Chapter 1056: Adaptation of the defeated soldiers

When Ruhle arrived at the field position, the defeated troops were not far from the trench.
Looking at the defeated soldiers coming towards his position, Ruhlei couldn't help but frown. He knew very well that the appearance of these defeated soldiers would affect the morale and morale of his troops. He quickly crossed the half-man-deep trenches and quickly came to the front of the defeated soldiers. He raised one hand and shouted loudly: "Stop, stop me!"
Maybe his voice was too small, and the defeated soldiers did not hear it, and they were still slowly coming towards the field position. A tank soldier followed behind Ruhlei. Seeing that the defeated soldiers did not hear Ruhlei's shouts, he quickly shot the muzzle of the submachine gun at the sky and fired a point. The sudden sound of gunfire shocked the defeated soldiers who were depressed and aimlessly moved forward. Some people who were close to Ruhlei stopped unconsciously.
"Stop, stop me!" Seeing that the defeated soldiers walking in the front had stopped, Ruhlei continued to shout loudly: "Stop, stop, don't go forward."
The tank soldiers behind Ruhlei were afraid that the defeated soldiers in the distance would not be heard, so they shouted and shouted several times. The defeated soldiers who were walking towards the position stopped and stood there in a daze.
"Who is the commander among you?" Luhrey looked at the dark crowd in front of him and asked loudly: "Everyone comes to me!"
After a while, several lieutenant-level officers squeezed out of the crowd. They came to Ruhlei and asked with a blank expression: "Comrade Colonel, do you have any instructions?"
Ruhlei glanced at the people on the body, and found that the highest rank was a captain, so he asked with a stern face: "Comrade Captain, can you tell me where are you planning to go?"
The captain replied in a panic look: "Comrade Colonel, have you not seen that we have been attacked by the Germans and the troops have been defeated?"
"See." Ruhlei said lightly: "But what I ask is, where are you going next?"
"I don't know, I don't know." The captain continued: "Anyway, as long as you can get farther away from the Germans, the better."
A soldier with a blackened face with a smoke from the gun, standing not far away shouted loudly: "I said to you, comrade Colonel, what are we still doing here? Let's move quickly while the Germans have not arrived yet."
"Transfer, where are you going to move?" Ruhlei saw a tree stump not far away, and with the help of the tank soldiers, he stood on the stump and shouted at the group of defeated soldiers in front of him: "I am Colonel Ruhlei, the commander of the 19th Independent Tanks. Not long ago, our brigade used the last shells to repel a German attack. Now a German armored regiment is following us and coming here. If you want to pass through our positions and continue to retreat west or south, you may encounter this enemy head-on. Do you want to be a captive to the Germans?"
Ruhle's words made the defeated soldiers silent as a whole. Everyone took great pains to retreat from the battlefield just to escape danger, and no one was willing to be a prisoner. Once they became prisoners, no matter how hard they could not raise their heads in front of outsiders, they would even implicate their families.
"Our brigade is preparing to continue to move eastward according to the orders of our superiors." Seeing that the defeated soldiers did not speak, Ruhle knew that his words had touched them: "If you do not want to be prisoners of the Germans and shame yourself and your family, join us."
"Time is tight," Ruhlei understood the principle of struck while the iron was hot. He seemed a little hesitant when he saw the defeated soldiers. "I will immediately join you in the army and register your names, military ranks and troops to whom you belong. As long as you can follow us to break out, in the future, when reporting the results of the battle, I will truthfully report to your superiors. At that time, you will not only be deserters, but also become heroes of the motherland."
"Hello, Colonel Ruhlie!" After hearing Ruhlie's promise, the captain made the first choice. Instead of being a prisoner of the Germans, it would be better if this tank brigade went to fight bravely and might have won honors in the future. He made up his mind and said to Ruhlie: "I am Captain Kogore and I am willing to join your army."
Ruhlei jumped off the stump, came to the captain, raised his hand and patted him on the shoulder twice, then smiled and said, "Captain Kogoll, on behalf of the commanders and soldiers of the entire brigade, you are welcome to join. You can register with the Chief of Staff now, and then you will be the battalion commander of the Second Battalion."
Captain Kogore thought that even if he agreed to join the Tank Brigade, he might be the position of company commander at most. Unexpectedly, he actually made himself the battalion commander. While he was grateful, he quickly straightened his body and said to Ruhlei: "Comrade Colonel, thank you for your trust in me. I will definitely perform well in the next battle."
Considering that reorganizing these defeated troops is a very time-consuming task. If the reorganization was followed in the previous reorganization, the Germans behind would have caught up before the reorganization was completed. So Ruhlei called the surviving battalion company-level commander to them and told them: "Comrades, time is tight, and we cannot reorganize the troops as before. Now you can select personnel to join their respective companies first, and then register them during the march."
The battalion commanders all understood the situation of the Tank Brigade. After a loud agreement, they got into the group of defeated soldiers. They shouted loudly the number of their company and asked, "Who do you want to join?"
In this way, in less than twenty minutes, more than 700 defeated soldiers were organized into three battalions of the Tank Brigade.
Luchre looked at the tanks and armored vehicles parked in the forest in the distance, turned his head and ordered the Chief of Staff: "Chief of Staff, those tanks and armored vehicles are out of gas. If you send someone to blow them up, you must not leave them intact to the Germans."
After the Chief of Staff had arranged his hands to blow up tanks and armored vehicles, he looked at the troops not far away and had completed the assembly, so he asked Ruhlei for instructions: "Comrade Brigade Commander, the troops have been assembled. What should we do next? Should we stick to our positions or take advantage of the enemy's failure to come up and move eastward?"
