Chapter Eleven: Calligraphy
Chen Ji's house is not far away, a separate courtyard. Although people look sloppy, the courtyard is surprisingly clean and elegant. Chen Ao could not have imagined that there is such a quiet place in the Zhou Mansion.
The two brought the book case, and the pen, ink, paper and ink were prepared. The two of them had their desks facing each other, and white paper was spread on the table.
Chun'er grinds ink for Chen Ao on the side. There was also a servant in front of Chen Ji, named Yunnu. She was pretty, but she was deaf and dumb, and laying paper for Chen Ji on the side.
Chen Ji picked up the pen, grabbed the sleeve on the right with his left hand, and said coldly: "How about three incense sticks?"
He seemed very confident and disdained Chen Ao.
Chen Ao was more confident than him and laughed: "A stick of incense is enough."
Chen Ji glared at him and said to himself: "Look at how long will you be arrogant?" He said: "Okay."
Chen Ji no longer said much, and wrote with his pen with his pen with his whole heart. Chen Ji and Chen Ao both have a quality. Once he starts to do something, he calms down and rushes in with no distractions. At this moment, Chen Ji is like an old monk who has entered into meditation. His turbid eyes show a sharp look, sometimes he is sunny, sometimes he is stretched, sometimes he is holding his pen with his pen, and sometimes he mutters.
On the contrary, Chen Ao was much more relaxed and taught Chun'er to pour a cup of tea for himself. The light of his eyes glanced at Chen Ji, pulled Chun'er aside, and asked, "Who is this Chen Ji?"
Chun'er was stunned and whispered: "Brother Shen really doesn't know who he is?"
Chen Ao smiled bitterly and said, "I really don't know."
Chun'er looked scared: "You don't know, why do you still mess with him?"
"What's wrong with provoking him?"
Chun'er said, "It's just that when the Duke of the State meets him, he still wants to call him Mr. Chen. It is said that this person is very powerful and is the top scholar in Zhenghe for one year. He also did something earth-shaking."
"What's the matter?" Chen Ao glanced at the down-and-out top scorer and thought to himself: "It must be something that offended others."
Chun'er said: "He wrote a memorial to impeach Tai Shi Cai at that time, and even scolded the officials for trusting villains and abandoning state affairs."
Chen Aoshen agreed: "This guy is quite brave."
Chun'er continued: "As a result, Long Yan, the official family, was furious and deposed him as a commoner, saying that he would never be hired."
"But why is he in the Zhou Mansion?" Chen Ao's impression of Chen Ji changed a little.
Chun'er said: "Although he can't be an official, Grand Master Cai won't let him go easily. In order to protect him, the Duke specially invited him to live in his mansion. When he went out, he also sent many people to protect him."
Chen Ao suddenly realized: "No wonder this guy is so arrogant. OK, this book boy will dispel his arrogance."
He turned around to pick up his pen, pondered for a while, and had already had a draft. There were many poems after the Northern Song Dynasty, and Chen Ao was not under any pressure when he excerpted them.
A stick of incense passed quickly. Chen Ji threw his pen and looked up at Chen Ao. He only looked at Chen Ao with his hands on his chest. It was obvious that it had been completed for a long time. He thought to himself: "I don't believe that you, a child, can write a poem in one stick of incense." He asked: "Have the poem done?"
Chen Ao smiled slightly: "I've been waiting for a long time."
Chen Ji didn't believe it, so he walked over and looked at it. He was stunned. He murmured with the poem written by Chen Ao: "It's so great that I'm declining. I'm so sad that my life has fallen, but only a few more now! My white hair hangs three thousand feet away, and I smile at everything in the world. What can I be happy about? I saw the green mountains so charming, and I guess the green mountains should see me like this. The feelings and appearance are slightly similar. A man scratched his head in the east window. I think that Yuanming's poem "Tingyun" is here. The flavor is at this time. Those who are so indulging in the Jiangzuo seeking fame do not know the wonderful truth of the turbid wine. Looking back, the clouds are flying and the wind is rising. I don't hate the ancients, I hate the ancients, I hate the ancients, I don't see my crazy ears. Those who know me are two or three sons."
As he was chanting, tears were already coming out of his eyes, and he was stunned and he was so stupid.
This poem is excerpted by Chen Ao from Xin Qiji's "He Xinlang, I'm so declining", which is actually not a great work. It expresses Xin Qiji's loneliness and depression when he was dismissed from his post and lived in vain.
At the beginning of the first part of the lyrics, "I am so declining. I am so sad that my life's friendship is scattered, but I only have a few more!" This quotes the allusion in "The Analects of Confucius". "The Analects of Confucius·Shuerpian" records Confucius: "It's so great that I am so declining, but I never dreamed of Zhou Gong again." If Confucius lamented that his way was not good; then Xin Qiji quoted it, which means that political ideals could not be realized. Xin Qiji was fifty-nine years old when he wrote this lyrics, and he was exiled for many years, so it was natural to make such sighs. Here, "I only have a few more now" is connected with the final sentence "Those who know me are two or three sons" to emphasize the word "scattered".
This strong depression and unsuccessfulness are a portrayal of Chen Ji's life, especially the feeling of lamenting that there are not many like-minded friends, which is actually similar to Qu Yuan's lamenting that "everyone is drunk and I am awake alone", as if it is exactly the right way for Chen Ji's current state of mind.
No wonder he shed tears at this moment, and studied hard all his life, and finally realized his ideal of being a farmer in the morning and ascending to the emperor's hall in the evening. But now he is so dying.
Chen Ji took a deep breath, then was stunned again, his eyes wide open.
Chen Ao used a thin gold body, which was created by Zhao Ji, the Emperor Huizong of Song Dynasty. However, Zhao Ji's thin gold body has not yet been completely reborn. The thin gold body in Chen Ao's paintings has a kind of beautiful and elegant charm.
Not to mention this word, just talking about this word is already a choice.
Chen Ji suddenly forgot the meaning of the lyrics and focused on looking at the word. His eyes were full of incredible ideas. He couldn't help but say, "The lyrics are good words, and the words are better, enough to be comparable to Wang Youzhi. Good words...good words..." His lips trembled and said yes, his excitement was beyond words.
"It seems that Chen Zhuangyuan is a person who loves calligraphy." Chen Ao thought to himself.
Chen Ao definitely has the capital to be proud of his own words. As an art thief, imitating various art works is common. If you don’t have this good handwriting, you will not be able to survive in this line.
Chen Ao also forged the "Lanting Preface" back then. If it weren't for the timely discovery by Interpol, tens of millions of dollars would have entered his pocket.
Whether it is running script, cursive script, regular script, cursive script, or official script, Chen Ao, he has a deep understanding of holding the pen, using the pen, using the dots and strokes, structure, and layout.
No matter what number one he is, when he meets Chen Ao, a monster that has absorbed the essence of five thousand years, he can only be convinced and amazed.
Chen Jiai couldn't put it down and looked left and right. After a long time, he looked away reluctantly.
"What kind of calligraphy is this?" Chen Ji looked at Chen Ao differently this time, and he was cautious and looked forward to it.
The thin gold body has not yet been formed, or the dog emperor Zhao Ji is still in the exploration stage. Compared with that, Chen Ao's thin gold body has the smell of a master. Chen Ao said with a thick skin and a face that is not changed: "Chen Ao Body."
