China's MBA education began in 1991 and was piloted in nine universities across the country.

In October 1994, the China MBA Teaching Steering Committee was established, and MBA education gradually became more formal in China.

Recently, the State Economic and Trade Commission and the Ministry of Education have conducted offensive communication and discussions, preparing to recruit on-the-job MBA students for managers of large and medium-sized state-owned enterprises, and plan to implement the national joint examination for admission to MBA.
