Prologue on the eve

Located at the foot of Alaska Snow Mountain, the Oedi Temple is one of the nineteen great temples that worship the highest Creator God on the continent. The entire temple is built with ivory white marble. In front of the temple is 24 marble pillars embracing two people. The pillars are carved with praise for the Creator God and the gods who follow him. A statue of an angel stands on the top of the temple, and the wings behind it exudes a soft milky magical brilliance, covering the entire temple.

Cardinal Bren slowly closed the "Sacred Prayer" in front of him and ended the evening prayer. The saints in the white-clothed choir quietly retreated, but the high and solemn hymn seemed to still echo in the air. Staring at the flames on the altar, Bren felt annoyance and palpitations in his heart for no reason.

The fifty-five-year-old Bren was not young among the twenty-three cardinals of the Holy Church. His attainments in light magic power were also inferior, but he was particularly favored by the pope and was granted the Oedi Temple. As the most influential religion on this continent, the Holy Church has tens of millions of believers. The Pope's authority is recognized by the major empires, and even canonize the kings of some small countries. The Oedi Temple took sixteen years to build. On the day of completion, thousands of horns sounded in the sky, and the petals fell like rain, and the white holy light fell from the sky. An angel with wings on his back appeared and appeared in the holy light, blessing the divine art "angel blessing" to the temple. Since then, the Oedi Temple has always been shrouded under the holy light, and has become the only temple in the nineteen temples where the gods showed miracles when they were built.

Bren was thinking about his uneasiness. Fifteen miles away from the temple is located in the second largest merchant port on the mainland, Pus Port. Pus Port devotes five percent of its taxes to the Holy Church every year, and Bren can control one-third of this huge wealth. "It's almost time for worship again, and this year there should be two million gold coins. Lord Firn's fat pig is not caring about deceiving the Lord's wealth."

On this night, Bren had no intention of sleeping. "Is it the curse of the necromancer?" Six months ago, Cardinal Bren led 300 Templar Knights and 20 great priests to penetrate into the Alaska Mountains and wiped out a necromancer and his undead legion hidden there. The mage was not yet in a climate, and the undead creatures did not even exceed 3,000 skeletons. This extermination was better than a travel. Bren cast the level 6 divine art "Sacred Purification" with his own hands, watching the undead mage burning in the holy light and disappear. The curse of the mage before his death was not yet attentive to Bren, and was dispelled by the priests around him before they even took effect.

When Modius had passed through mid-air, Bren finally confirmed the trouble in his heart. Yes, it was the Saint Vina who came to the temple today. His sculpture-like face, tall little nose, and knife-carved lips revealed a sacred breath everywhere. "That's an angel." Bren said to himself. Saint Vina grew up next to the Pope, and no one knew where she came from. It was the first time she stepped out of the Great Temple of Light in the past seventeen years. In her every move, the curve that appeared faintly under her white clothes seemed to be in front of Bren's eyes again. Bren felt that he was dry in his mouth, but there was no water beside him. He cursed softly, stood up, and walked out of the temple.

Under Wina's snow-like neck, the sacred white robe could not cover up the slightest fluctuations that could be faintly revealed in the subtle movements. The fluctuations seemed to be expanding in Bren's eyes and burning his nerves. For the first time, Bren even wanted to be a thief, that would be possible... Bren smiled bitterly. No thief could do anything to the level 16 Mage of Light. He had been in the church for more than 40 years and was only a level 13 Mage of Light, and God was still partial.

He looked up at the moon, but found a blood-red red color in the moonlight tonight. Bren was a little surprised. Before he could come back to his senses, his eyes darkened, and the holy light that was everywhere in the temple suddenly disappeared. Darkness was definitely one of Bren's most disgusting things. He suppressed his panic and, with his low singing, he scratched complex symbols with his fingers, preparing the level 3 divine art "Holy Light Technique". In addition to expelling evil, this spell can also temporarily act as a lighting technique. Silently, a black hand with countless symbols on it, to be precise, a hand bone, touched Bren's throat from behind. With the gentle stroke of his index finger, Bren's Holy Light Technique no longer has the chance to cast it.

A full armored warrior stood beside Bren's corpse. The dark black full body armor was burning with black flames. Only from the bones of the sword could it be seen that it was a skeleton. With a silent cry from the armor, countless skeleton warriors walked out of the darkness and swarmed towards the temple. Sometimes, an undead knight riding a flame bone horse rushed out of the darkness and disappeared into the camp of the temple knights on both sides of the church.

"What is this!! Guards! Get up quickly!" With a commotion, the Knights of the Temple of the Temple woke up. There were 400 knights in the Oedi Temple. The knights who were trained quickly put on simple armor and divided some of them to fight to death at the entrance of the camp to block the endless skeleton soldiers. Others quickly began to arm themselves. Occasionally, some priests had already begun to cast spells.

Under the dim holy light in the temple hall, there was no fluctuation on the face of Vina Ice Sculpture, and he stared coldly at the undead mage in front of him. The undead mage was wearing a black robe, which was nothing surprising, even though the symbols and magic circles with faint magic light were densely packed on it, which showed that this was not an ordinary robe. What was strange was that this robe was neat and brand new. Pale flames were burning in the eyes of the undead mage.

"My name is Rodriguez." A voice sounded directly in Vina's heart. Slight beads of sweat appeared on Vina's ice sculpture's face. As far as she knew, with the magic power of her level 16 light mage, she was close to a demigod. The necromancer can break through her spirit and directly transmit a voice in her heart. Wouldn't it mean that her mental power is so powerful that it is almost controllable? Moreover, this name, the most powerful necromancer, Rodriguez, will be defiled by his evil even if she thinks about it. "Yes, and not only that." Rodriguez's voice sounded in Vina's heart again. The undead mage's eyes were full of flames, and a cold spiritual wave rushed into Vina's mind and exploded. Vina let out a muffled groan, and a trace of blood flowed out of the corner of her mouth.

"Let's take a look at the true identity of the Saint." One after another spiritual shock exploded directly in Vina's mind. Vina shook and struggled, surprised at Rodriguez's unparalleled power. "Why, such a powerful evil can escape the eyes of our Father in heaven?" With the arrival of another spiritual shock, a surging force burst out in the depths of Vina's soul. A sing of sacred chants praising God sounded again in the temple, and sacred lights rushed out from Vina's body, dispelling Rodriguez's spiritual shock. A pair of white wings with a trace of golden light shining in between slowly unfolded from behind Vina. Under the sacred power, Vina slowly floated into the air, and her eyes had completely turned silver.

"In the name of light and goodness, I will destroy the evil in front of me." Wina's voice was still pleasant at this moment, but without any human emotion. As her chanting, hundreds of holy light balls quickly condensed beside her. "Hehe" Rodriguez smiled lowly, "I thought you would be an ordinary angel, but I didn't expect that it was the middle light angel. It seems that the Supreme God did not bless you."
