144 [Lighthouse in Fantasy]

Fudan's teaching staff dormitories are very simple and extremely crowded. Most of them were built in the 1950s, and some even left behind during the Republic of China. The new teaching staff dormitories are still under construction. Even if they are built, they do not have the share of a young lecturer like Lin Zhuoyun.

The seventh teacher dormitory where Lin Zhuoyun lives was built in the 1930s. It was originally a military camp built by Japanese invaders with mud and bricks. After decades of storm, the walls were covered with cracks, the house was dark and damp, and the floors and doors and windows were seriously damaged.

This is a humble house, but my virtue is full of virtue.

Under such arduous housing conditions, there are many famous teachers living in the staff dormitory.

At the beginning of this year, a family moved away collectively and finally vacated two rooms to become the residence of newly-employed young teachers.

Lin Zhuoyun hummed a song and walked upstairs quickly, opened the door and found that her roommate was still working at her desk. She smiled and put down the bag: "Linlin, I brought you some snacks."

"Thank you," Zhang Lin stretched her arms and stood up, hugged Lin Zhuoyun and said with a smile, "Zhuoyun, you are so nice!"

Zhang Lin is already 24 years old and has just graduated from graduate school this year. She applied for public study but failed, so she stayed at school to apply for a lecturer, but failed, so she could only become a teaching assistant while studying for a doctorate. She was not qualified to live in a teaching staff dormitory, but she had a good relationship with her tutor. When there was a vacant in the teaching staff dormitory, she was arranged to live in the same house with Lin Zhuoyun.

At the beginning, Zhang Lin was very jealous of Lin Zhuoyun. She was a graduate student from a prestigious university and could only be an assistant teacher. Lin Zhuoyun was just a general undergraduate graduate, and she was younger than her. She became a lecturer at Fudan for no reason.

What's more, since Fudan only recruits three more lecturers this year and the quota is limited, Zhang Lin always believes that it was Lin Zhuoyun who squeezed her down.

Most of the semester has passed, and as time goes by, this jealousy has gradually disappeared.

Firstly, Lin Zhuoyun's academic level is no lower than Zhang Lin, and she has been teaching for one year and has a lecturer title. This naturally has advantages when applying for the job, and it is not based on relationships. Secondly, Lin Zhuoyun has a good personality and is enthusiastic, which makes Zhang Lin really unable to hate, just like people will not hate a harmless little white rabbit.

"Is that Allen sent you back just now?" Zhang Lin asked.

Lin Zhuoyun said: "No."

Zhang Lin smiled and said, "I saw it all. He even put on his coat, and you returned it to him when he left."

"That's not Li Yalun, it's a friend of mine." Lin Zhuoyun explained.

"What kind of friend? He is also an American?" Zhang Lin asked hurriedly.

"100% Chinese!" said Lin Zhuoyun.

Zhang Lin was angry and refused to argue: "Are you stupid? Allen is so handsome, you are still an American, you have to seize this opportunity! If you marry, you can introduce an American man to me. Then we will immigrate to the United States together."

"What's wrong with living in China?" Lin Zhuoyun said.

"The difference is big!" Zhang Lin was quite excited, "The United States is rich, democratic, and advanced, both material and spiritual, and is ten thousand times stronger than China!"

"Maybe." Lin Zhuoyun doesn't like to argue with others.

Before 2000, there were too many people like Zhang Lin, and countless people were exhausted from their family savings and going to the United States to wash dishes at their own expense.

"Marrying out" was popular in the 1980s. Girls in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou were willing to marry an old American man, just like rural Chinese girls rushing to marry a cripple in the city.

In the 1990s, the country allowed to go abroad at its own expense, which once again set off a wave of going abroad.

There are really too few places sent abroad by the government. From 1978 to 1996, only 130,000 people sent abroad in the 18 years, including not only college and technical school students, but also government civil servants and state-owned enterprise employees. If ordinary people want to go abroad, "marrying out" is the best choice, while college students are looking forward to "learning out".

Zhang Lin has actually "read out", but she can only pay for it at her own expense, and her family has no money.

After Lin Zhuoyun washed up, she took off her clothes and got into the quilt, reading under the dim light.

Zhang Lin sat on the edge of the bed and leaned over and asked, "Are you really boring to that Allen?"

"It's really nothing, ordinary friends, we can just chat with each other." Lin Zhuoyun said.

"Then you," Zhang Lin hesitated for a moment and smiled, "Can you give him to me?"

Lin Zhuoyun said: "If you like it, go chase it."

Zhang Lin said: "I mean, please help me get him out, and then you use the excuse that something happened temporarily... you understand."

"It's not good to do this." Lin Zhuoyun was a little embarrassed.

"What's wrong with it? I'll chat with him. If I can't chat, I'll continue talking. If I can't chat, I'll forget it." Zhang Lin shook Lin Zhuoyun's arm, "My sister Lin, good sister, just help me."

"Okay, okay, I'll help you come out next weekend." Lin Zhuoyun could only compromise.

"marvelous!"

Zhang Lin held her heart and began to look forward to the future: "When I go to the United States, I will go to Princeton to study for a doctorate, and after graduation, I will work in a large company. I have to buy a car and a house. I have had enough of the house I live in now!"

Lin Zhuoyun suddenly felt that these sisters were a little disgusted.

If it were Song Weiyang, he would definitely be more tolerant of Zhang Lin and understand this woman's mentality of admiring foreign countries.

The gap between China and the United States is too big!

Children in the 21st century are commonplace with KFC, but in the early 1990s, some local tycoons chose to hold weddings at KFC, which was fashionable and charming, and they were very proud.

In this era, once you go abroad, it is equivalent to a layer of gold. You can come back with a pheasant university diploma, and government agencies and private enterprises are rushing to ask for it. When doing reports and publicity, the government and enterprises will even specifically indicate how many returnees they have.

With such a social atmosphere, how high can you ask ordinary people?

Many women are not bad, but they are smart. They find an old foreign man to get married and get divorced when they stabilize. Those old foreign men are just springboards and are tools for them to use.

At least Zhang Lin has a bottom line. The Li Yalun she likes is a handsome young man and has not randomly found an old foreign man to marry.

After being excited for a while, Zhang Lin suddenly asked, "By the way, who is the man who sent you back just now? Fortunately, sisters are secretly dating without saying a word!"

"I'm not in love, I'm just an ordinary friend." Lin Zhuoyun smiled.

"I said no," Zhang Lin pointed at Lin Zhuoyun, "Look at how happy you are. When I mentioned that man, you laughed. It was obvious that the heart of spring was engaging. Meow Meow, which little wild cat from the family is calling for spring?"

"You are the one who is spring!" Lin Zhuoyun threw the book out with a smile.

"If you don't say it, forget it," Zhang Lin took the book and threw it back, and stood up and said, "When you hold a wedding, maybe I've already gone abroad, and I will definitely take a plane back to attend your wedding!"

That night, Lin Zhuoyun tossed and turned and couldn't sleep, her mind was full of Song Weiyang's hippie smile.
