615 [Unrepentant]

The Qufu Kong family's handling of the fame and fortune was very simple after depriving twenty-one Beijing officials, and no one dared to stand up and oppose it.

The little prince Zhu Zaifeng issued two imperial edicts in succession.

The content of the first imperial edict is:

Exchange good books and follow the vx official account. [Book Friends Base Camp]. Follow now and you can receive cash red envelopes!

Confucius was given the title of "The Greatest Saint Wenxuan King" and changed it to "The Greatest Saint and the First Teacher". The "Dacheng Hall" was changed to "The Greatest Teacher Temple" (Confucian Temple), and the "Dacheng Gate" was changed to "Museum Gate".

In the Confucius Temple, the people who worshipped incense were reduced to four people, namely: the sage Yan Zi, the sage Zeng Zi, the sage Sheng Zi Si, and the sage Mencius.

The disciples below the ten philosophers of the Confucian school are all called "the sons of the ancestors"; the disciples below the Zuoqiu Ming are all called "the sons of the ancestors of the ancestors". All of the above people have taken away the titles of Gong, Hou and Bo.

In accordance with the regulations of Taizu Zhu Yuanzhang, worshiping Confucius and his disciples, they can only worship the lord of the gods. The size of the tablet is customized by Taizu, and only wooden tablets can be used, not other high-end materials.

According to the regulations of Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang, the sacrifices to Confucius and his disciples were only allowed to celebrate the spring and autumn festivals every year. The Confucius Temple in Qufu, the Imperial College in Beijing, and the Imperial College in Nanjing, used ten beans to sacrifice to Confucius, and eight beans are used in Confucius temples across the country, and only six beans can be used in music and dance. (Note: Both the names of musical instruments, and the Liuke is the dance scale of the duke level.)

In addition to the Spring and Autumn Festival, those who do not obtain approval from the court and increase the number of Confucius' sacrifices, or those who sacrifice to Confucius beyond the regulations, will be dismissed from their fame and fortune, and will be dismissed from office.

The second imperial decree is:

The title of "Yanshenggong" by Kong Wenshao was revoked and the qualification of the emperor of Kong Wenshao to sacrifice to Confucius was dismissed. After his son became an adult, he could inherit the "Yanshenggong". His younger brother Kong Wenli temporarily took charge of the position of worshiping Confucius and returned it to the next "Yanshenggong" in the future.

Reclaimed several sacrifice fields of the Kong family in Qufu, and the quota will be set to 1,000 hectares in the future. (That is, the land that the Kong family does not have to pay taxes is only 300,000 mu. All the rest will be taken back, and the emperor will not be allowed to reward them again in the future.)

The Kong family was fined and confiscated 1 million mu of private land, and the tax arrears were accrued over the years.

The children of the Kong family, as well as servants, tenants, and workers under their names, must pay capita tax, miscellaneous taxes and corvee service in the future.

If a child of the Kong family commits a crime, he shall be convicted by the law.

...

Qufu, Shandong.

The Kong family was wailing.

Kong Wenshao, who had lost his identity as "Yan Shenggong", was already full of tears and bent his chest and shouted: "Your Majesty is so merciless, and he is not willing to be here for the saints!"

Kong Wenli looked resentful, but she held back and didn't say anything.

Kong Wenshao walked around the house and suddenly said, "I want to go to Beijing. I want to explain to Your Majesty in person. You can't let Your Majesty be deceived by that traitor!"

Kong Wenli finally couldn't help it: "Brother, do you still want the court to punish the Kong family enough? Wang Er is in power and has eliminated more than 20 Beijing officials at one time. Who dares to speak for our Kong family? If you go to the capital, you may not even be able to see the emperor, but instead attracts Wang Er's revenge!"

"I can't swallow this!" Kong Wenshao was extremely depressed.

Kong Wenli said: "The sacrificial fields and private fields that were taken away must not be recovered, and the statue of Confucius's sage cannot be erected again. However, the statue of the Lord of God cannot be changed, so the title of King Wenxuan is still used, so there is no need for the saint master!"

The four words "The Most Sage and the First Teacher" were deeply rooted in people's hearts in later generations, but at this time it was a new word, and was invented and created by Zhang Cong by drawing on Confucius's old title.

In the eyes of the Kong family, the "Supreme Master" is a destructive teacher. How could the "Great Successful Saint King of Wenxuan" sound majestic?

Anyway, after the Qingtian was completed, Zhang Cong had already left Qufu, so he was still afraid of wool. He still used the original kingship, and even if he was seen by local officials or scholars, no one would complain. Even if someone complained, it would be said that the new account had not been made yet.

Therefore, the Imperial College in Nanjing and Beijing changed the Confucius tablets, and the Confucius Temple in Qufu also enshrines the "Dacheng Supreme Saint Wenxuan King" of the Yuan Dynasty.

Moreover, Kong Wenshao, because he was taken away from the title of "Yan Shenggong", his resentment was difficult to calm down, so he actually wrote a gossip story between Wang Yuan and the Empress Dowager. Fortunately, he had not committed suicide to the end, so he made it up and asked his confidant to copy it with his left hand, and then took it to Jining to spread it quietly. He really didn't have the courage to play like this in Qufu.

...

Shandong, Jinan.

"Congratulations to Mr. Gao Sheng!" Gui E smiled with a smile on her fists.

Zhang Cong bowed and said, "Happy together, happy together."

Although the Qingtian in Shandong has not been completely completed, King Lu, King De and the Kong family have done it, and the rest is just a step-by-step.

The court recovered 1.55 million mu of land granted (tax exemption) for these three families alone, confiscated 2 million mu of private land, and found more than 3 million mu of hidden land, far exceeding the cleanup results of Yang Tinghe in the capital before his retirement.

Gui E and Shi Dao have been the Shandong governor for less than half a year, so it is naturally impossible to be promoted again. However, the court also commended political achievements and promoted them to the honorary ranks. Many other Shandong officials also promoted them.

Only Zhang Cong, two memorials about Confucius, were sent out, and suddenly became famous all over the world. Everyone knew that he was the great master of Confucianism.

Wang Yuan recommended that he was promoted from an extraordinary standard, and was directly promoted from Shandong Censorship to the Minister of Works.

Zhang Cong packed his bags and was about to return to Beijing to take office. Shandong officials bid farewell to the outside of the city.

The inspector censor Zhan Rong hurried over and whispered to Zhang Cong: "I received a report from Confucian scholars in Qufu yesterday that the lord tablet of the Confucius Temple in Qufu was not replaced, and all of them were under the title of the Yuan Dynasty."

Zhang Cong sneered: "So brave!"

"What's the matter?" Gui E, Shi Dao, Nie Bao and others asked.

Several people avoided other officials in Shandong and discussed the matter quietly. Finally, they decided to ask the right governor Shi Dao to investigate.

Zhang Cong has stepped down as the Censor. Before the new Censor has arrived, the Censor's deputy Censor cannot suppress the Kong family, so at least one governor needs to take action.

Wang Yuan only presided over the Wenju once, namely the Shuntian Prefecture Provincial Examination in the eighth year of Zhengde. Shi Dao was the first in the provincial examination that year. After the exam, he also became a teacher. This relationship was too close. If Shi Dao had not been a little unlucky, he would at least be the Right Assistant Minister in terms of his talent.

Unlucky for this guy, the Jinshi, was split and taken twice.

Zhengde passed the ninth year of the imperial examination and was about to take the palace examination, but suddenly he received the news of his father's death. So he hurried home to attend the funeral, skipped the imperial examination three years later, and ran directly to participate in the palace examination.

After Zhang Cong left Jinan, Shi Dao did not immediately attack the Kong family.

He hired craftsmen to make tablets for Confucius and his disciples. He asked a left sect leader to take the officers to the Confucius Mansion in person, saying that it was carefully manufactured by the Ministry of Works, and asked the left sect leader to watch the Kong family change the tablets.

A few days later, a scholar named Yan ran to Jinan quickly: "Shi Weiyuan asked his clan brothers to worship the Confucius Temple. He found that the Confucius Saint and the God Lord had changed it to the previous tablet."

"I'm really not afraid of death!" Shi Dao immediately took the disciples and servants of Jishi Sect to Qufu in casual clothes, intending to kill the Kong family off guard.

The scholar surnamed Yan was a descendant of the resurrection of the sage Yan Hui and also enjoyed preferential treatment from the court.

However, the descendants of the Confucian scholars in Qufu were sent to the Kong family first, and then distributed to the Kong family. The Yan family of Qufu not only did not receive the help of the Kong family, but was suppressed when competing for land, and the Sui River was often not fully received every year.

Then look for an opportunity to take revenge and take the royal party's ship by the way.

In history, the Yan family in Qufu was much more conscientious than the Kong family. They had always been unknown before, and suddenly three Jinshis were produced in the late Ming Dynasty.

Among them, when Yan Yinshao was the prefect of Hejian, the Qing army broke through the city wall. He took his concubines and children and the family to die for the death of his family (he could not bear to kill his six-year-old son and let him escape on his own). His wife and eldest son stayed in Qufu, and the eldest son never served in the Qing Dynasty for life. He devoted himself to raising his widowed mother. In his later years, he failed to regain the Ming Dynasty with his old friends.

Unfortunately, he finally passed the imperial examination. Among Yan Yinshao's grandsons, three of them passed the imperial examination and became officials.

But at least, he did not surrender immediately, and he started taking the imperial examinations during the Kangxi period.

Back to the main topic, Shi Dao brought disciples and servants of Jishi Sect to Qufu the afternoon of the next day.

They arrived at the entrance of the Confucius Temple and suddenly rushed in. The children of the Kong family and the servants did not react. They rushed in far away. The children of the Kong family thought they had been thieves and shouted loudly: "Catch the thieves quickly, catch the thieves quickly!"

When the people in the Confucius Temple confiscated the guys and surrounded them, Shi Dao had already led his men into the main hall.

Sure enough, the tablets placed there were not "The Supreme Saint and the Great Saint" but "The Great Successful Saint King of Wenxuan"!

Shi Dao shook open the cotton cloth wrapped in a long sword, drew his sword out of the sheath and said, "Did the Kong family in Qufu intend to rebel?"
