Chapter 14 Lord of Logos (2)

Ella took Amy to the towering cliff. Below the cliff there was a dead giant tree, but in its hole, a new big tree rose up and stretched out branches and buds on the dead giant tree. These buds were like two hands stretched out from the dead giant tree to the sky. From a distance, the giant tree seemed to be crying at the sky.

Although it was not the season, there were circles of blood-colored roses wrapped around the torso of the giant tree. Rounds of thorns were like chains, locking the giant tree firmly on the ground.

"This should be the burial place of the Son of God." Paracelsus said, looking at the giant tree, "It is said that after the Son of God was hit by the gun of Longineus, his blood dripped into the ground, and blood-colored flowers that never withered grew. People were amazed at its beauty, picked it and planted it in the garden, so there was the rose we call it now."

"Parracelsus, I remember you are a believer in the Abraham Church." Ella said to Paracelsus, "Don't you go and worship this tree?"

Paracelsus shook his head: "Forget it. The Son of God is the Son of God, and God is the God."

"Isn't the Son of God your God?" Amy was a little surprised. "I remember what you said about the Trinity... or something."

Ella recalled her experience in the Almani Federation and asked, "Are you not a member of the Orthodox Church of Abraham, but a member of the Ancient Church of Abraham?"

Paracelsus shook his head again: "I have my own considerations. You are not from the Abraham church, and you don't understand it even if you say it."

Ella didn't care about this kind of thing, so she turned her attention back to the tree again.

"Even if I am not a member of the Abraham Church, I will want to offer it as a god when I see this tree. The power of that Son of God is really terrible."

Hearing this sentence, Amy couldn't help but ask curiously: "Your Majesty, when Augustus was besieged, his troops were 10,000 to 130,000. So how did he defeat more than ten times the powerful enemy and kill this most powerful magician in history?"

"The key figure is not Nero, but Longineus."

Ella replied as she looked at the giant tree.

"At the most critical moment of form, Longinus rushed to the battlefield. He stabbed the Son of God with his spear in his hand and killed him. Such an incident shocked the entire army of the Tianfang Empire. Nero seized the opportunity to launch an epic counter-charge. The Tianfang Empire was defeated on the whole line, and more than 50,000 people surrendered alone - all of these 50,000 people were later killed by Nero. The Seven Hill Empire took this opportunity to launch a strategic counter-attack. However, if the Son of God had not died in battle, all this would not have happened, so the greatest contribution would still be to Longinus."

"That's right! I feel so too! Do you know that Langhinus was riding a black dragon from the sky, falling from the sky! The sun was blocked by the huge black dragon, like a solar eclipse! The Son of God only looked up at the sky, and Langhinus rushed over on the dragon. The 130,000 army could not stop him from advancing. Countless arrows shot into the sky, dyeing the entire sky black. But under the roar of the black dragon, all the arrows were shaken open and fell back to the ground like a rainstorm. Langhinus was wearing black dragon scale armor, like Gilgamesh, who was blessed by the legendary gods, and rushed to the place where the Son of God was... "

"Well, I don't seem to have seen these records in the library. Where did they come from... Who are you?"

Ella suddenly found that there was an extra girl beside her. She looked about the same age as Anna, wearing a pure black robe with no characteristics, like a priest practicing in the temple. Her hair was also black, and only a few strands of red were dyed with unknown dyes on both sides of her hair, revealing a little vitality that belongs to the young girl.

For some reason, the girl was dragging a dead ram in her hand.

Hearing Ella's question, the girl cleared her throat and replied solemnly: "My name is Draguè. On the way back to the temple, I heard you talking about Langinus, and ran over!"

"Then the goat in your hand..."

"I bought it from the market! I made dinner for my sister!"

Amy looked at the dead sheep with suspicion: "You went to the market to buy a whole sheep. You didn't pull it back, but killed it and dragged it back all the time?"

After Amy said this, Ella noticed that there was a scar on the sheep's neck, which was not like a knife, but like it was bitten by the teeth of a beast.

Draguer noticed Ella's sight and replied hurriedly: "The sheep were alive, but on the way, I tied the sheep to the tree and went to the river to drink water. When I came back, the sheep was bitten to death by the beast, so I had to drag it back!"

"Is that true? Where did the things you just said about Longinus come from?" Paracelsus asked cautiously, "Why does it seem like you saw it with your own eyes?"

"Oh-?" Draguer was stunned for a moment, and then replied, "I heard from my sister. Isn't the story of Longinus fighting with the Son of God very famous in Delphi? After all, this is the place where the Son of God dies! If you want to listen, I have many other versions..."

"Sorry, it's getting late. We still need to find a place to stay."

Just as Draguer was about to continue the story about Langhinus, Ella interrupted her apologetically. She looked at the horizon: the sun had not gone down completely, only a trace of afterglow that had not yet fallen deep in the horizon.

They should have been on the road as soon as possible, but they unknowingly delayed for a long time on this ancient battlefield.

"Draguè, we are all foreigners. I want to find a place to stay tonight. Do you know where there are people nearby?"

"Hey? It's still far from the town. There are no other houses except our temple. But my sister will not allow outsiders to live in the temple..."

"Your sister?"

"It's the chief priest of the temple. That being said, there are actually only two people in the temple, me and my sister."

Ella looked around. Since they went down the mountain, the town was invisible. As the girl said, the nearby area was desolate and there was no way to see people.

"It's easy for me to stay in the temple of the Orthodox Church of Abraham..."

Ella muttered softly.

However, Ella knew how to deal with the priests of the Seven Hills Empire.

"We won't stay for free, we will pay," Ella said. "You can tell how we look, we are not poor."

Draguer looked at Ella left and right, still hesitating. Seeing this, Amy bent down with a smile and patted her head: "Are you tired? If you take us over, we can help you move the sheep back?"

Draguye finally agreed: "Well... OK. But I only take you there. Whether you can stay overnight depends on yourself."
