It’s not that there are no ideas that can bring inspiration, but after researching it, Zhao Gang has some understanding of the characteristics of the current history of New China’s thoughts. To put it better, the history of New China’s thoughts has several characteristics such as extremely fierce and complex ideological struggles, democracy and science gradually gaining deep into people’s hearts, and the waves of nationalism are surging; to put it worse, it is a mixture of mud and sand, and rivers are declining day by day.

"New Youth" just talked about building a complete society, and then cited it without hesitation. President Lincoln's outline of freedom, the wonderful thing is that some things are not clear about, so they directly replace them with the original English text. Half-district and half-overseas look very laborious. No matter how good such things look, they are not their own. If they transplant them, they have to take risks, so they are naturally not valued by Zhao Gang.

Then, another commentary article "On the Ideology of New China", which believes that there are currently three different ideological and cultural ideology and cultures in New China:

(1) "Imperialist culture", all cultures that contain slavery ideas, such as comprador culture, belong to this category;

(2"semi-feudal culture", all those who advocate respecting Confucius and reading scriptures, advocate old ethics, old ideas, and oppose new culture and new ideas belong to this category;

(3 "New Democratic Culture", that is, "New Culture". There is no doubt that this culture is highly praised by the author. Although there is no content, the title is too eye-catching. Zhao Gang searched for a long time and found only an introduction to the New Democratic Culture in a tabloid.

The article believes that "imperialist culture" is from foreign invaders. Therefore, it must be discarded. Semi-feudal culture is the dross brought by the old society. It must be discarded, but in this way, the author of the article did not explain what the ideas of the New China should become. Perhaps, this is the same as the monk's cutting off the worldly relationship. After all, there is nothing to do. He had to go to Nirvana.

"Imperialist culture and semi-feudal culture are two very intimate brothers. They form a cultural reactionary alliance and oppose China's new culture."

This report has a novel idea, but does not have much practical content, so it is used as a reference. The number of schools of thought in the living area has opened its eyes and felt at a loss. As the president, he is very supportive of news construction, and even when he negotiates with the United States, he accepted the participation of American journalists, so the journalism industry in New China is very prosperous.

Therefore, there are many groups of thinkers and schools of thought, and ideological debates are rising one after another. In the New China period, due to the formation and growth of the new intellectual group, especially when overseas students sent abroad were sent to China in the late Qing Dynasty, they returned to China one after another, becoming the backbone of the new intellectual group;

(2) The sharpness and complexity of class contradictions and national contradictions. All classes, classes, various political forces and groups have put forward various different opinions on the question of where China is going, and have launched fierce and complex struggles;

(III) The emergence of a multi-ideological and cultural pattern. Although the Beiyang government, especially the later Kuomintang government, implemented cultural autocracy policies, for various reasons, thinkers still had a certain amount of space for free to move, various ideas and concepts, advocated coexistence and debate with each other;

(IV) The development of the newspaper industry and the relative freedom of public opinion provide many reasons such as the combination of thinkers into groups with similar ideas and interests and freely expressing their thoughts and opinions. There are many thinkers and schools. Roughly statistics show that there are two or thirty groups of thinkers (such as the New Youth School, Modern Commentary School, Jiayin School, Xueheng School, Crescent School, Independent Commentary School, New Road School, Village School, Chinese Rural School, Warring States Policy School, New Observation School, etc.). Most of these groups use fan-founded publications as a combination link, and often form a group of thinkers. Due to the large number of thinkers and schools of thought, the debate on thought and culture has also risen one after another, such as the Confucian religion in the early years of the New China, the East-West and Culture in the May Fourth period, the dispute between vernacular and classical Chinese, the dispute between science and metaphysics, the dispute between "industrialization" and "agriculturalization", the dispute between problems and ideology, the dispute between old and new literature, the dispute between anarchism, the debate between night watchmen's theory, the debate on the nature of Chinese society, the debate on the dialectics of materialism, the dispute between democracy and dictatorship, the dispute between "building a country with agriculture" and "building a country with industry", the dispute between "China's nature" and "total westernization", the debate between idealism and materialism, etc.

It can be said that the New China period was the most debated period in Chinese history. These debates are of great significance to promoting the development and transformation of New China's thoughts. However, with so many thoughts, there is not much way to govern the country. Zhao Gang tried his best and finally took out some celebrities after taking out the sand.

"Zhang Taiyan, a master of Confucianism", "Gu Hongming, a master of Chinese studies", and "Cai Yuanpei, a great education thinker". According to his important position, the more such a person is, the less he says, and all the four people are not in a newspaper page.

However, among the more active people, there are some opinions about it: Zheng Guanying, Shanghai, and Chen Baozhen, Hunan. Yu Zi is not worth caring about it.

Zheng Guanying (18421922),]:. He from Luofuheshan. He from Xiangshan, Guangdong (now Zhongshan). He failed the exam for scholarship in the fourth year of Xianfeng (1854), and went to Shanghai to study business. He successively worked as compradors in Baoshun Foreign Company and the ship company of the Pacific Foreign Company. In the sixth year of Tongzhi (1867), Zheng began to operate shipping and business alone and succeeded. Later, he successively donated official ranks such as the staff, the alternate doctor, and the alternate Taoist.

In the fourth year of Xu (1878), he met Li Hongzhang and helped the Westernization Affairs Office. He was assigned to organize the Shanghai Weaving and Layout in the capacity of the business unit. He served as the General Office of the Steel and Ship Reception Office. During the Sino-French War, he was invited by Peng Yulin, Minister of Defense of Eastern Guangdong to go to the front line of the anti-French. In 1896, Sheng Xuanhuai took over the Hanyang Iron Factory in Hubei and appointed Zheng Wei to the General Office. After the founding of New China, he lived in Shanghai and became a famous figure in the business world. He advocated the economic policy of focusing on China and strictly prohibiting foreign investment.

His main works include "Revealing the Issue of the Times", "Everything", "The Dangerous Words of the Prosperous Times", "The Later Edition of Dangerous Words of the Prosperous Times", "The Poems and Grass of Luofu Heshan People", etc.

Chen Baozhen's pioneer of the reformist school. His courtesy name was You, from Yining, Jiangxi Province (now Xiushui). He was a juren in 1851. In 1862, he went to Anqing to meet Zeng Guofan and was known as the governor. After the founding of New China, he was unemployed and opened a current affairs school, established mining, ships, telegraphs and manufacturing companies, and published the Journal of Hunan Scholar. He advocated the overall westernization of China's construction and was a representative figure of westernization.

These two people attacked each other's views in their newspapers, and often for several months, they were constantly heard. Both sides were well-educated, and they repeatedly questioned each other, which really made people excited.
