Chapter 617 All kinds of scum(1/2)

In the warm dormitory, while chatting with everyone, military doctor Krall carefully helped Jack re-set his front teeth.

Drew rolled up his sleeves and looked at his watch, "Since Jack's teeth are fine, let's go to dinner together."

"Let me change my clothes first." Wei Ran took off his American M47 coat as he spoke.

Claure nodded, "You really need to change your clothes. This will help you integrate here faster."

"I just...I won't change it," Jack subconsciously waved his hand and refused.

Others didn't know what was going on, but Wei Ran knew clearly that this bully had a lot of valuable things hidden in his trousers.

Hearing this, Claure spread his hands without saying anything, but he and Drew each picked up an aluminum lunch box and walked out of the door one after another.

But when Wei Ran was changing clothes, he was puzzled. Morgan and Brendan didn't change clothes either. They were still wearing his American uniforms that should have been washed long ago, with just an extra cotton coat that had just been issued.

That's all.

Seeing this, Drew smiled and walked ahead, leading everyone to the kitchen's cooking port.

After queuing up for a meal, Wei Ran couldn't help but sigh secretly. The meal was better than what he had eaten on the road, two big snow-white steamed buns, an American stew with an amazing amount of meat, and even some pure meat.

beef patties and vegetable soup.

Although Wei Ran was a little regretful that he couldn't find any Chinese dishes other than steamed buns, Klauer did provide some extra jam that he said he made from wild fruits.

After eating a dinner that was surprisingly caloric and delicious, Drew and Krall put down their cleaned lunch boxes and started playing basketball around the basket on the playground outside the barracks. Even Morgan and Brendan didn't

He knew where he was going. Just when he went back to the dormitory to get the camera, even the black man Jack had disappeared.

Regarding this, Wei Ran had an indifferent attitude, walking around casually with the camera in hand, and from time to time, he would raise the camera and press the shutter.

In his lens, some prisoners of war were chatting and singing in groups, just like a small band, and there were even many listeners around. There were even people surrounding the table tennis table, challenging a man in a uniform.

Soldiers in volunteer army uniforms.

But the most intense thing was the two basketball teams that were competing against each other. Surrounding them were the largest crowds of spectators, including prisoners of war wearing gray cotton coats and soldiers wearing volunteer army uniforms.

The same was true for those who were competing for the basketball. However, as the whistles and cheers continued to sound, the team composed of prisoners of war clearly had an absolute advantage.

When Drew once again dunked the basketball passed by his teammate into the basket, the game ended at the whistle.

After taking a photo of each of the two teams, Wei Ran glanced at the sunset that was about to be blocked by the mountains and continued to wander aimlessly.

What he didn't expect was that on the edge of the camp, except for the two pieces of land more than ten meters long and five or six meters wide, one said "POW" (the abbreviation of Prisoner of War) and the other in Chinese language said "Prisoner of War".

In addition to the red wooden boards of the camp, there was a pigsty enclosed by a wooden fence not far away.

In the pigsty, several big fat pigs were slurping and enjoying the pig food mixed with swill. On the edge of the wooden railing, there was a small white prisoner of war wearing an apron and an iron bucket under his feet. He was looking at his hands.

The photos inside are in a daze.

Although it was some distance away, because the sunset happened to hit the photo, Wei Ran could just see the woman in the skirt in the photo and the red lip print on the paper full of words.

Silently, he raised his camera and took a photo of the other person, but the sound of the shutter made the person subconsciously look at Wei Ran.

"Are you taking a picture of me?" the white prisoner of war turned around and asked.

"Of course" Wei Ran smiled and nodded.

"Thank you. If you have a chance to develop a photo, remember to give me one." As the white prisoner of war spoke, he took out a pack of cigarettes from his pocket, pulled out one and handed it to Wei Ran.

"If I have the chance, I will give you the photo," Wei Ran promised as he took the cigarette and complimented her, "Your wife? She is so beautiful."

"certainly"

The young prisoner of war handed the photo to Wei Ran and looked at it. Then he reached out and said, "Jim."

"Victor" Wei Ran shook hands with the other party.

"You must be from the engineering company, right?" Jim asked in a sure tone.

Wei Ran nodded when he heard this, "What about you?"

"pilot"

Jim couldn't help but reveal a little arrogance in his tone, but then he said self-deprecatingly, "But that was a long time ago."

"You seem a little unhappy?"

Wei Ran chatted with the other party casually, and at the same time took a photo of a volunteer soldier not far away who was teaching prisoners to play shuttlecock next to the two sets of red wooden boards.

"I'm just a little homesick," Jim explained absentmindedly, "Who here misses home."

"It's better than going to the front line," Wei Ran comforted him kindly.

"Indeed," Jim nodded, "but I still miss home, my wife, and my beagle, Tom."

Before Wei Ran could say anything, an open space was cleared on the playground not far away. A few volunteer soldiers set up a curtain with the help of the surrounding prisoners of war, and then set up an old-fashioned projector.

"Victor!"

Not far away, Drew walked over while twirling the basketball on his finger. At the same time, he bumped fists with Jim enthusiastically, and then said, "Go to the dormitory and bring the small stool over. You can watch a movie tonight."

Already."

"Do you know each other?" Jim asked curiously.

"Of course I know you"

Drew put his arm around Jim's shoulders and introduced enthusiastically, "Victor was assigned to our dormitory today. Victor, this is Jim, my good friend. He and I are both from the same community in California. I

Even in the same class at the same high school as him and his wife."

This chapter is not over yet, please click the next page to continue reading the exciting content! "We didn't expect to meet in the same prisoner of war camp." Jim put his hand on Drew's shoulder, "Okay, let's go together.

Let's watch a movie, there might be some new movies today."

"Victor, how about helping me get an extra small stool? Jim and I will go ahead and reserve seats." While Drew was talking, he threw the basketball to Wei Ran.

"Okay, okay"

Wei Ran agreed with a strange expression, feeling more and more that after the fiery red sunset shone on Jim's head, it seemed to reveal a pale green light.

He clearly remembered that before he and Liu Yijiao captured Drew, the guy was bragging to his companions that he had slept with the wife of his pilot friend. Even his pilot friend's wife was still regretting why he didn't fight.

Die, otherwise she would receive a pension.

So Drew’s scumbag pilot friend couldn’t be Jim, right?

Wei Ran couldn't help but glance at the two good brothers holding each other's back again, and then he couldn't hold back his heart that seemed to be roasted by the fire of gossip, and returned to the dormitory with the basketball in hand.

However, when he pushed open the wooden door of his dormitory, he immediately smelled the unique smell of burning dog hemp.

Immediately afterwards, he saw Jack, a black man who had put on new clothes, smoking a cigarette in his mouth on top of the hot kang.

"Where did you get the dog hemp?" Wei Ran asked with a frown, opening the cotton curtain while speaking.

"Hey! Why don't you knock on the door?"

Jack, who was startled, quickly sat up, covered the sleeves of his cotton coat, and then said, "Would you like one? I just bought it."

"Bought it?" Wei Ran asked subconsciously, "Where did you buy it?"

"A rabbit rides a man, of course a rabbit rides a man." Jack said matter-of-factly, "Didn't Drew and Crowl talk about it before dinner?"

"Do you know rabbit riding language?" Wei Ran asked in surprise.

"How is it possible, I didn't even go to school, how could I know another language?"

Jack took a puff of his cigarette happily, "But you don't need to communicate through words when buying Inuma, right?"

"Didn't they say those rabbit riders had..."

"At most they just won't sell it, but they definitely still have some in stock that they smoke, so as long as they are willing to pay the price, they can always buy it."

Jack proudly took out a small tin box from his cuff, "I exchanged two rings for 20 rings. Do you want one? And how about you keep it a secret for me?"

"I don't have to"

Wei Ran simply rejected the other party's proposal, put the basketball away and said, "I won't report you, but you'd better not smoke in the house again. Besides, I'm informing you, not discussing with you."

Wei Ran's additional reminder obviously made Jack think of something. He immediately nodded happily and limped to the door with a cigarette in his mouth.

"Where are Morgan and Brendan?" Wei Ran picked up three small benches and asked as he walked out.

"how could I know?"

Jack, who was sitting on the threshold, spread his hands and said, "I would rather avoid them. Those two white-skinned pigs are not as easy to talk to as Drew and Mr. Crower."

Hearing this, Wei Ran didn't bother to ask any more questions. He tightly wrapped the scarf that the female warrior gave him before and strolled over to find Drew and Jim who had already grabbed a good seat.

As night fell, the outdoor movies that had only appeared in Wei Ran's childhood memories began to play.

What was playing on the curtain that was slowly fluttering in the breeze was an old Soviet movie "Happy Life". There was even the words "Translated by the Northeast Film Studio of the Central Film Bureau" in the title of the title.

Naturally, Wei Ran has never seen such a contemporary movie, but it is inevitable that he has heard the classic interlude "The Cranberry Blossoms".

Of course, compared to him sitting on a small bench reminiscing about the same year, the captives around him were happily discussing which actor was more beautiful. There was nothing that could be done about it, after all, this old movie did not have English subtitles.

However, before the outdoor movie accompanied by the cold wind was halfway through, gunshots suddenly rang out around the camp! Immediately afterwards, all the lights in the entire camp suddenly went out.

Before Wei Ran could react, the movie projector was taken away by the soldier in charge of the projection, and the surrounding prisoners immediately swarmed into the air raid shelter not far away!

"The wounded! The wounded! Take the wounded away with you!"
