(V) The Treaty is indefinitely in effect. When the Treaty comes into force for 10 years, the General Assembly, whenever any State party requests, will consider whether underground nuclear explosions are allowed for peaceful purposes.

(VI) If a State Party determines that extraordinary events related to the subject of this Treaty have caused its highest interest to be compromised, it has the right to exercise its sovereignty to withdraw from the Treaty, etc.
