Chapter 4 Its a pirate! (7)

The ships in the Pirate Kingdom were basically small sailboats of a unified system, which could accommodate twenty to fifty people. Before Ella was captured to the Pirate Kingdom, the function of these ships was only to transport troops. Except for the bows and arrows in the hands of the pirates, the ships themselves were not equipped with any weapons for naval combat.

In order to resist Ragna's attack, Ella installed the ships with ocean fire and defeated Hafdan's navy in the narrow strait. Since then, the ships of the Pirate Kingdom have been equipped with some weapons suitable for naval warfare.

Ella holds nearly 600 such sauna boats in her hand, most of which are equipped with specially-modified crossbows for these ships, which can be used to destroy the hulls of enemy ships. One hundred of them are equipped to see the ocean fire. In addition, Ella has transferred all the archers into the navy a few days ago to ensure the firepower of the naval battle.

All of these ships were arranged on the sea by Ella, ready to fight against the Navy of the Republic of Liguria.

"It's my fault." Ella stood on the deck of the flying Zelan, very upset, "I should have ordered a strong attack on Azov a few days ago."

Amy looked at Ella worriedly: "Your Majesty, how sure are you in this naval battle?"

Ella looked at the Ligurian Navy that was approaching. Their size was much smaller than Ella's navy. It was initially estimated that it was about one hundred and fifty ships, but each ship was generally larger than the ships of the Pirate Kingdom.

"Ship is like a fortress. The so-called naval battle is to kill and damage the people in the enemy fortress under the cover of the fortress, or directly destroy the fortress itself." Ella said, "In terms of technology, we are absolutely weak, our weapons and equipment are slightly weaker, but the performance of the ship should be our superiority, and the size of the navy is absolutely superior, and the overall winning rate... I can only say it is around 50%.

"Huh? 50%? That means it's the same?" Amy was surprised. "Your Majesty is so worried these days, I thought we were at a great disadvantage."

"'The victorious soldiers first win and then seek war; the defeated soldiers first fight and then seek victory' - this is the argument of the soldier saint." Ella watched nervously at the enemy's moves from afar, "50% victory rate... I hate such combat."

At the same time, the same sound sounded on the flagship of the Republic of Ligurian Navy:

"The victorious soldiers will win first and then seek war; the defeated soldiers will fight first and then seek victory. Ansardo, what do you think we have this time to win?"

The speaker was Andrea, who used this question to test a young general who followed him.

Ansaldo laughed heartily and said, "Marson, give me three ships. I'll test the other party's strength and come back to answer your questions."

Andrea nodded with satisfaction. Ansaldo's answer was quite consistent with his wishes.

"You said it very well. No matter how confident you are in your own strength, don't forget to understand your opponent. Just use three ships to test the opponent, and you will command one of them."

"Only one?" Ansaldo suddenly became anxious, "Who will be the commander-in-chief? Marshal, I don't want to be called around by other generals..."

Andrea smiled and pointed to his nose: "He will be the commander-in-chief, why, don't you?"

Ansaldo was stunned for a moment: "Marson, do you want to go to investigate in person?"

"Did you see that big ship?"

Andrea pointed to the "Flying Zealand" in the distance.

The biggest of Andrea's warship is the one he is currently riding on. It is a three-layer slurry warship that requires one hundred and seventy sailors to control and can also carry sixty soldiers. But even this ship still looks short in front of the "Flying Zelan". Compared with the "Flying Zelan", the remaining warships are like small strawberries decorated around the three-layer cake.

"For what reason did the enemy pull this big ship across the prairie? What kind of mystery is there on this big ship? The soul of the sea is calling me, forcing me to get closer to observe."

Ansaldo nodded in understanding and did not stop Andrea. Andrea from liking everything about the ship, which is well known. More importantly, no one thought Andrea would be in danger—even if he planned to approach the reconnaissance with only three ships.

Under Andrea's command, his fleet divided three light sailboats. He sat in one of the small boats and approached Ella's navy with the three small boats. This should be an extremely dangerous act, but both Andrea, Ansaldo, and other seamen on the three ships seemed calm and composed.

As the Navy continued to approach Ella, the shape of the "Flying Zealand" became clearer in Andrea's eyes.

"Is it actually a five-layer slurry sailboat? If you take off the sail, you will need at least 300 oarsmen to drive it, right? Its cabin looks enough to hold 1,500 people... In this case, it is not surprising that even cattle and sheep are raised in it. How much manpower, material resources and financial resources will be used to build such a large ship?"

The Navy likes larger giant ships, just as fish like wider seas. Andrea seemed to have forgotten that he was on the battlefield, staring straight at the "Flying Zelan" and could see the gods.

"If I had such a ship, I would have the opportunity to go to the ocean and explore the margins of the world... Oh, Pirate Kingdom, are you really qualified to own this ship?"

A huge sound pulled him back to the battlefield. It was a catapult loaded on the Flying Zelamites that were shooting rock bombs at them. The sea water rolled under the impact of the rock bomb, shaking violently the boat Andrea was riding.

"I actually carried a catapult on the ship? And this power... is not a small power version of the specialized naval battle, but a catapult for siege directly moved? Isn't the Pirate Kingdom afraid that the ship will capsize?"

The flying Zelan still floated steadily on the sea. The recoil of the catapult failed to shake it.

Andrea looked at the "Flying Zelan" and couldn't help but reach out his hand-

"Ansaldo, do you know who I remembered... It is the Seven Hill Empire, the powerful Seven Hill Empire in my dream!"

"Marson! The Seven Hills Empire is no longer as before!" Ansaldo reminded on another ship, "I heard that even the Parliament has been discussing recently to separate subordinate relations with the Seven Hills Empire!"

"Yes, it cannot be the Seven Hill Empire... But the light of civilization shot from this ship made me think of it! Get closer!" Andrea ordered excitedly, "Let me take a closer look!"

"Marson, you can't move on!" Ansardo reminded on another ship, "The enemy ship is coming towards us!"
