Chapter 85 Remarks on the launch
I have been writing a book for many years, and this is the first time it has been published on the shelves, and I almost made a mistake.
I thought it was 12 noon tomorrow, but I made a mistake and opened VIP after midnight. It was really embarrassing.
The book "" has done well among new books in the same period and has been ranked first in the list for a long time. This is all due to everyone's support. I would like to thank you.
The protagonist of this book comes from a low background, and is probably rare among the people who traveled through time in the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties.
I once considered whether to have a gentry status, but then I thought about it.
As mentioned in my book, the gentry is a group with political privileges, accounting for only about 1% of the population.
Gentlemen in a broad sense include aristocratic families, ordinary gentry and poor families.
Don't look down on the poor, they are a politically privileged group.
Even though some poor families are very poor, there are no institutional or legal obstacles for them to become officials. In this regard, they are even more powerful than the powerful in places with many tribes.
I have read some online articles about the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties, and the protagonists are basically the sons of aristocratic families, at least from a branch of a wealthy family or from a poor family.
I wanted to write something different, and I wanted to write about a protagonist who represents the 99% of the population.
During the Wei and Jin Dynasties, between the romance and hardships of survival, which one can represent the actual society at that time? Everyone has their own opinions and preferences, so I won’t go into details.
In short, the protagonist of this book has a very low starting point, and his only expertise is martial arts and military strategy.
The Rebellion of the Eight Kings is a special time point. Twenty years earlier, the chances of the bottom class were not great, and a few decades later, the chances would not be great either.
Just such a time window.
This is also the main reason why I originally planned to write about the Houyan period, but later moved the starting point significantly forward. Otherwise, it would be really difficult to get ahead because the time window has passed.
The book has now written 260,000 words, and everyone must have noticed that the scenes have not yet been unfolded and the new maps have not yet been unlocked.
For now, the protagonist is just hanging out in Luoyang, a city that is least like the Jin Dynasty, with limited contact, and has not yet truly participated in the turbulent cause of hegemony. He has also not really come into contact with more social classes and has not truly understood this country. His
Life is very monotonous, there is nothing but conspiracy, killing and women.
Later, we will slowly unfold various aspects such as territory management, alliances, military wars, political reforms, social trends of thought, etc.
Old readers who are familiar with me know that I don’t have an outline when writing articles.
In the past, when I submitted a manuscript from Qidian, I had to write an outline in it, but now I don’t need to, so I didn’t even bother to write a fake outline. Everything was deduced on the fly, and I only had a general direction in my mind.
In other words, the character in the book has a certain degree of autonomy. He is not completely controlled by the author. Everything must be logical and reasonable.
The greatest power as an author is to choose one for the protagonist when there are several forks in the road, that's all.
I won’t say much more, thank you all for your support.
As soon as midnight passes, I will post five chapters first as a tribute.
When I get up during the day tomorrow, there should be more chapters. It depends on my coding speed. Anyway, I have a day off tomorrow.
Finally, I hope everyone will subscribe enthusiastically.
Especially the first subscription (the first VIP chapter, Chapter 84). Also, don’t forget to vote monthly, thank you.
Chapter completed!
