Chapter 7 Passers-by in the team [Catch bugs]
At night, Freya wore a long windbreaker and stood up her collar to block the cold wind at night.
It took her some time to get out of the hotel. At night, she was sitting at the front desk of the lobby. She pulled Freya and said a lot of accidents that happened in the evening, hoping to stop her from going out for "exploration".
Visitors will receive a guide when entering Gotham, just like the brochure Freya found in a hotel room, which details the criminals who have become famous for more than a decade, from Penguin to Ridder, from Clown to Catwoman, and the people who wrote the guide introduce them to the tourists in a tone of introducing specialties, and even circle the power map provided by some "enthusiasts". This is a bit like encouraging people to be foolish, if not bloody criminal records are written below each page.
Freya spent the afternoon carefully reading this Gotham guide. For a moment, she had the idea of visiting the Arkham Mental Hospital, but she was immediately rejected by herself.
In the end, she decided to go out and take a look, at least to experience what the so-called "Crime Capital" night was like.
Instead of actually going to the nightclub in New Poly District, she walked east along the street outside the hotel. After walking three blocks, she encountered two robberies that were happening. The young man with a gun forced the supermarket counter to take out all the money, and the homeless man holding a knife to pull off the woman's necklace. Freya handed over the two robbers and tied them together with the hemp rope from the supermarket. When the two victims saw that they had lost their ability to resist, they immediately grabbed the calculator and bag and punched them. Occasionally, there were people passing by, with cold faces and no more eyes on this.
Freya solved this problem and continued to move forward. She saw a strange father and daughter at the door of a dessert shop.
The beard on his face seemed to have been shaved for several days and his father was tightly holding his six or seven-year-old daughter, with a bit of neurotic vigilance on his face. His sneakers had been kicked to the toes, and his toes were faintly exposed. The little girl was wearing a beautiful princess dress, wearing a pair of small leather shoes, and her curly hair was softly pressed on her forehead. She grabbed her father's hand with both hands, and her whole body's center of gravity leaned back, preventing him from moving like a tug of war.
Freya has always liked her cubs, and she couldn't help but slow down when she saw this.
"Dad! You promised to buy me a doll!" The little girl's voice was clear and bright.
Her father sighed, squatted down and gently touched her hair.
"Cynthia, sweetheart," he said, "Dad must work overtime tonight. Tomorrow, tomorrow, when you wake up tomorrow, the doll must have been waiting for you at the bedside, okay?"
The little girl's eyes were wide open. "Do you keep your word?"
The man laughed briefly. "When did Dad cheat on my baby?"
He got a kiss imprinted on his cheek.
Freya was a little jealous, but she just stood there and watched quietly, her heart as warm as if it was simmered on the stove.
The father picked up the little girl and walked home. Freya focused her attention and heard the sound of two groups of people fighting not far ahead, so she accompanied the father and daughter for a while. Fortunately, the gangsters were busy fighting for territory and did not pay attention to the matters next to her.
He sent them home from afar. He heard the sound of the door closing in the alley. Freya was about to leave, but suddenly heard another sound. The father seemed to have arranged his daughter to answer the phone. She had no intention of exploring other people's eyes, but before she could get out of her hearing limit, a noun hit her ear.
The person on the other end of the phone was urging the father to be transported to Gotham Port twenty minutes later. It seemed that the wind could be heard on the other side of the note, and he asked him to go and have a good time with others.
Freya suddenly stopped and her face gradually became dark.
She flashed into an alley, and not long after, the father hurriedly walked past her.
Freya waited for him to walk away before quietly looking through the window and saw the girl sleeping soundly on the sofa.
She pursed her lips and looked around, and found that there was no camera on the street, so she gently jumped onto the roof. She took off her windbreaker, took out a mask and folded paper bag from her pocket, and then put the clothes in the bag and placed them in the corner of the alley.
Freya didn't know that the camera was just something that players played with under-fitting.
Batman had just driven out in the Batmobile, and the old housekeeper's voice rang in his ears.
"There's a message you might be interested in," Alfred said. "Just just now, the satellite system warned me that it was sending a first-level alert."
"Superman?" Batman's tone fluctuated a little.
"I'm afraid not," said the old housekeeper. "Satellite images show that it is a lady."
"A woman who can fly without external force and speeds exceeding one Mach," said Batman. "Did you recognize it?"
"It does not fit any superpowers or mutants we know." said the old housekeeper, "this means..."
"This means there is a very threatening new superpower wandering around Gotham now, and we know nothing about her. Damn!" Batman's voice sank.
"I was about to warn you that she was coming to Gotham Pier." Alfred calmly said, "I guess you will use a little help."
"I don't need help," Batman said.
Alfred exclaimed in surprise, and then said guiltily: "I'm sorry, Mr. Wayne, but I've sent the news."
Bruce Batman Wayne is still speechless today.
He stepped on the accelerator as if he was venting, and the Batmobile accelerated with a strange cry and rushed towards the largest port not far away.
When there were less than two hundred meters, a warning light lit up on the side of the display screen on the car, and the on-board imager clearly showed the scene ahead - a tall woman appeared in front of him.
Batman slammed the steering wheel and walked around her.
At this time, he didn't know that in the near future, he would classify this method of stopping the Batmobile into the damn alien category.
Freya was wearing a rainbow pony hood today, and her hair was tied up from the straps, just like a pony's ponytail.
"Six teams, more than one hundred and sixty guns, arrived at two cargo ships, the Nosa was loaded with big/marijuana and smuggled goods, and the Florence was loaded with explosives, chemical weapons and guns." She lowered her voice and said to Batman who walked out of the car, "I'm glad to meet you, Mr. Batman."
"Whoever you are," Batman remained indifferent, "Leave my Gotham!"
"I'm just a tourist," Freya said softly, "a tourist with a slightly righteous feeling, I've met your helper before you come."
"I don't have a helper," Batman said coldly.
A laugh came from the side, and someone came out of the shadow. "Don't be so arrogant, Batman. You can't handle this by yourself."
"Nightwing," Batman's voice hissed, "Why did you leave your city without authorization and appear here."
"A little vacation," Ye Yi said with a smile, "I want to take a look at my family."
The older man was silent for a moment and said, "Since you want to help, you must obey my command."
"I can help, too." Freya walked forward a little.
The sound of the ship's whistle came from the pier.
Batman glanced in her direction and growled warningly: "If you lie, you will know the outcome."
Freya nodded.
They entered from a corner of the port where the defense was relatively relaxed and stopped at the door of a warehouse.
"There are two squads inside. I just heard the equipment being distributed inside." Freya said, and she turned her ear and suddenly frowned. "Wait, I heard the sound of fighting inside."
"The sound of the fight? Who would it be?" Nightwing looked at Batman inquiringly, and the latter seemed a little surprised.
The three of them entered the warehouse through the window on the first floor and soon discovered the target at the corner.
A strong figure knocked his opponent to the ground with a heavy punch, and raised the gun in his right hand into the air-
"Red hood!"
Yeyi exclaimed.
Batman paused, his muscles tensed.
"Yewing?" The muzzle in Honghou's hand sank, "Why are you in Gotham?"
He turned his head and his pupils shrank slightly after seeing the person who came—
"Batman, it's been a long time since we met."
The nocturnal creature stepped back a little like a punch.
"Red hood, don't do this." Ye Yi said softly.
The cold and manic eyes swept across the group of three people under the red mask without answering. The gun in his hand hit the man who fell to the ground and sneered.
Batman moved, as if he wanted to do something.
"No." Nightwing took a step before him, "That's right, okay?"
The red hood's eyes were intertwined with him.
Ye Yi's eyes were soft, but he did not take a step back.
The red hood tsked annoyedly, but he finally sank the gun, shook the barrel, and lazily ordered.
"Go and tie the remaining two."
But the beaten strong man had already collapsed on the ground like a lump of mud, but he just stared at the muzzle that was still smoking. Before him, his three companions died at the gun.
"Move, big guy, or I'll kick your ass." Red hood said quietly.
