Chapter 118 The Bloody Battle of Kaifeng (1)

China purchased war defense artillery from Germany around 1934. By 1938, when Germany stopped exporting weapons to China, China imported about 500 war defense artillery from Germany and 550,000 shells.

The first time the war defense artillery fought against the Japanese army was in the Battle of Shanghai. Faced with the impact of Japanese tanks, the war defense artillery could tear open the thin-skin armor of the Japanese Type 89 medium tanks from 500 meters away, which surprised the Japanese army. In the battle surrounding the important field in northern Shanghai, seven or eight Japanese tanks even dared to attack a 37mm war defense artillery in the Chinese army.

The Battle of Taierzhuang was the most exciting scene of war defense artillery. The Chinese army used it to destroy 13 Japanese tanks, which led to the Japanese army calling it "a terrible weapon that caused the soldiers of the tank to cry."

However, under the long-term combat consumption, the Chinese army's combat artillery gradually became "unable", especially the Japanese superior artillery firepower and infantry grenade launchers caused great losses to the Chinese war defense artillery troops. Because the effective range of war defense artillery is too close, it must be deployed on the front line to work, and it is easily suppressed by Japanese long-range artillery, mortars, and infantry grenade launchers.

By the end of the Wuhan Battle in 1938, the number of war defense artillery had dropped sharply to the lowest level. Although the remaining artillery continued to participate in several battles, there was no outstanding performance.

Using war defense cannons, or direct fire cannons, is of course Yang Tianfeng's unique idea. There is no submachine gun or grenade, and using artillery for street fighting is not exchanged, which is also advanced experience. In addition, Yang Tianfeng also asked Sun Tongxuan to draw up a batch of explosives and urgently made ammunition for the counterfeit heavy artillery company.

The more Yang Tianfeng wanted this and that, the more Sun Tongxuan felt that he was serious and willing to work hard, and he really wanted to do his best when attacking Kaifeng.

Time flies very quickly, and a few days pass by in a flash. Although Yang Tianfeng is not very satisfied, there is no way to do so. It is easy to propose the new tactics. Whether officers and soldiers can use them proficiently and achieve the expected results can only be tested through long-term running-in training and practical combat.

But training is better than not training. Based on information from all parties, Yang Tianfeng believes that the defense of the Japanese army in Kaifeng is relatively lax and stationed relatively scattered, while street fighting is one of the fighting styles that can partially offset the Japanese fighting qualities.

In addition to the disgusting tenacity of the Japanese, the Third Army lacked heavy weapons for attacking, the lack of cunning enough when siegeing the city, and the tight time, it seems that there is no more reason for the return of the past in history.

As long as the city can be quickly broken and the assault regiment enters the city, even if the tactics are not implemented well, it will be a situation of chaos. The assault regiment with greatly strengthened firepower, plus the support troops, will be in chaos. How much loss can they suffer if the number of people is superior?

On the night of the thirty days, the attack on Kaifeng began. The Mixed Division crossed the New Yellow River from Xiaopanzhuang in Zhongmu and Luguan in Weishi, and arrived at the scheduled location to camp.

On the evening of the 31st, the troops secretly entered the assembly area under the night sky. Although it was the 11th day of the lunar month, the weather was beautiful, and the thick clouds covered the moonlight, providing excellent hidden conditions for our army's actions. A unit of more than 10,000 people arrived at the city, and the Japanese army guarding the city did not notice it.

According to the original plan, the generals of the Mianhe Division attacked the railway station (the south of Kaifeng City) and Nanguan. The two targets were not far apart and were both important locations. The total number of Japanese troops stationed in the total were more than 400.

Yang Tianfeng's plan changed was that the two regiments had a feint attack on the railway station, restrained the enemy from the Nanguan, and destroyed the railway, and blocked the Japanese army that might be supported by the railway; the assault regiment and the reserve regiment were attacked by the Songmen in the east. If they succeeded quickly, the assault regiment would develop northward and attack the enemy headquarters (Henan University) in the northeast corner of the city. The reserve regiment would leave a battalion to defend the Songmen, and the remaining troops would advance southward to attack the enemy in the Nanguan and to meet friendly forces outside the city.

Compared with Nanguan, there are not many defenders from Caomen in the east of the city and Songmen in the southeast of the city, and it is easier to attack. Because the Caomen city has high walls and a wide area in front of it, our army has no combat support, so it is difficult for us to attack this gate. However, Songmen, known as the small east gate, has two miles of guard and two miles each, and has many houses, which is conducive to hidden access and providing cover, so it has become the first choice for offensives.

In Yang Tianfeng's mind, when the People's Liberation Army attacked and opened the seal, after the South Gate was set, it also made a breakthrough from the Song Gate and thus attacked the city. Moreover, it took less than two hours from the beginning of the attack to the opening of the breakthrough.

Kaifeng after the Japanese army occupied it, of course, is incomparable to Kaifeng's permanent and semi-permanent city defense fortifications after the overhaul of the War of Liberation. Even so, Yang Tianfeng still carried forward his usual conspiracy and tricks, and performed a good show of seizing the city at the Song Gate.

Long before arriving in Zhengzhou, based on the information collected by the Military Control Commission and the Third Army detectives, Yang Tianfeng noticed that in Kaifeng City, in addition to the big fish, Maeda Maeda, the commander of the 31st Division, there was another person in Kaifeng City who was no less than him.

After graduating from the Japanese Army Non-commissioned Officer School, Sadasa Yoshikawa began his career as a spy, and soon transferred to the major spy Kenji Doihara in charge of intelligence reconnaissance work. He was praised for his "super strong" ability. In early 1939, he became the chief of the secret service agency of five provinces in North China.

Sasa Yoshikawa moved the secret service to the Shanxi, Shaanxi and Gansu Hall in the ancient city of Kaifeng, where he was in charge of commanding the activities of Japanese and puppet spies in various parts of North China. In order to retaliate against the continuous assassination and elimination of traitors between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party, Sasa Yoshikawa took office and regarded destroying the anti-Japanese organization and crazily arresting underground anti-Japanese elements as a major event. He ordered the killing of more than 120 Chinese anti-Japanese patriots, a demon whose hands were stained with the blood of the Chinese people.

Historically, Sadasa Yoshikawa was assassinated by the Kuomintang and Communist agents in 1940, ending his life as a vicious dog. But now, this demon is still in Kaifeng and is showing off his evil deeds. His secret service has hated the anti-Japanese patriots and made the people frightened. Even Maeda Maeda of the 35th Division wanted to give him three points.

Because Sadasa Yoshikawa also has a special identity, the nephew of Emperor Showa of Japan. This made him a bright career. He was already a major general and served as the chief of the secret service organs of five provinces in North China.

Therefore, Yoshikawa Sadasa and his spy team were quite arrogant in Kaifeng, and the special pass issued by the spy agencies was better than the one issued by the headquarters. In order to capture anti-Japanese elements in Kaifeng and surrounding townships, the spy team was active outside, often carrying special passes to enter the city at night, using cars, motorcycles or bicycles as tools to raid and arrest anti-Japanese patriots.

Yang Tianfeng keenly discovered this loophole that might not be a flaw, and discussed and studied it with Ma Yuming and other military command personnel for this purpose, and made relevant preparations. When he arrived in Zhengzhou, he also made up props for Sun Tongxuan, and now he can officially star in the show.

At 3:45 a.m., a noisy sound rang out at Songmen City Pass. More than a dozen bicycles were in front and a mule cart was behind, reaching the city gate as if no one was around.

"Open the door quickly, there are wounded people who need treatment immediately." Yang Tianfeng was too lazy to show off the forged special pass, and shouted to the city arrogantly: "Immediately call to inform You Yoshikawa that the bandit leader Niu Zilong and others have been arrested, and the interrogation will be immediately heard after the release."

"Can I have a holiday tomorrow? I want to go to Jinshui (comfort center) for a relaxing and relaxing time." Han Wenping didn't look at the city, and just spoke to Yang Tianfeng in a flattering manner.

Yang Tianfeng waved his hand and shouted impatiently: "I'll talk about it after the trial. Don't you feel ashamed to say this at this time?"

The searchlight swept over more than a dozen spies, and he was cautiously afraid to look at his face. Finally, he stayed in the mule cart. Two five tied people were lying on the weeds. You could even vaguely see the two of them's messy hair and blood on their faces. A wounded man had a white bandage wrapped around his head and arms, leaning against the side of the car.

The arrogant attitude, the pure Japanese, the carefully designed script, the perfect performance... all of this makes people wonder.

The suspension bridge fell, just an outer moat of more than meter deep and wide. Xiao Song Gate did not have a moat. The city gate creaked and pushed open, only half a fan. Yang Tianfeng waved his hand and the group entered the gloomy and dark door hole, but did not pass through it quickly. This should be a flaw, but it was too late for the Japanese to have doubts.

Wan, Wan, Wan... In the door hole, Yang Tianfeng and others started killing each other, pulled out the pistol with a silencer on their bodies, and it sounded like opening a champagne bottle. Five Japanese who opened the door were shot in the head and were held down to the ground.

Half of it succeeded! Yang Tianfeng knew that Xiao Songmen only had one team of Japanese defense, but there was probably only one squad who was on duty at night.

Kill the Japanese who opened the door, more than a dozen "spy agents", as well as the "inmates" and "injured" on the mule cart, all of them were very active, and they quickly picked up their bodies, various weapons under the weeds, and several silent mullets shot the forward, and rushed out of the dark gate hole. In the door, a flashlight opened and shot a beam of light out of the city.

Wow, Wow, Wow... Amid the low gunshots, fifteen people, three of them, rushed out of the door, rushed to the two sides of the city gate, and shot at the sight of people, like a ghost suddenly popping out of the darkness.

Outside the city, Dong Wanxuan, who was already sweating, finally saw the signal. He waved his hand suddenly, and a large group of people appeared from the hidden place and ran towards the city gate.

The battle near silent did not go smoothly, and the real gunfire finally rang out. It was exposed, and Yang Tianfeng and others were no longer reserved. The firepower was fully opened, and the shotgun, the flower mechanism, and the grenade launchers were also fired one after another, and the rushing was even more fierce.

Boom, boom! Two explosions sounded in the two bunkers inside the city gate. Before the awakened Japanese could fire a bullet, they were blown to pieces.

Dada dada...some machines spit out flames and shot dense bullets at the Japanese who were coming from everywhere when they heard the sound.
