Chapter 14 There is a dragon here (1)

Most of the taverns in Gotland are structured in this way: one to two floors of low wooden houses with thatch on the roof. A fire grows in the middle of the tavern, and guests sit around the fire to keep warm and drink. If a minstrel visits, you can also hear the sound of the Qixuan zither and the epic poems.

Most of the time, even in the case of bards, guests talk about their own conversations unless there is a major event in Gotland.

"I've been home late every day these days, and I pass by the port every time. Guess what I see?" A blacksmith said mysteriously to his friend at the table, "The 'Flying Zelan' has been docking at the port for seven consecutive days!"

"Seven days? The King of Sweden hasn't gone out to sea for so long?"

Everyone at the deskmate was surprised. The Gotlanders knew that the flying Zelans were one of the residences of the Swedish kings, just like the palace. The Swedish king would take the flying Zelans to sea at night, spend the night on the boat, and then return to the port during the day. Although the motive for doing this was unknown, the Gotlanders guessed that it was to prevent assassination.

"Not only that. Do you know why I've been late these days? I received a order to build iron weapons and tools, which are of many types and in large quantities. The order comes from the King of Sweden." The blacksmith said, "Not only me, but the entire Gotland colleagues are now busy building iron weapons for the King of Sweden. You guess where these weapons have been sent? It's on the 'Flying Zealand's Number'!"

The guests on the tables around were attracted by the topic of blacksmiths. Someone asked, "So, war may begin recently? Who is the Swedish king going to teach a lesson this time?"

"So, I also received the order from the King of Sweden." The carpenter at the next table interjected, "The wheels and axles are very large, and they are all transported to the flying Zelan."

A businessman turned his head from the front table. He was forcibly moved from the island republic to Gotland by Ella. He is currently engaged in a water business abroad: "My salted fish business has been like this for the past few days, and the King of Sweden has not placed more orders. Salted fish is easy to preserve and can also be replenished with salt. If you want to fight, you don't have to buy more? However, other goods that have nothing to do with war have been moved onto the ship. I told me that this is not like going to war."

"So, is the King of Sweden going to sea to do trade?" asked a foreigner in a black hat. "Where is she going?"

"A month earlier, I heard that England was fighting. But now it's over. Now I'm not sure where to sell the ironware." A sailor said, "I even heard that the King of Sweden ordered a batch of ironware from Almany through the merchants of Lübeck!"

"If you order iron tools from Almani to Lubeck, the sales direction will definitely not be Almani in the south. But Sweden is originally in the northernmost part of the mainland. If you don't do business with Almani, where is the Swedish king going to transport these iron tools?" The foreigner with a black hat asked in a low voice, "Can it be that legendary 'Venlan'?"

The hotel owner deliberately let out a dry cough on the counter.

"Don't discuss Wenlan," he said, "at least don't discuss it here."

There was a burst of laughter in the hotel.

"Boss, what are you afraid of?" someone shouted to the boss with a smile, "Wenlan is no longer a secret. But what can you do? Can you fly over when you know where Wenlan is?"

"This foreign guy, are you interested in Wenlan?" Another person smiled and said to the foreigner in the black hat, "Why, do you want to run to see?"

"I heard that it was a new continent that I had never discovered. Isn't it normal to go over and see it?" The foreigner touched his head and smiled, "If it were a new continent, there might be new business opportunities and he could make a lot of money."

"Give up, I don't have the chance to go to Wenlan!" said the sailor. "Wenlan is too far from here. To go there, you must replenish fresh water and food in Iceland and Greenland. Those places are now closely guarded by the Hero King's army and do not accept foreign fleets at all. Without these two transit stations, you will starve to death on the ocean!"

“There is no other route?”

"No, don't give up!"

"Okay, don't talk about Wenlan anymore." The boss warned again, "I'm going to drive people away again."

So the topic came to an end for the time being, and people started drinking happily again.

After a while, a man pushed the door and walked in. As soon as he entered the door, he shouted loudly: "Hurry up, I'm so thirsty, boss, give me a glass of free water right away!"

"Your water." A beautiful woman put a glass of water on the table and asked with a smile: "Guest, what are you going to eat?"

"Nothing is needed." The man waved his hand carelessly, "I lost my wallet, I have no money on it today!"

Under normal circumstances, when you see such a shameless guest, the boss will probably change his face and drive him away immediately. However, when he was about to this guest, there was only a kind laugh in the tavern. The boss rubbed the quilt and said with a smile: "Dust, since you didn't bring any money, then you always have the story ready, right?"

"Stories? There are, as many as you want!"

So the boss waved his hand and signaled the guy to bring a large glass of honey to Dust's table. Although Dust didn't talk about the lyre, his adventure story was very popular and could add a lot of sound to the tavern.

Dust was not polite, and picked up the honey wine and poured it into his stomach.

Someone asked on the side, "Dust, the Flying Zealander has been docking at the port to load goods recently. Do you know what you are going to do?"

"Of course I'm going to Wenlan!" Dust wiped his mouth, "Go and slaughter a dragon by the way!"

Everyone in the tavern held up their ears: "Slay the Dragon?"

Dust deliberately kept it aside and knocked the empty wine glass on the table: "Why did this wine disappear so quickly? It's completely indifferent!"

"Boss, give him another cup!" The aquatic merchant waved his hand, "Share my account!"

After two glasses of wine, Dust said more.

"If you want to tell me, the King of Heroes is still too timid and chose the safest waterway. If you want to take risks, you still have to look at the King of Sweden!"

“There are other channels?”

The foreigner in the black hat lowered his head and mixed in with the crowd to question.

"Of course there is another route, but it's very dangerous! In addition to dragons, there are also stinging rays, sea worms, multifoot monsters, sword-girl whales, and the terrifying vortex!"

"It sounds a bit scary, why does the King of Sweden take such a waterway?"
