Chapter 40 Bonds and Books
Duqi shouted several times, but the people inside just didn't want to come out by themselves.
"It seems that our friends are a group of deaf people, now, let's wake them up."
As he said that, a group of people took out their pistols and burst into waves of metal knocks on the door of the private luxury car.
"We won't go out. The police will arrive soon. You'd better run away quickly, otherwise you won't be able to escape." The people inside thought that Duqi and the others had no other means to break the ball, and they were still very safe, so they simply threatened Duqi.
As a last resort, Dudge asked Bill to hand Arthur and Charles a few explosives, "Now, Mr. Williamson, hand the explosives to Mr. Smith and Mr. Morgan." Then he said to the two: "You go and blow the door open and let our friends see if we can get in."
Arthur and Charles walked to the iron door that could not be opened with explosive tubes. They stuck the explosive to the door, lit it with matches, and quickly left the iron door.
"Back, everyone retreat a little unless someone wants to be bombed to death!" Bill said instructing and stepped a little further.
With a "boom", the iron gate was blown open by explosives. When the others saw that the iron gate was blown open, they gathered the guns in their hands. After the people inside came out, they were pointed at by a group of people with guns.
"Listen, guys, we don't want to kill you, we just want to rob your boss." Dutch finished shouting to the guards who walked out, and said to the others, "Now, go and search for the things in the carriage and see what's inside."
Mika took the lead, and then she also wore a headscarf and wrapped her whole body tightly.
"Oh my God, look at this place, it's like a palace." Lanni had never seen such a luxurious scene before, and sighed in disbelief.
Arthur had never seen such a scene: "Oh my God, I have seen everything from now on."
Although he sighed, Arthur still did not forget his work: "You two, deal with the safe and see what's inside. I'll go inside and take a look."
"Of course there is no problem." Mika agreed immediately. In his opinion, the safe must be the best. If you take these things away, you will make a lot of money.
When Micah was opening the safe, Lenny looked at the luxurious layout in the car.
"Hey, boy, don't do anything else there, please pour me a glass of brandy, right on the table over there." Micah made a "very" constructive statement.
"Shut up, Arthur and I handled everything." Lenny did not meet Mica's request, but instead angrily said to him.
"Yes, this kid is doing a good job. I didn't see you jumping on the train desperately." Arthur also said to Mica.
"Yes, I admit this, he really tried his best." Mika nodded while trying to open the safe. He really recognized this boy who worked hard.
"Shete, there is only some paper here." Micah went through a lot of hardships to open the safe, but found that it was just some "worthless" paper inside, and she was instantly disappointed.
"Bond?" Arthur asked after hearing them find some paper.
"No, it doesn't look like it." Mica's cultural level is not enough to make him recognize that these things are actually various acquisition contracts signed by Cornwall and other companies.
"Everyone knows that you can read. Look, are there anything we can use here?" Mika himself couldn't read, but he knew that Lenny next to him was literate, so he simply showed it to Lenny.
"Railway company contract... declaration form... similar to these things."
These things can be said to be useless for the robbers of the Vanderlinder Gang, but they can be converted into something that is more valuable than everything else when they are in the hands of capable people.
So Mica simply threw these "useless" papers back into the safe.
Arthur came all the way to the innermost part of the car, and found a stack of unnamed bonds under a bookshelf, and there were some notebooks and other things under the bonds.
Arthur was not interested in these things, but remembered that Wang Xuance had told him before that if he found a bond, he could take some other things that were brought with him with the bonds and he would give him some appropriate rewards.
So I put them in my bag
"I found it." Arthur shouted.
"Very good." Mica was also very happy. After getting these things, the train robbery could be said to be a successful end.
When I passed by the safe, I even took away the railway contracts and other things that I threw back to the safe.
Walking out of the iron gate, Dutch couldn't wait to ask Arthur: "What have you found?"
Arthur took out some documents he had found before: "The top are those bearer bonds, and the bottom is some other things, and Mr. Jason said that if it works, he would pay us at his discretion."
"Is that so good?" Dutch picked up the bond and looked at it, put it in his bag, and returned the other things to Arthur. "Then you hand over those things to Jason in a while to see how much money we can bring back."
After the handover, Dutch increased his voice and asked Arthur: "Where is Colm waiting for us?"
The sound was not loud, but it happened to be heard by the three people squatting beside him.
Arthur also reacted and replied: "Just on the side of the Drooping Dog Ranch, let's go back quickly."
As he said that, he pretended that his sleeves were slipping off his wrist, revealing his white skin.
"OK, these people are handed over to you, no matter whether they are killed or not, they will be up to you." Dutch instructed and quickly left the place with the people, "Then let the train leave here, the farther the better."
This chapter is not over, please click on the next page to continue reading! Looking at the three people squatting on the ground, Arthur thought about it, but still had no intention of killing them: "Now, all of them are on the train, all of them, go up immediately, hurry up."
"If you dare to have other ideas, I don't mind sending you on the way." Arthur threatened: "Hurry up, speed."
Seeing that Arthur had no idea to kill them, several people quickly got on the train car, "We can't say anything, we swear."
"That would be the best."
But as soon as they entered, they saw that countless materials had disappeared. They knew in their hearts that their escort mission was completely over.
If you just lose some bonds, it doesn't matter. Cornwall is not short of these thousands of dollars, but other contracts and even some statements are the lifeblood of Cornwall.
Seeing them walking into the car, Arthur also walked to the front of the car, started the train, and let it run forward by itself, and wherever it goes, it should be counted.
After Arthur started the train, he called his horse with a whistle, jumped off the train, rode on his horse and left.
When he left, he saw the three surviving guards trembling in the carriage. They probably didn't expect that they could survive from these extremely vicious criminals.
By the time Arthur returned to Porch Village, it was already dawn. When Dutch and the others came back, they had asked Aunt Susan to arrange for someone to pack their luggage.
After Arthur came back, they had almost finished packing.
I have to say that Aunt Susan is really a good logistician, and the entire gang is managed in an orderly manner by her.
Seeing Dutch and Hosea leaning against a carriage, Arthur greeted: "So, are we leaving this haunted place now?"
Dutch signaled to Hosea: "Yes, we want to try it, the weather looks very stable."
Hosea wanted to continue hiding here, or because of concern, he needed to continue hiding: "We just robbed a Cornwall train, and now we are going to transfer on a large scale. I feel this is very dangerous."
Dutch, who was originally planning to leave, heard Hosea's words and turned around and looked serious: "We are rich now, and the most troublesome time has passed. The most important thing is, where are we going now?"
Hearing Dutch's words, Hosea did not want to continue arguing with Dutch, but said, "I am very familiar with this area. I said, we should camp at the horseshoe watchtower near Valentine. As long as we don't cause trouble, it is the ideal place to be there."
Dutch is just looking for a better place to camp now, and it doesn't matter where it is.
"OK, then let's go, as long as you don't cause trouble." After that, he looked at Hosea and Arthur again, and pointed to the carriage at the end: "Arthur, Hosea, go there, I know you like to talk about what old Darch is wrong, and it's convenient for you to reminisce about the past."
Seeing that they finished speaking, Wang Xuance led the horse to the back of the convoy and walked in parallel with Arthur and the others' carriage.
"Arthur, did you get what I want?" Throwing Arthur a cigarette and lit one himself.
Arthur took out the things he had obtained from the Cornwall train from his bag and handed them to Wang Xuance: "Of course, look, how much are these things worth?"
After looking through various contracts and reports, he then looked through the red cover book that Arthur gave him, which contained Cornwall's recent account book.
"Actually, I'm not sure. I need to find professionals to identify these things." Although Wang Xuance felt that these things were worth at least 10,000 US dollars, they had not been identified, so he was really not sure about their value.
"But according to your hard work, I will give you no less than a thousand dollars." Wang Xuance gave Arthur a minimum number.
Although it is the lowest number, it also exceeds Arthur's estimate.
"Are you sure? One thousand dollars?"
"Of course, you have to know that these things can create more value for me." Wang Xuance waved the various documents in his hand.
Riding on horseback and Arthur's carriage, the two of them slowly walked down the snow-capped mountains while chatting.
