Chapter 39(1/2)

chapter39

Rong Huan had a fever.

I wore a small dress at night and had been blowing the cold wind outside for too long. As soon as I was excited, I fainted.

When Fu Siyan took her to the hospital, he had never been so panicked.

Even though he was studying in a university abroad and had a fever of 40 degrees, his classmates around him advised him to go to the hospital, but he didn't say a word and continued the report on the topic. Once, he drove alone on the American road. Because it was raining heavily, the car overturned, and he crawled out, his forehead was covered with blood. He went to the hospital and had more than a dozen needles, but his face was not changed.

However, at this moment, he was guarding Rong Huan's bedside, looking at the weak little girl, he felt so nervous that he was not as good as he used to be. He wished he could feel uncomfortable for her.

Ji Chen was waiting quietly beside him, recalling the situation when Rong Huan was taken to the car just now. Fu Siyan's face was extremely dark, and his voice was trembling and told him to go to the nearest hospital.

In the back seat, Fu Siyan took off his coat and put it on her, then held it in his arms, touched her forehead with his hands, and called her name in a low voice.

"How long will it take..." Fu Siyan asked in a deep voice, frowning.

Ji Chen stepped on the accelerator again, "You can go to the second hospital in ten minutes."

When he arrived at the hospital, Fu Siyan rushed into the hospital with her in his arms and went to see a doctor.

Fu Siyan's hoarse voice brought Ji Chen back from memories to reality:

"Go and buy some white porridge, I'll be here tonight."

Ji Chen nodded and left, only two people were left in the private ward. Rong Huan was still sleeping, and Fu Siyan held her hand and stared at her.

He couldn't tell when he had a different relationship with the little girl. He thought that every time he was kind to her was just because of their uncle and nephew. However, this was just an excuse he had made again and again. He thought that his kindness to her made her misunderstanding touched her, but in fact he... had made the right to her first.

He wanted to give her all her favor and protect her for the rest of his life, but he could not be so selfish.

Their relationship made him unable to express his love for her boldly. He was so much older than her and he was more mature. He had to consider her future, and she still had a lot of wonderful time and would meet someone more suitable for her.

Bai Ning looked for him tonight and asked, "You obviously don't like Miss Xu, why did you bring her here?"

He didn't say anything, but Bai Ning also guessed it: "Did you show it to her?"

Bai Ning also understood that his dire environment at this moment, and the old man would not let go, he had to do so.

-

At around six o'clock the next morning, Fu Siyan leaned on the recliner next to the hospital bed, and a rapid phone ringing pulled him out of his shallow sleep.

It was Mr. Rong’s phone number.

As soon as they were connected, an excited voice came from the other end: "Where did you bring Huanhuan?!"

The old man woke up and found that Rong Huan and Fu Siyan had not returned all night. He thought something had happened to them, and was anxious and angry.

Fu Siyan pressed his eyebrows and explained the reason. When Mr. Rong heard that his granddaughter was sick, he even raised his breath even more and said that he would go to the hospital immediately.

After a while, Aunt Jing and Mr. Rong rushed over. Seeing Rong Huan on the hospital bed, they frowned and asked Fu Siyan: "Why are you sick all the time?!"

"It must be a cold catch. I blamed me for not letting her wear more clothes last night."

Rong Kangda looked at the man's Wu Qing and sighed: "You go back and take a rest first, haven't slept for a night?"

"I'm fine, Uncle Rong, I'll wait until she wakes up before leaving."

"It's more convenient to have Aunt Jing here. You'd better go back and pay attention. When Rong Huan wakes up later... I'll call you."

Fu Siyan murmured for a few seconds, nodded, picked up his suit jacket, and walked out of the ward.

Aunt Jing said to the old man: "Mr. Fu is also dedicated to taking care of the lady."

Rong Kangda snorted lightly and didn't say anything.

-

Rong Huan gradually opened her eyes and saw the white ceiling in the ward. The sound in her ears became clearer: "Miss Rong woke up... she woke up!"

She blinked her eyes, and the blurred figure slowly became clear. Rong Kangda was mixed with Aunt Jing, "Huanhuan, you finally woke up, but you were so worried about Grandpa."

"I...what's wrong with me?" She remembered that she was talking to Fu Siyan outside the banquet hall last night, and her eyes turned dark.

"You have a fever and fainted." The nurse came in and looked at Rong Huan's symptoms and said that the fever had subsided, but she still had to pay attention to rest.

Rong Huan was helped up, and Aunt Jing handed the water to her, "Come on, drink some water."

She took a few sips to relieve the dryness in her throat, then looked up, glanced around the ward, and slowly lowered her eyes.

Rong Kangda noticed her depression and changed the topic: "Are Huanhuan hungry? Buy you some porridge."

Rong Huan shook her head.

"Huanhuan, how can you not eat?"

As soon as the words were finished, the ward door was opened.

When Rong Huan saw Fu Siyan entering through the door, he quickly recalled the intimate scene between him and Xu Ruishuang last night, and his heart slammed.

She quickly stopped looking at him and stopped looking at him.

When Fu Siyan saw the little girl sitting, he paused and walked in with the things. He silently got up the table on the bed and placed the breakfast on it.

Rong Kangda sat in his seat, looked at them without saying a word.

She pulled her hands into a ball and heard him ask softly: "Do you want to add some sugar to Bai Porridge?"

She did not answer, but said, "Grandpa, I want to go home."

"...Okay, you can eat something first, and I'll have someone go through the discharge procedures for you."

Fu Siyan put the spoon to her. Seeing that she didn't want to pick it up, his face became a little cold, "If you don't eat it, I'll feed it."

A few seconds later, Rong Huan picked up the spoon.

After breakfast, she could feel Fu Siyan's burning eyes always falling on her, but she never said a word to him.

After returning home, Rong Huan locked herself in the room alone. No one knew what she was doing. Rong Kangda was afraid that she would do stupid things, but Rong Huan said: Grandpa, I was just sleepy, I just wanted to sleep for a while..."

From day to night, she sat by the bay window and thought about a lot of things. She shed tears silently until she couldn't come out.

At night, the bedroom door finally opened.

Rong Huan walked out.

Rong Kangda was in the room, with a lot of thoughts, sighing from time to time until Rong Huan walked in.

"Huanhuan..." Rong Kangda looked confused.

Rong Huan said: "Grandpa, I want to go abroad."

-

"I want to leave next semester. Can grandpa help me arrange it? I really want to go out for communication and study... Can Uncle Fu not know about this matter for now? He is very busy... I don't want to cause trouble for him."

After Rong Huan left, her clumsy explanations echoed in Rong Kangda's mind. He put his hand on the crutch, looked at the heavy night outside the window, and sighed deeply.

-

Rong Kangda privately arranged for Rong Huan's trip to her. Rong Huan and Fu Siyan were staying under the same roof. They were not happy at the moment. It would be better to separate and calm each other. Rong Huan's child is very polite. Maybe he can't pretend to be in his heart after a while.

A week later on New Year's Eve, Rong Huan received a notice that his trip abroad had been completed.

Seeing that the departure time was two days later, Rong Huan was stunned.

It’s not winter or summer vacation in the United States at this moment. Once it’s confirmed, you can go and report directly.

On New Year's Eve, because it was the New Year's Eve dinner, the three of them had a rare tablemate. For the past few days, Rong Huan has been avoiding Fu Siyan. She didn't want to see him. No matter how much Fu Siyan said he wanted to have a good talk with her, she would keep him away.

At this moment, Rong Huan lowered his head and held the dishes in his arms. After his eyes, he glanced at the man opposite him, his face seemed a little haggard and he had lost weight.

Bai Ning also called her these days and asked her to go out for fun, but she refused. She didn't want to let anyone know about the matter between her and Fu Siyan now.

The three of them were each concerned. After half of the dull dinner, Rong Kangda left the table. Aunt Jing brought a bowl of eight-treasure rice, "I just steamed it, Huanhuan tastes it. I know you like sweet food, it is made by Mr. Fu."

Rong Huan was stunned for a moment, looked up at the man opposite, and the man also looked at her, with expectation in his eyes.

Her heart softened and she scooped a bite into her mouth. The glutinous rice and the sweetness of taro paste were wrapped in crystal sugar juice. She chewed it carefully, and then said, "It's delicious."

After Aunt Jing left, Rong Huan said to Fu Siyan for the first time: "Uncle Fu, I want to set off fireworks tonight. Can you accompany me to buy it?"

The man was stunned for a moment, and said "yes", and his originally tense face instantly eased.

It was almost twelve o'clock in the evening, and Fu Siyan asked Rong Huan to get in the car and took her to buy fireworks. But she said, "It seems that there is a family nearby, just walk directly."

So the two walked together.

She lowered her head and rubbed her cold hands. She had been at home these days. When she came out, she wore less clothes. The man looked down at her and took off her coat and put it on her.

The little one seemed to be half circled in his arms. He buttoned the holes of the wool coat one by one. Rong Huan's heart was hot. Thinking that he would not see him in a few days, he turned the corner of his mouth down.

She blinked her eyes and suppressed her inner emotions. The two continued to walk forward, and after buying fireworks, they placed it in the open space in front of their doorstep.

Rong Huan was afraid of the loud noise, so he only dared to set off firework sticks. He held two of them in his hand and waved them. They were so beautiful.

Fu Siyan looked at her smile that had finally appeared for many days, and also raised her lips.

She handed the fairy stick to him, "Uncle, take one too."

He has never played such a child since he was a child, but he is willing to do this with her at this moment.

Fireworks began to bloom in the sky. Rong Huan looked up and asked him when he saw that it was already 23:59. She said, "Uncle Fu, is it okay for each of us to make a New Year wish?"
