Chapter 20 Another Battlefield (1)

The former Duke of Anglia, and the present Peasant Republic of Anglia.

The junction between the Almani Federation and the Pirate Kingdom has been affected by war.

The war started with a trip by Haral, the "Hairs King". He traveled to Paris by land in the name of Ella, but was attacked by the opposition inside the Almani Federation who pretended to be a bandit. He and Count Anhalt were besieged in a baron's castle. Count Anhalt, a pro-pirate kingdom, broke through to seek help, and Haralt was not willing to wait for reinforcements in the castle. After Count Anhalt broke through, he and three members of Ella's staff team pretended to be knights of the Almani Federation. After the first breakthrough, he unexpectedly broke through the blockade and fled to Anglia for protection.

What happened later proved that Haral's decision was correct. The Earl of Greschenstein, who came to ask for help, was actually the planner of the attack. The reinforcements did not come, but the enemy's reinforcements came. The small Baron Castle was captured within three days. When it was discovered that the "King of Sweden" was no longer there, and the only one in the castle was the poor Baron's family, the Earl of Greschenstein was furious and rushed towards Anglia.

After Anglia overthrew Duke Otto and established the Peasant Republic, it has been a sensitive area. The action of Count Greychenstein suddenly ignited the powder barrel. The war broke out like this.

In addition to Count Greychenstein, more than ten lords of all sizes in the northern part of the Almani Federation joined the military operations to encircle and suppress the peasant republic. They were all xenophobic factions headed by the Duke of Aquitaine. Although this military operation seemed sudden, it had been brewing for a long time. They besieged Anglia, and the Duke of Aquitaine besieged Paris. The two armies echoed each other, and the sun and moon changed the sky.

The Peasant Republic of Anglia was not alone. Although it was considered an alien in the republic, they were nominally recognized by the Earl of Ile-de-France and an independent republic. Therefore, at the beginning of the war, the noble coalition was criticized by the other republics. In addition, this peasant republic was also blessed by the King of Sweden, and most of the republics in the northern federation were factions of pro-pirate kingdoms. Therefore, although the Anglia Peasant Republic was poor, it was constantly receiving support from materials.

Therefore, although the noble coalition forces were constantly winning, their advancement was not as fast as expected.

For example, now, the Earl of Greschenstein, who had led his army deep into Anglia, received an annoying report - one of his transport convoys was attacked by enemies who had emerged from nowhere.

This was an extremely important batch of materials, which was related to whether the coalition forces could continue to fight in Anglia. Therefore, as soon as they received this report, Earl Greshenstein was so anxious that he pushed away the naked woman on his body, and ran out while pulling his pants. He hurriedly ordered a group of cavalry, and before he could even fill the kettle, he rushed to reinforcements.

"This is the third time this month!" He shouted immediately, "Why can these farmers always find our transport convoy!"

"I'm afraid it's the ones who are doing it." said the staff on the side, "We can't avoid them when preparing supplies. Most of these chambers of commerce in the north are pro-pirate kingdoms."

"Next time, I'll go to the chamber of commerce in the south! Go to the merchants of the Republic of Liguria and the Island Republic!"

"The Island Republic has disappeared. As for the Republic of Liguria... it seems to be a pro-pirate kingdom."

"Damn it! When I destroy Anglia and the Pirate Kingdom, I will attack these profit-oriented merchants!"

Although he cursed, Count Greychenstein had no choice but to do so in this situation. After all, the situation was like this because he let the Swedish king slip away. According to the original plan, the Swedish king would be cut into a mess by him on the way to Paris!

"Is it too late for us to pass now?" someone said worriedly, "It's a full half-day away from the place where the incident happened."

"If you don't hurry, then hurry up!" Earl Greshenstein yelled non-stop immediately, "This is our food for half a month! Half a month!"

Everyone lowered their heads speechlessly. In fact, even Earl Greychenstein himself knew that including the time of the messengers' back and forth, it was at least a day since the attack was over when they arrived at the scene. For a whole day, unless the transport team could repel the incoming enemies themselves, the enemy might have already held a celebration banquet in the camp with their food. But if the transport team could repel the enemy themselves... there would be no such report.

The consequence of this batch of materials being robbed is to immediately reverse the situation of the battle. All the results they have achieved at present will be vain!

With such concerns, they rushed around for a long time until they met the transport team head-on.

Seeing the intact supplies, Earl Greshenstein was both happy and angry. He found the captain responsible for transportation from the crowd and cursed, "What's going on? Is it an attack that I promised? I was worried for a long time!"

A burst of laughter rang out from behind.

"It was attacked, but I happened to pass by with my army and defeated them. Earl Greschenstein, this time, you owe me a favor."

Earl Greshenstein looked in the voice and saw the person talking, and was overjoyed: "Earl Tier, you are not serving under the Duke of Aquitaine, why did you come here?"

"Of course, it's because we have taken down the Palace of Versailles, and the Earl of France has also been locked in a cell by us and will be tried soon." Earl of Tier laughed, "So the Duke of Aquitaine asked me to lead the team here first to support you!"

"The matter has been done?" Earl Glachenstein was even happier. "So, is the Duke of Aquitaine's army already behind?"

"Of course, reinforcements will come in a steady stream. But the Duke of Aquitaine himself... He still has some things to do when he stays in Paris." Earl Thier said meaningfully, "After all, it is difficult to do if the legal status of the Republic of Anglia, to ban other republics from aiding the Republic of Anglia, and to persuade those factions of pro-pirate kingdom among the nobles... These things are not easy to do without sitting in the position of the consul."

"Yes, yes, it's important to be the consul first! But the Duke of Aquitaine actually got things done so quickly... Now, the Almani Federation is saved!"
