descendants would definitely tell us that the Qing army admired the predecessors' reputation, and they must have ridden into the city and then rolled off the horse and surrendered. A few came to surrender.

Of course, many historians doubt the authenticity of "Niu's Diary" for sufficient reasons. The most important and irrefutable reason is that Niu Fu was so full that he had to record such a matter that he was also responsible in his diary. Therefore, in mainstream statements, Xiangyang is still a model defensive example that unites and is worthy of eternal commemoration of the Chinese nation.

——Excerpt from Gao Xiong's "Three Years of Yongchang"

"Carriage, assault!"

With the waving of the flag plaque officials, the cavalry teams composed of horse archers and horse constables in various counties in Daming Prefecture launched a final attack on the Qing army. Wherever the light cavalry passed, the Qing army was shot by bows, cut by swords, and smashed by sticks. The casualties were terrible, and the front completely collapsed.

The Shun Army of the Northern Expedition had already completely defeated the Qing army in the Daming area and took advantage of the situation to go north to Baoding Prefecture. Unexpectedly, when the fierce battle with the defenders, thousands of Qing troops bypassed the main force of the Shun Army and rushed straight to Daming Prefecture. Daming Prefecture Chief Zhao Buzhu hurriedly gathered the soldiers from various counties to fight, including detectives, archers, forked hands, salt inspectors, hunters, and powerful men. I thought that when I was dying for my country, who thought that the Qing army was not in war and was defeated after several attacks.

"This time I can get one or two of Beilebezi's heads. What a great opportunity, I've been named a marquis. After so many years, I finally got the opportunity." Mei Xinliang, the new county magistrate of Qingfeng County, was very excited.

"Brother, I think it's okay to get ten assistant leaders. I've seen at least twenty big flags just now!" Jia Lian, the Neihuang County Magistrate, was also very excited.

After a while, a Neihuang County constable dragged a body and ran back, shouting, "Neihuang County constable Zhu * killed the Tartar gangster Mandeha!" Mei and Jia came over to see, right? When they were excited, they reported that the archer of Qingfeng County had chopped off the head of the Qing army's Beizi Jierba. When the Mei County Magistrate heard this, he became arrogant.

But the two of them had no awesomeness for a long time, and their faces changed. When the results of the battle became more and more brilliant, the faces of the two adults became more and more strange.

The soldiers of Neihuang County killed 16 princes, thirty-three belles, and the sect leader led 171 people. Although the team in Qingfeng County only had 26 sect leader results, they killed fifty-one princes and captured more than a dozen princes. The results of the battle in Daming Mansion in this battle, the prince-level killed 200 prisoners...

Prefect Zhao was a little overwhelmed, should I report it? The court must have said that he was crazy, so he wouldn't report it. He clearly understood so many princes. As a result, before the prefect Zhao reported it, the court's announcement came out. In the battle of Baoding, he annihilated the enemy, killed dozens of princes, and hundreds of princes. Zhao Buzhu was still wondering whether the princes had come to me? Or is it that the Tartars commanded the soldiers and called them princes now?

It was only after many years that before the Qing court hunted north, it was a big ban on the border. Baoding Qing army sent surprise troops to attack Daming before, and several Manchu chiefs took the tokens of nobles on the city tower. When they saw the soldiers who set out, they threw them down. The ones who got the big ones were the prince and the small ones were the Beile. The reserved share was used up, so the tens of thousands of soldiers in Baoding City had few princes...

The tall and thin scholar Luodi looked at the empty rice jar, and his belly became even more hungry, and the yellow-faced woman's look of expectation and disappointment, and couldn't help but feel cruel: "Let's go to the rice shop to borrow food!"

Since ancient times, any person who can achieve great things must have the spirit of a king, and he will be twice the result with half the effort when doing things. That afternoon, the scholar was indeed panting and carrying a large bag of rice home for a meal. The next morning, he was carried into the Baoshan County Government and had a happy conversation with the county magistrate. The county magistrate angrily rebuked: "Since you know your kindness, why did you lead bandits to rob the rice shop..."

The scholar somehow rushed forward a few steps in his hurry, and hundreds of hungry people rushed into the rice shop and snatched eighteen rice shops. Only the kingly aura could explain all this.

As the leader of the bandits, the county magistrate immediately decided: "The crime should not be expelled, and the death should be executed!"

The scholar said quickly: "The ancestors were patrolling..."

As soon as he heard that there were still one or two old men in the court, the county magistrate immediately changed his sentence: "It is understandable that you are imprisoned for three years!" Since ancient times, someone in the court must have been rebelled, and if the rebellion fails, he can escape. This is a principle that has not changed since ancient times.

Next year, hungry people attacked the county town in riots. The scholar came out of prison. Later, he became a thief and was in charge of money and food. He did not dare to tell others under his real name, and called himself "Zhao Sui Xiong", so he created the wonderful life of the Zao Sui Xiong.

"The bandits were slow to bear early, and they rebelled on Baoshan. The government army repeatedly attacked and failed, and their flames became more and more arrogant. The bear thief was always weak, and he must ride on a bamboo bed when he was in battle. The servants went to him, and often claimed to be the second person in Wei Rui. One day, the bear thief attacked Songjiang. The official army went to fight and defeated the vanguard. The bandits rode back and forth, and the enemy defeated the enemy. The official army bullied the bears and thieves rode on the bamboo bed, and they were slow to chase them. The bell turned over and got out of bed, and the steps were like flying. One person left without time. The official army could not catch up. He rushed back to Baoshan County for a long time, and the thief defeated the cavalry. "From the Bandits Record" from the late Ming Dynasty notes "Records of the Bandits"

Taizu was defeated by a stone, and the ending was almost out of control. Taizong went to various places to fight in various places and was not in good condition. At that time, Xiong wanted to lead his troops to surrender to the Qing Dynasty. He secretly discussed in the tent, but all the generals could not decide. He said: "You will not be full of glory and wealth! If the Tartars win, then wealth and honor will be no matter how much. If the previous dynasty wins, you should use yourselves to conquer, and wealth will be the same as taking things back and looking at the pattern. If the official army abandons me, you can be in great order and you can also protect yourselves in this life..." The troops then surrendered to the Qing Dynasty.

This is what I said, "Zhaoshou Xiong practices it with his own hands, and the notes at that time recorded:

"On June 24th, the Qing army commander Ying entered Dezhou and burned and killed him. My uncle, Mou Yuan, and his soldiers talked about the great righteousness and were harmed by him. The Qing army was in charge of the early and slow-moving bear, and this name was unforgettable.

On July 11, a soldier and horses rose up in the morning to enter Lincheng under the banner of the Ming Dynasty. The soldiers and people cheered for the king's army and welcomed the king's general, but they still felt that they were so slow to bear...

On July 25th, the morning bear entered my Lincheng again, and became the third Sima of the front camp of the Shun Army..."

The Tartars were defeated in Xiangyang, so Xiaoshouxiong took the lead in promoting righteousness to join the king's army and was appointed as General Yi. He immediately said to his subordinates: "You used to be prostitutes, but now you are good!" Everyone said angrily: "I have been thieves for many years, but only become clients!"

When Emperor Shizuo was in power, Xiao Kuangxiong was imprisoned for crimes. The prisoner asked: "Did you ever promised Li Mi?"

The morning slow-win replied: "Don't talk to me, I will succeed and the king, and he will be defeated and the enemy will be defeated!"

He also asked: "Your sin is not enough to write a book on Nanshanzhu. I can write it on my own quickly, and I may ask for forgiveness!"

After pondering for a long time, he said, "Nothing else, I have stayed in a prostitute in a certain year, month and day..."

Such great figures cannot be finalized: the banned book "The History of the Ming Dynasty of Zhuang Family" directly called out: "The bandits were too slow to be too slow to Xiong Family..."

Taizong's record stated: "The Founding Father, Governor-General Annan Military General Yi, Ao Shou Xiong..."

The excellent novel "Ash Slow Bear" calls it "Ash Slow Bear": "The righteousness is poor, Mengchang is reborn, and is unparalleled in the world..."

There have been new changes in his evaluation of him since modern times. Chapter 3 of the history of peasant wars in the late Ming Dynasty stated: "The outstanding peasant uprising general, outstanding politician, military strategist, and one of the most outstanding leaders of the peasant uprising army..."

However, with the discovery of new historical materials, there are new evaluations: "Speculative elements led by Ao Slow Bear are swaying in the revolutionary ranks and are often shaken at critical moments... They must not be overly evaluated!"

Later, I simply stepped on him: "The book "Early Slow Bear" is a good thing that it writes surrender, promotes the surrenderist line, and can be used as a negative textbook to make the people know the surrenderists... The book "Early Slow Bear" just adapts to the needs of the feudal ruling class and promotes a surrenderist line... In order to promote the surrenderist line, it praises the surrenderists and a group of surrenderists, and strives to sell the corrupt ways of Confucius and Mencius, and promotes a complete set of surrenderist philosophy..." - Excerpted from the article "Commentary on "Early Slow Bear""

In recent years, the historical community has become a trend. Later generations have held academic seminars on the 400th anniversary of the birth of the early and slow bear. Therefore, there is a latest statement: "The scholars present fully affirmed the unanimous affirmation of the marquis. They believe that he can understand the overall situation, follow the trend, advance with the times, seize opportunities, protect himself, and retreat bravely. This is a historical figure who can control his own destiny at a turning point in history, and has made outstanding contributions to the establishment of the Dashun Dynasty and the cause of reunification of the motherland..."
