Chapter 1079 Captain's Method

The calm outside the hotel was restored, and there was no sign of any activity except the corpses everywhere.
In the hotel, there are sporadic gunfire or grenade explosions. These sounds mainly appear in the corridors or rooms on the first floor, and some appear at the stairs leading to the second floor. These are the surviving soldiers, strictly follow the captain's orders, and whenever they see the active figures on the first floor, they will immediately shoot.
After a long wait, the sky outside finally dawned. Seryosha, who had been impatient, immediately rushed to the hotel with his troops.
The defenders in the building saw the troops coming from a distance, worried that they were pretending to be the Germans again, but when they saw the captain leading the captain, indeed Captain Seryosha of the guard battalion, they lowered their guns. Especially in the queue, some soldiers even saw their familiar faces, which made them more convinced that the reinforcements were coming.
However, when they came outside the hotel, they did not immediately ask the defenders inside to open the door, but searched outside for the bodies to see if there were still living people.
The first thing the soldiers in the communication company did after dawn was to hurry up and repair the telephone line between the hotel that was destroyed by the enemy in order to restore the telephone contact in the hotel.
After half an hour, Sokov contacted Zhukov in the hotel by phone, and he asked with concern: "Comrade General, is your safe place?"
"Safe, very safe." Zhukov said with a smile: "Misha, you should have made careful arrangements. When the hotel is attacked by the enemy, no troops are sent to support you in a hurry, otherwise the enemy may use tricks to kill our defenders and reinforcements."
"Has the enemy in the hotel been cleared?" Sokov asked carefully.
"A few minutes ago, I heard sporadic gunfire coming from downstairs." Zhukov replied: "It has been completely quiet at this moment, and the enemies must have been wiped out."
"Comrade General, please be careful." Sokov was very afraid that Zhukov would run downstairs at this time. If one or two enemies pretended to be dead, they would shoot Zhukov and assassinate him when he saw Zhukov appear. It would be impossible to defend himself. He even dissuaded: "The troops deploying defenses near the hotel will slowly move closer to the hotel, and I will also arrive at the hotel as soon as possible. If there is anything, I will talk about it when I arrive."
"Okay." Zhukov originally wanted to go downstairs to see the battle situation, but when he heard Sokov say this, he knew that the other party was concerned about his safety, so he changed his mind temporarily: "Then I'll wait for you to come upstairs."
The troops responsible for blocking the hotel area at night have now gathered outside the hotel. However, they have all received orders that no one is allowed to enter the hotel before Sokov arrives. The commander led the team can only let the soldiers surround the hotel to prevent the surviving German soldiers from escaping.
The jeep Sokov was riding soon appeared at the entrance of the hotel.
As soon as the car stopped, Selyosha stepped forward and opened the car door for him, and respectfully reported: "Comrade Commander, the corpses outside the hotel have been cleaned up, a total of thirty-seven corpses. Except for five of them, the bodies of our soldiers, the rest are all German corpses."
When Sokov learned that there were as many as thirty-two German corpses outside the hotel, he couldn't help but frown. He asked with a stern face: "How many enemies are there in the hotel?"
"I don't know." Seryosha replied truthfully: "My people have not entered the hotel yet, and no one has come out in the hotel!"
"I'll call them out," Sokov said, walking towards the hotel gate.
He stopped seven or eight meters away from the gate. Seeing the dense craters on the gate and several dark windows nearby, he could guess how intense the battle last night was. Sokov shouted into it: "I am Colonel Sokov, and the commander inside came out to answer."
After Sokov finished shouting, he waited for a while, and the hotel gate, which had been beaten to pieces, was opened. The captain walked out with difficulty with the help of two soldiers. He came to Sokov and tried to straighten his body to report, but as soon as he tried to do this, the severe pain from his abdomen bent his waist.
Sokov quickly supported the other party and asked with concern: "Comrade Captain, are you injured?"
"I got two bullets in my abdomen, but the wound has been bandaged, so it's not a problem."
"Stretcher!" When he learned that the captain was injured, Sokov quickly turned his head and shouted to the crowd behind him: "Another health officer will come and reband the wound for the captain."
When the captain lay on the stretcher and the sanitation officer began to reband his wound, Sokov asked the key question: "How is the situation in the hotel?"
"Comrade Commander," the captain said with a look of pain: "In the battle last night, there were more than a dozen enemies who used grenades to blow up the window on the first floor, broke into the building, and had a fierce exchange of fire with us. After a fierce battle, most of the enemies were eliminated by us. After a further investigation, we caught two survivors."
"Seryosha!" Hearing the captain saying that he had captured two prisoners, Sokov quickly stood up and shouted at Seryosha who was standing beside him: "There are two captured German soldiers in the hotel. You can immediately bring people in and take over and send them back to the command center for interrogation and find out what is going on."
When she saw Selyosha rushing into the hotel with a group of soldiers, Sokov squatted in front of the captain again and asked curiously: "Captain, I see that many of the German corpses outside are wearing our uniforms. The light in the hotel is so dark. How do you identify the enemy of me?"
"Comrade Commander, I can't tell the difference," the captain said with a wry smile: "Later, when I found that the enemies were all on the first floor and could not go up the second floor, I gave orders to the soldiers who were on the first floor, so that everyone would stay in place and shoot without hesitation when they saw the figures of moving."
Sokov asked curiously: "How did you give such orders to soldiers who were in different rooms?"
"It's very simple, I made the soldiers shout loudly." The captain said: "There must be some Germans who understand Russian, but according to my judgment, most people don't understand. As long as those Germans who don't understand Russian run around in the hotel, our hidden soldiers can kill them all like shooting a target."
"Captain, your method is very effective. It is this method that has all the enemies rushing into the hotel." After hearing the captain's story, Sokov nodded with a smile and said, "You should recover well. When your injury is healed, I will arrange more important work for you."
