Chapter 234: A hundred schools of thought contend

Qin's law also had detailed regulations on funerals, and no extravagance or waste time. Cry when it should be done, bury when it should be done, and go farm when it is buried, which shines and heats for Qin. Of course, Wu'an Jun is a prince, so he must not be buried in it after crying for a few times, but the main problem is that no one came to mourn him. Wu'an Jun's only son Bai Zhong was unwilling to come back even if he heard about his father's death.

If his unfilial behavior in the next few hundred years would make him lose his official position or even his life. Even in Qin, which governs the country according to the law, filial piety is very important. If the father sues the official and says that his son is unfilial, the government can help him execute his son. Fortunately, Wu'anjun would not jump up and sue his son, no one reported it, and Bai Zhong did not punch his father's body a few times, so he would naturally not be punished.

In the end, Ying Yiren seized this good opportunity and personally presided over the funeral of Wu'anjun, which made the young master Yiren gain the favor of many Qin people. No matter what the people of the other six countries think, the Qin people still respected their general very much. This hero. When he heard that Bai Qi was seriously ill, the people of Qin were very worried about him. People often blessed him and drove away ghosts. Ying Yiren served Wu'anjun and even mourned him, which made him respected.

Bai Qi may have seen the thoughts of the young master Yiren, so he did not let the young master leave? Perhaps the King of Qin also saw his thoughts, so he did not intervene. He just let Yiren do these things. News of Wu'anjun's death soon spread in Qin. Many of the officials of Qin got official positions through military merit system, and these people had followed Bai Qi to fight.

Qin State fell into an inexplicable sad atmosphere for a moment? Some Qin people even secretly built temples for Wu'anjun to worship him. Of course, this was illegal in Qin State and was quickly demolished. From the common people at the bottom to the palace? This sad mood completely enveloped Qin State. Even the King of Qin, his mood was very wrong in these days. He rarely drank, and he never got drunk. He was drunk on this day? He was talking about something.

Fan Ju also came to participate in Wu'anjun's funeral.

His relationship with Wu Anjun is very bad? Perhaps it is because Wu Anjun is the only minister in the palace who can change his decisions, or perhaps it is because Wu Anjun has no respect for him? Or maybe it is because of his fear of him. In short, no matter how bad the previous relationship was? On this day? This relationship has ended. Fan Ju stood in front of Wu Anjun's spiritual plane, but he did not have the joy he imagined.

He always wanted to kill Wu'anjun, but he didn't wait for this opportunity. The arrogant Wu'anjun had countless loopholes that could be exploited by him. However, as long as he could obey the orders of the King of Qin and continue to fight, the King of Qin could tolerate his arrogance and put aside his suspicion of him. At this moment, looking at the thin old man who had closed his eyes tightly, Fan Ju suddenly felt inexplicably uncomfortable.

His biggest opponent in Qin State left like this.

He bowed respectfully to Bai Qi.

Unlike in China, when the Six Kingdoms heard this news, they were ecstatic and ecstatic! Bai Qi was dead? That’s great!

Since Bai Qi became the commander of the Qin army, the Qin people have never lost. No matter who they fight, no matter how many people they fight... When Bai Qi killed batches of soldiers, when he captured cities and killed generals one after another, the princes would be scared to wake up in his dreams, and Bai Qi became their nightmare completely. The despair when facing Bai Qi was something that others could not understand.

I can't defeat it, there is no way to defeat it, there is no weakness, there is only a war machine to win in my mind, as if there is no human weakness, even when facing death, I am so calm, without fear, despair, and no guilt and regret. Even when I stop breathing, I can still tell that I am going to die, but I regret not being able to meet Zhao Kuo.

Zhao Kuo was the most able to experience that fear: Bai Qi, a guy who won forty years, has won more soldiers killed by him in recent years than the total population of Zhao State... Even if Zhao Kuo finally repelled Bai Qi, he was ready to die. If it weren't for Lian Po and Wei Wuji, if the soldiers of Zhao State had not fought their lives, they would have been defeated by Bai Qi's entire army...

Bai Qi didn't like to enjoy it. He received so many rewards, but he had never enjoyed these conveniences. He had never enjoyed the benefits of the title after the title was upgraded. He still ate rough food and often stayed in the military camp to practice. Others fought to improve their titles. He fought, but because he liked war, he enjoyed war.

When King Han learned about Bai Qi's death, he happily danced and even rewarded the ministers in the country. When King Wei learned about this, he couldn't believe it. He hurriedly sent someone to inquire about it and prepared the army to regain the city occupied by the Qin people not long ago. Only King Zhao was sad after hearing this news. He was very sad. Such an outstanding wise man died like this and could not meet me until he died.

The King of Chu's heart was particularly complicated. He wanted to celebrate this incident, but he felt that he had lost the opportunity to revenge. Bai Qi burned the King of Chu's ancestral tomb in one go. The King of Chu never dared to forget this revenge. Now Bai Qi is dead like this, but he never has the chance to revenge Bai Qi again.

Zhao Kuo was reading the classics of the Mohist school in the courtyard, probably because he had been inexplicably intimately intimate with the Mohist school because the Mohist school he knew in his previous life was a group of scientists who studied machinery, helped the weak and fought against the powerful, and had a different charm. However, when Zhao Kuo really began to understand the Mohist school, he was still shocked.

Mozi has a simple materialistic philosophical thought. His views are too amazing in terms of epistemology and logic. When he talks about his thoughts and views, he will use logic to perform dialectics, which makes Zhao Kuo even breathe even more. Mozi never speculates or talks randomly. All his views have a set of dialectics that can be self-affirmed.

There was a famous proposition in the past that the rabbit could not catch up with the turtle crawling in front of him, because the rabbit had to first reach the starting point of the turtle. When he reached that point, the turtle crawled forward for a while, but Mozi directly solved the proposition: He imagined that there was a line ab, which went from end a to end b, and then cut off the remaining cb was half of the total length. Then, as before, take half cb, and the remaining one quarter of the total length. In this way, you will definitely reach the front end b of the line.

Although Zhao Kuo couldn't understand this thing, it didn't stop him from being surprised.

Mo Zi said in the Mo Jing that "force is an accelerated movement of objects", and he could understand this... He also said: Space is a concept that is inseparable from time, and it only spreads in a straight line. Seeing philosophy, Zhao Kuo was shocked. What kind of monster is this? If Mo Zi was a scientist who pursued nature, this would be wrong again, because in terms of humanities, he has more important academic achievements.

He proposed three methods in logic, and even solved the proposition that white horses are not horses... Although famous scholars did not recognize this point. Zhao Kuo originally thought that the greatest contribution of the Mohist school came from the machinery they invented, but now he knows that these academic achievements are the greatest things about the Mohist school. Another point is that Mozian's remarks are all opposite to Confucianism. No matter what Confucianism says, Mozian will say the opposite sentence.

No wonder the Confucianism and Mohism were so stiff. Of course, when Mozi was still alive, it can be seen from the conversation between him and Confucians that Mozi was bullying children and through his own logic, he directly made the Confucians say nothing worthwhile. However, after Mozi passed away, the Mohism did not develop anything... However, Confucianism continues to develop and change, and sages emerge in many sages. Confucians like Xunzi can suppress the Mohism alone.

No matter how good theories are, what can we do without an ideal successor?

Just as Zhao Kuo was reading repeatedly, Di suddenly broke in. He smiled and shouted, "Ma Fujun! Bai Qi is dead! Bai Qi is dead!" When he opened his mouth, many guests inside and outside the courtyard were very surprised, and stood up one after another. Looking at Di, Zhao Kuo was stunned for a moment, then looked at Di. Di looked very happy. He sat down and said to Zhao Kuo, "Bai Qi is dead!"

"I heard that it was the King of Qin and Fan Ju who united and poisoned Bai Qi!"

"This is impossible!!" Someone shouted loudly, but the person who spoke was disciple Yang Duanhe. Yang Duanhe was asking Han Fei for advice. Suddenly, he heard the bad news brought by Di, his eyes turned red. Zhao Kuo glanced at him and put down the book in his hand. Di was still defending: "This is the case, the news I brought is not wrong!" As he said that, he looked at Zhao Kuo and said seriously: "I heard that Shangjun is going to take advantage of this opportunity to unite Wei and Chu to attack Qin again..."

Zhao Kuo had no words. Speaking of which, he really had no good feelings for Bai Qi. All Bai Qi brought him was fear and despair. Zhao Kuo still dared not forget the fear when facing him. When fighting him, you have no idea where he emerged from and when he would attack. It was elusive, but when Zhao Kuo heard the news of his death, he was not happy in his heart.

From the perspective of later generations, this murderous monster with blood dripping all over his body is also a proud famous general... Many years later, people will talk about his achievements and laugh and say: This is my ancestor! Such a brave man!

Zhao Kuo thought for a long time before shook his head and said, "I understand."

Di was stunned. He thought Zhao Kuo would be very happy. He knew that Ma Fujun was so hostile to the general of Qin. However, he didn't say much, shrugged and stood up, ready to tell more people the good news. Zhao Kuo continued to look at the bamboo slips in his hand, the classics of the hundreds of schools, which also brought him a lot of influence and even a lot of help. He stood up and walked towards the school room. The disciples hurriedly followed him.

"I heard that the doctrines of the Hundred Schools treat each other as their own enemies. When they meet, they want to draw out their swords to kill each other. But this is wrong. The Hundred Schools each has their own strengths and complement each other. The truth I am talking about is: the ideas of the Hundred Schools can be integrated, and they are not completely opposite, nor are they not related to each other. The truth I want to say can be so dialectical."

"The Mohist and Confucianism are all opposite. However, they both advocate benevolence and hope that the monarch can implement benevolent government. Although the love mentioned by the Mohist is to love the people of the world, and the love of Confucianism is to be viewed according to the level, they are consistent in their pursuit of benevolent government. In terms of view of peace, both sides hope to build a paradise without war. Confucianism requires that the knowledge learned should be beneficial to the country, while all the behaviors emphasized by Mozi should be useful to society... Are the two common grounds?

"Confucianism does not believe in ghosts and gods. Xunzi believes that human efforts can change the destiny of heaven. Does the Mohist school also view it this way?"

"Even these two completely opposite theories have common ground and can learn from each other... If the hundreds of schools can stop the useless debate and stop the unprovoked hostility, what I call useless debate is to convince each other and make the other party recognize their own doctrines to be more successful. This is a completely useless debate for academics. What I call unprovoked hostility is a malicious doctrine that belittles others and flatters others through fabrication and slandering."

"A useful debate is to discover one's own shortcomings in the debate and to learn and improve. This is the truth I discovered from Zouzi. In my opinion, no one in the world who is good at debate can surpass Zouzi, because Zouzi's debate is not to prove that he is better than others, but to prove whether he is correct, and to improve his own doctrine."

"The theory of the world, Shengxing, Confucius and Mozi's era, are now separated and hostile to each other. Apart from the figures of Xunzi, Gongsunzi, and Zouzi, there are no sages who can teach people through books. What is the reason? The sages I mentioned are now very old... Not improving one's own doctrine and facing one's own shortcomings will only make one's own doctrine disappear..."

"I have carefully read the Analects of Confucius and have a lot of feelings. I admire Confucius' character and admire the ideal society he mentioned very much. I highly recognize his benevolent politics, his strict requirements for himself, and his accomplishments in education. The real political issues he mentioned require both the ruler and the ruled to bear obligations. Theoretically, the ruled has the right to resist the ruler who does not normally bear obligations, which I also recognize very much."

"I don't recognize only the political system of the previous kings that he pursued. I think every era has a system that suits him..."

"If there are Confucian sages who come to discuss this with me, I will be very happy, because this is also an opportunity for me to improve my doctrine and correct myself."

"The next one is the Mohist school..."

Zhao Kuo carefully found out all the current theories, what he had come into contact with and what he had never come into contact with, and carefully explained his views on this school to the students, and what he did not agree with, Zhao Kuo said in detail, without deliberately belittled or deliberately flattering them. Even the declining novelists and elementary school schools like the Shijia said.

He also said in detail about various schools, from the various branches of Confucianism and Mohism to the theories of Shen Buwei.

Sure enough, as he was telling, Han Fei was recording quickly.

Zhao Kuo was a little tired when he said that, so he looked at the bamboo slips in Han Fei's hand.

It is a pity that these excellent schools like these today have just died like this.
