Chapter 12: The Feathered Snake God (10)

Izkoyatel rushed closer and closer, but Dan was reluctant to take action.

"Ten thousand? Are you sure?" he asked with some fear. "Is there no other way than this bluff?"

"There is another way."

Dan was overjoyed: "What? Say it quickly!"

"You and Izkoyatel face each other head-on. We'll help." Ella replied lightly, "I remember you said that your magic level is almost at the elf level."

Dan was crying and tears: "I said that, but it's not the same thing as the elf level and the elf level soon! Moreover, Hermes's protection is not a type suitable for going to the battlefield!"

Ella stopped talking. Seeing Izkoyatel rushing closer and closer, Dan had no choice but to close his eyes and lift the crowbar down from the altar!

Baslik appeared, with a red cockscomb, stretching out its wings dyed green, and its scales shone like gold with metallic luster. Its huge body coiled around the altar. It spitted its scarlet tongue, revealing its sharp fangs, staring at Izkoyatel from a high altitude.

This is a creature summoned by Dan's magic. Not only is it very different from the "Feathered Snake God" in appearance, but it is far from the opponent of Izkoyatel in terms of strength. But Izkoyatel was stunned. He slowly raised his head, looked at Baslic's gong-like eyes with an incredible look, suddenly turned around and drilled into the ground!

"Run! He was so scared!" Dan was so excited that he almost fell off the altar, "What's going on? This snake and the feathered snake god are completely different, right?"

"I will explain to you later, in short, we will catch up!"

"Catch up?" Dan suddenly became troubled again, "He got into the ground and couldn't find anyone?"

Before he finished speaking, another vibration came. Near the city gate, Izkoyatel jumped out of the ground with a strange cry. He was surrounded by fire, and he rolled over several times in pain on the ground, and finally put out the fire.

Dan's mind has become blank after experiencing this series of changes: "What's going on? King of Sweden, didn't you say there are no traps?"

"There are no traps near the altar, but there are still traps in the direction of escaping the altar. Alfred and I were worried that Tessosomok and Bjorn would work together to attack the city, so we prepared many traps in the combat meeting, and now it finally came in handy." Ella raised her head, "Let me see if I have hit these three traps one after another, does Izkoyater still have the courage to continue digging holes!"

Izkoyatel climbed up from the ground in pain, stumbled a few steps, and after a while, he saw the giant snake coiled on the altar again. Baslik spitted a message, and Izkoyatel's pupils immediately dilated, as if he had seen the most terrifying thing in the world. He habitually lowered his head and wanted to get into the ground, but as soon as his eyes touched the ground, he immediately took several steps back in fear. Then, a strange scream like crazy came out of his mouth, and he stumbled on his feet and stumbled out of the door!

"Dan, there was a saying you said before - even if you scare him away, if you don't have the ability to capture him, he will continue to cause trouble." Ella turned her head and stared at Dan, her eyes becoming sharp, "But, this 'if' does not exist. Since I want to attract him, I will be sure to kill him. Let Baslik move and take me to chase him - this is a military order!"

Under that sharp look, Dan suddenly felt that he was extremely small, and Ella in front of him became a giant that crushed her. He opened his dry mouth and asked, "King of Sweden...how many traps have you prepared?"

"The last one is left, but it is also the deadliest one - I repeat it and chase after it. This is a military order!"

Baslik moved. It reached its head under the altar, and Ella stepped on its forehead. It steadily caught it, then let Ella sit down and hugged its head. Then Dan jumped down. Baslik took the weight of two adults as if nothing had happened, and raised his head to chase Izkoyatel who was running away.

Baslik continued to increase his speed. The snake's back was not suitable for riding. The smoothest place was already occupied by Ella, and Dan couldn't sit firmly behind him. But he didn't dare to hug Ella's waist, so he could only rely on his arms to hug the snake's body, trying hard not to fall off the snake's back.

"King of Sweden, you said there is still a trap left, but there are three directions of his escape!" Dan shouted hard during the bumps and shaking, "Don't tell me, you have already predicted the direction of his escape!"

"Of course. Do you remember the first villagers who arrived in the refugee camp in Winchester? They actually did not come from the nearest village, but from Southampton. I intended that the residents there first learn about the refugee camp. Southampton is on the south side of Winchester, and to the south is my port in England. What Izcoater fears the most now is to bump into the army that I escort the villagers head-on, and since the residents in the south have arrived in Winchester, it is the only place where there is no possibility of encountering my army. Therefore, there is only one escape route for Izcoater - Southampton."

But after seeing Izkoyatel running aimlessly for a while, he turned to the south!

Dan would never dare to speak loudly again. The petite girl in front of him had seen everything that was happening two days ago - whether Izkoyatel would attack Winchester within three days, or he would attack the dungeon first and then attack the altar, or even he would eventually evacuate south, everything was as she expected.

And this kind of foresight is not divination or magic. Everything is based on Ella's intentional guidance. From the moment she mobilized the villagers, Izkoyatel was pulled by an invisible thread and got closer to her delicately designed trap step by step.

"I still don't understand one thing," Dan asked, "Why can Baslik scare Izkoyatel off? It looks completely different from what you described!"

"First of all, Izkoyater's own suspicion and fear. Then Bjorn once said when introducing me to the Snake God that in Aztland, almost every city-state describes myths slightly differently."

"So what? Is there anyone who describes a feathered snake god who looks like this?"

"I don't know. But Dan, you are also an alchemist. You should know that there are many ways to make pseudo-gold in alchemy, and some of the finished products have reached the point of being fake and real, and only those who are most familiar with alchemy can distinguish the differences."

"Yes. But the premise is that it is to be fake and real. Those rough fake gold can be identified by ordinary people..."

"Ordinary people can identify gold because they have seen real gold."

Ella interrupted Dan, and then she raised a question that made Dan extremely frightened:

"But, who has ever seen a true God?"

Dan's voice became hoarse: "'Who has seen a real god'? King of Sweden, you mean..."
