Chapter 8 Promising One

No one is outside the door.
A narrow passage leads to a set of stairs.
As soon as Liu Taozi's feet stepped into the passage, a cough could be heard from the side.
A thin, dry, dark old man sat in the small room on the left, staring at Liu Taozi through the square window.
The old man didn't have much meat on his body and was very skinny.
"Excuse me?"
The old man spoke slowly.
"Nothing wrong."
The old man shook his head and said, "That's not allowed inside."
"I'm here to go through the process. I'll come out and show it to you when I'm done."
The old man was stunned for a moment. He took out the paper and pen from the side and handed it to Taozi, "Last name, first name, errand, address."
Liu Taozi wrote it skillfully and handed it to the old man. The old man was stunned for a moment. Looking at the slightly rough handwriting, he nodded and gave it a pass.
"Enter the door and turn left, it's the first room."
"Thank you."
The passages in the county government office are very narrow and extend in all directions. No one can be seen in each passage. It is quiet, but from time to time, coughs can be heard coming from the entrance.
Liu Taozi turned left after passing the first door and walked into the first room.
The room was extremely shabby, not much better than Taozi's house. There was only one desk and some books randomly placed on both sides, making it very messy.
Before the case, a young man put his fist on his face, looked depressed, and dozed off with his eyes squinted.
Hearing the footsteps, the young man suddenly woke up and hurriedly stood up, ready to salute.
When he saw clearly who was coming, the young man looked surprised.
"Who are you?"
Liu Taozi looked at this young man. He was not as tall as Taozi, but he had good looks.
I saw that his skin was white and his appearance was clean. There was no stain on his body. Even the clothes on his body exuded a faint fragrance. His eyes were dark, big and bright.
Just by looking at his appearance, you can tell that he is not the same kind as Tao Zi, a mud-legged guy who rolls in the mud.
"I'm here to go to court."
"Ah, yes, you are here to do it."
The young man was suddenly in a hurry and started rummaging through the case.
After searching for a moment, he stopped again and sweat began to form on his forehead.
"There are not many people in the county office today. There is a big event outside the city. Everyone has gone out. I am here. Are you here to go to the office? Right?"
"pass through"
He looked around, at a loss.
Liu Taozi looked at him directly, making the young man feel very uncomfortable, "Just wait, I'll be right back."
He trotted away from Liu Taozi, who was standing here alone.
The man ran all the way to the entrance.
After a while, the young man returned here very confidently.
He took out a brand new wooden sign from under the case, "Name?"
"Liu Taozi."
"Is there any words?"
"No words."
"Okay, Taozi. What a good name! Give me a peach and give me a plum in return!"
"Is your mother's surname Li?"
The young man raised his head and saw Liu Taozi with an indifferent face. He quickly smiled and said: "It's rude, don't blame me, don't blame me."
"Where are you from?"
"Zhangcun."
"Well, Zhangcun. What a wonderful place. I went there once when I first came here. I remember that there was a large peach forest there, which was like a paradise in the world. It made people linger and forget to leave. It was quite like the scenery written by Tao Gong, and I was intoxicated."
The young man spoke, stood up and left again.
Liu Taozi pursed her lips and waited for a while before the man finally came back.
He held a piece of yellowed bamboo slip in his hand and said, "Ha, I found it, Zhangcun Liu Da, Orion, his wife Zhang, Zi Taozi"
He followed the description on the bamboo slip and looked up and down at Liu Taozi in front of him.
"No problem, Brother Taozi, we can go through the process."
The young man buried his head in writing.
"Brother Taozi, are you here to sell mountain products this time? I was fond of hunting when I was a child. When I was in office in the past, I followed the knights to fight a big tiger. The big tiger was very ferocious."
Even when this man was working, his mouth never stopped.
After finishing, for some reason, he seemed more excited than Liu Taozi, and he handed the papers to Liu Taozi solemnly.
"It's done. Brother Tao Zi, I have two copies of the pass you want. One of them is with me. This thing cannot be lent to others. It must be used by yourself. If you want to take people in and out, you have to hang it in this pass.
"
"If something goes wrong due to something wrong, both you and your followers will be held accountable for your fault. If it is lost, it is also a serious crime and you must report it as soon as possible."
"You've never done this before, so I'm afraid you don't know these things. Have you taken the money and asked for it?"
“The West Market side is more suitable”
Liu Taozi picked up the check box, turned around and left.
The young man stretched out his hand and wanted to say something, but Liu Taozi quickly disappeared.
Hou Changshang sighed and sat down again, looking even more bitter.
Taozi, who walked out of the county government office, also breathed a sigh of relief.
When the three old farmers saw Liu Taozi coming out, they were trembling with excitement.
"Brother Tao, are you okay?"
"I'm just going in to make a pass, so it's okay."
"Then us"
"I'll take you out of the city."
A group of people were walking on the road. For some reason, the three people who seemed to have lost their souls just now were regaining their vitality.
Following Liu Taozi, they chattered non-stop, talking all the way.
"Brother Tao has a lot of potential. I've known since I was little that this kid has a lot of potential. He can pee far away!"
"That's how good his peach orchard is!"
"Liu Da is the one who has killed big tigers"
Several people followed him all the way to the city gate while talking nonsense flattery.
Standing at the gate of the city, Liu Taozi warned seriously: "After leaving the city, go straight to the village. Don't take the paths near the Zhang River, as you will lose everything."
"When I get home, I will tell my mother that I have successfully enrolled in school."
"well."
Several people nodded, and Liu Taozi checked the place where the soldiers were guarding the city and informed them of the situation. After the man carefully recorded the place where they had gone and the identities of the three people, he asked the soldiers to get out of the way.
Liu Taozi stood there, watching the three people walking awkwardly out of the city gate with strange steps.
They wanted to run, but they didn't dare to run, they wanted to turn around, but they didn't dare to look back. No matter their hands, feet, head or body, they were completely uncoordinated, and suddenly they forgot to walk.
It wasn't until the three figures gradually disappeared that Taozi turned around and left.
The sun is shining brightly.
A man was sitting on a bed, with a tall desk in front of him, sitting at the door of a large mansion.
There was a person standing next to him, bending his body and waving the fan in his hand with a smile on his face.
The man opened his collar and couldn't help cursing the weather.
At this moment, a shadow suddenly blocked the dazzling light.
The man opened his eyes and saw a tall, rough young man standing in front of him, looking down at him with his head lowered.
The man was so startled that the dog legs beside him forgot to wave their fans.
Liu Taozi said: "maγtalrgn."
The man quickly tidied up his collar, with a kind smile on his face, and stammered: "r"
He sorted out the words in his mind, "dug"
"I'm here to register for the exam."
The man was stunned, looked at Liu Taozi again, and asked uncertainly: "Han?"
"Han people."
The man suddenly breathed a sigh of relief, and his expression immediately turned fierce.
"You should have told me earlier! I was shocked! What kind of Xianbei talk do the Han people have!"
He tore off his sleeves again, leaned back, with deep disdain on his face, pointed at Liu Taozi and scolded:
"Look at your outfit, you still look like the disheveled son of my Han family!"
The bastard on the side also cursed: "I'm shocked, what the hell! A man from the Han family is imitating a barbarian!"
Upon hearing this, the owner glared at him, "You bastard! Do you want to die?"
Realizing the slip of the tongue, the dog-legged man quickly lowered his head and silenced his voice.
The man raised his head and looked at Liu Taozi lazily.
"To take the exam, you must first study law in the county for forty days, and then participate."
"I know."
"Six hundred dollars."
Liu Taozi said word for word: "I have been to the county government office. Your Majesty has a gift, and it costs three hundred coins."
"Then you go to the county government to study!"
Before the man could speak, the dogleg beside him barked again.
Liu Taozi nodded, "Okay, I'll go to the county government office and ask."
"Forget it, three hundred is just three hundred."
The man waved his hand and asked Gouji to take out the bamboo slips and throw them to Liu Taozi, "Name and address must be the same as before."
Liu Taozi filled out these and put the money aside. The man stamped his seal on the bamboo slip and handed it to Taozi.
Taozi took the bamboo slips and was about to go to the county school.
"Where are you going?"
The dog's legs quickly stood in front of him.
He waved his hand as if to ward off flies, "Your name has not been notified to the county school yet. Come back tomorrow, come back tomorrow!"
"Just bring the bamboo slips over tomorrow!"
Liu Taozi looked at them deeply, turned and left.
Even after he left, the two men remained angry and continued to curse:
"What kind of country savage deserves to have the same surname as Liu?"
Walking on an empty road, there are very few passersby.
The skinny passerby stared blankly into the distance, moving his body bit by bit, not to be disturbed by the scenery along the road.
Liu Taozi had no other place to go, so——
"Bang, bang, bang~~"
The door of the restaurant shook up the dust again.
The master poked his head out from the crack in the door, his teeth gnashing, and his words were trembling.
"What do you want?"
Taozi responded with a polite expression.
"Borrowing for the night is a fault."
Liu Taozi sat in front of the table. There were all kinds of food in front of him. The host sat aside politely.
"Look, we didn't have any hatred in the past. Why do you, a hero like you, insist on making things difficult for an old man like me?"
"If you want to stay overnight, I know a good place. Just four hundred steps further from here, there is a restaurant. Their land is larger than ours, the food is good, and they have money."
"You see, it's enough for you to have a full meal over here."
Liu Taozi shook her head and rejected the other party's kindness.
"If I don't go into the house, I'll just rest in the courtyard."
"If some rogue robber breaks in and you don't have enough people in the house, I can still help you deal with it."
The shopkeeper's lips trembled for a long time.
"Oh"
"A bunch of crazy people."
ps: The new book has a new style. At present, it may be a bit difficult to understand, depressing, fragmented, and has many shortcomings.
But this is really what I want to write. Maybe this is what I understand about the late Northern Dynasties, weird, absurd, fragmented, and inexplicable. But I really hope you can give it a chance. I will explain it to you one by one, trivial and fragmented.
Many of the plots will slowly merge together, and all the depression will burst out in anger. This is the first time I write a story about the common people at the bottom. I hope it will live up to the original intention and the readers who like it.
