Chapter 11 The Principality of Brittany (2)

After asking the Knight where the best tailor was, the Earl of France pulled Princess Navarre and went straight to the clothing store. The store didn't look big, but there was an expensive red carpet in front of the door. The waiter standing at the door was dressed up and bowed politely, making people understand that this was not a place where civilians could come.

There weren't a few clothes in the hall, but there were a few coffee tables with fresh flowers and exquisite ceramic tea sets. As soon as the two entered the door, a waiter was entertained and sat down to pour them tea. A small door was opened on the east side of the hall, which was closed, and there were another waiter standing in front of the door, smiling and bowing to the Count of Ile-de-France and Princess Navarra.

"Sir, this lady." The waiter who poured the tea set lowered the tea set and bowed to them with a smile, "What kind of service can you provide?"

The Count of Ile de France pointed his eyes at Princess Navarre: "Prepare one for her clothes."

"Not one." Princess Navarra corrected with a smile, "I don't have any clothes to change now. Please prepare at least five casual clothes and two evening dresses for me. Oh, by the way, let's give me another one to watch the opera."

As she said that, she looked at the Earl of France provocatively: "Do you think too much?"

"No, it's quite reasonable." The Count of Ile-de-France began to drink tea, "do what she said."

"No problem." The waiter made a "please" gesture towards the small door, "Please move a little, let's measure the size."

"It's going to be there tonight." The Count of Ile-de-France looked up and added, then lowered his head to drink tea.

"It won't be done." The waiter explained with a smile. "The clothes we have here are customized. Usually, we have to pick up clothes, and it will take half a month at the earliest."

"Your business is good." The Earl of France continued to drink tea. "Since that's the case, there should be clothes made by other nobles in the store that have not been picked up yet, right? Find someone with a similar figure and take out the clothes she has ordered to change. Change a set of dresses and casual clothes first, and you can do the rest slowly."

"I'm sorry." The waiter bowed with a smile again, "There are no such clothes in the store now."

"What should I do?" the Count of Ile-de-Isle-October France spread his hands and said to Princess Navarra. "The expensive clothes you mentioned seem to take half a month to get them."

Princess Navarra snorted again. Seeing that the Earl of Francis was frustrated, she felt indescribable pleasure.

"Didn't you say you want to buy me clothes? That won't work? I don't care. If you say it yourself, you can find a way to solve it yourself."

"As for your order, Your Highness."

The Count of Ile de France sighed and threw a bulging purse onto the table.

"We're not short of money," he told the waiter. "We just need a set of clothes that we can wear tonight."

The waiter glanced at the purse.

"There are indeed good clothes, but it's not a matter of money. Our guests here are at least knights. We can't explain the clothes they have made."

"Knights, that is, nobles without territory, are they?"

The Count of Ile-de-France threw another piece of thing towards the table:

"We need clothes tonight for urgent needs. I have a small piece of property on the border of Brittany, which is a village, not big, but it is also rich. If any reasonable knight is willing to give us his custom-made clothes, I would like to let him take care of the assets here for me, and I can give him the title of Baron. I think no knight would refuse."

After picking up the things that the Earl of Ile-de-France throws on the table and looks at it, the waiter's eyes straightened: "Sir... wait here, I'll go find our boss now."

"How?" The Earl of Ile-de-France looked at Princess Navarre, "Are you satisfied?"

"It's okay." Princess Navarra commented, "It's quite satisfying to see you lack a baron collar."

"No, it's just an extra vassal."

After saying that, the Earl of Ile-de-France continued to drink tea, as if this matter had nothing to do with him.

Things were soon discussed. There happened to be a set of clothes in the store that were similar to Princess Navarra, which was customized by a knight for her fiancée. Just hurry up and change it slightly and you can wear it at night.

Walking out of the store, the Count of Ile de France looked up at the sky.

"It looks like it's around 3pm," he said, "Do you want to have some snack first?"

"Are you going to the roadside stall again?"

"No, when we were in Aquitaine, we were only tourists passing by; but now, I am the consul of the Federation of Almany, and you are the fiancée of the local lord." said the Earl of Ile de France. "The crispy cakes in Brittany are very famous, let's find a better shop."

Princess Navarra did not refuse.

Soon, crispy cakes and snacks were placed in front of the two of them. This was a quiet restaurant, with only a few tables in the huge room, and most of the places were decorated with sculptures, vases, porcelain and other artworks. Because they were far apart from each other, guests at each table could talk to the fullest without worrying about being heard by others.

The Count of Ile de France pushed all the snacks in front of Princess Navarre.

"Eat it, after handing you over to the Duke of Brittany, I will go back to Versailles. This may be the last time I have invited you to have a snack."

After the Earl of France finished speaking, she waited for Princess Navarra's response. But Princess Navarra didn't say a word. After a pause, the Earl of France could only continue to say it himself: "So I want to explain some things clearly to you."

"Is this time finally here?"

Princess Navarra put down the tableware in her hand and stared at the Count of Ile-de-France solemnly:

"I know you have been pleased me. But you have killed all my family, which is a deep feud. It's useless for you to please me."

"If this is the case, it will be troublesome. The Duke of Brittany will definitely ask why I sent you here. I can only answer that it was a coup that happened in Navarre. He will definitely ask who initiated the coup. Then you point your hand at me, and it will be over, everything will be over."

"Are you scared?"

"No, because I will definitely try my best to survive." The Earl of France looked at Princess Navarra seriously, "At that time, I don't know if I was killed by your fiancé or your fiancé."

Princess Navarra felt a little funny: "Why do you do such a troublesome thing? I killed me directly when I was in Navarra, let me be burned to death during Aquitaine, or brought me directly back to Versailles. Isn't it gone?"

"Because I have decided to save you. When the bell of Navarra rang three times."

"It's you who killed my whole family. Are you pretending to be a good person now?"

"I do not deny that I am a wicked man. But wicked man will also have kindness and compassion."

The Count of Ile de France avoided Princess Navarra's sight and rubbed her fingers.

"If you really can't let go, it's fine. I'll try to find a way to escape without hurting your fiancé."

"you--"

Princess Navarra choked and didn't know what to say for a moment. After a long time, she closed her eyes and sighed:

"Okay, Carolin, add me a plate of crispbread and drinks."

The Count of Ile-de-France looked up: "You mean?"

"I mean, add another plate of crispy cakes to me. In this way, I won't instigate my fiancé to deal with you, okay?"

"real?"
