Chapter 21 The History of Two Space-Time
Xu Xingchen, who had a breath, looked at Xiao Chongqing, whose face turned out to appear, and looked at her reaction, and couldn't help but ask subconsciously:
"What are you thinking inside your little head?"
Little Chongqing said with a serious expression:
"At the beginning of the transformation, this person slept comfortably and had no reaction. Isn't this very dangerous?"
Yixian next to him nodded slowly:
"It seems that this is true. The current state should be the same as lying in the treatment compartment, but there is no shell protection for the treatment compartment around..."
Xu Xingchen also responded seriously with his expression:
"Yes, seniors are very dangerous when they are transformed, so someone needs to guard them around, and this task can only be given to you now."
Little Chongqing immediately stood at attention and summoned the ship and said:
"I know, please don't worry, the commander, the task of protecting the seniors is to entrust me!"
"Thank you for your hard work."
Xu Xingchen encouraged Xiao Chongqing, and then began to understand and transform the predecessors in her frigate.
This transformation process is also the process of Xu Xingchen's in-depth understanding of the "large" warships owned by the Chinese Navy in the old era in the most intuitive way.
Among these "big ships", the "Five Sea Ships" that were built for the highest time are Haitian, Haiqi, Hairong, Haichou and Haichen.
They were all new warships purchased by the Qing government during the reconstruction of the navy after the Sino-Japanese War of 1895. The construction time was between 1896 and 1899.
The two ships of Haitian and Haiqi were constructed by British companies, with a standard displacement of 4,300 tons and a full load displacement of 4,515 tons.
Hairong, Haichou and Haichen were constructed by German companies, with a standard displacement of 2,680 tons and a full load displacement of 2,950 tons.
As a protective cruiser in the late 18th century, the "Five Seas" happened to meet the era of rapid advancement in naval technology of the great powers, and it was completely out of date in the era of World War I.
During World War II, it was even worse than the navy in the new era. In addition to the sea and sky that sank in the early years, the world directly sank the Yangtze River before the Battle of Jiangyin to block the waterway.
The two ships Zhaohe and Yingrui were the last two large warships ordered from abroad before the Qing government was cancelled. The Yingrui displacement was 2,460 tons and the Zhaohe 2,750 tons.
The two sisters ordered it in 1909. In 1910, another Feihong was added. They originally planned to pay in installments to pick up the ship, but the ship was gone before it was built.
Finally, the Republic of China used national debt to make a deposit. In 1913, Ying Rui, Zhao and the two ships were taken back to the country, but the Feihong was really unaffordable and was resold by the shipyard to the Greek Navy.
These two old-fashioned training protective cruisers before World War I did not have much actual combat effectiveness in the World War II era. They were sunk one after another shortly after the official war began.
The Zhaohe was sunk near the Humen Fortress by a Japanese plane on September 21, 1937, and the Yingrui was sunk near Caishiji, Anhui on October 23.
The Yixian, called a cruiser, was actually amplified on the basis of an inland gunboat with a displacement of only 1,650 tons. It was called a cruiser because it was installed with two light cruise-level naval guns.
But even so, it was still able to rank third in the Chinese navy of that era.
Because in addition to the three ships of Yixian, Pinghai and Ninghai, the remaining large warships of the Chinese Navy were basically passed down from the "Qing Dynasty" era, so Yixian, as a new ship, was the main force, and participated in the Jiangyin Navy together with Ninghai and Pinghai.
In the end, Yixian was sunk by a Japanese plane on the battlefield and was salvaged by him as a training ship. After Japan was defeated and surrendered, it was restored and returned to the Navy of the Republic of China.
The Ninghai and Pinghai ships were ordered by the government of the Republic of China from Japan. Ninghai was built by Japan, and Pinghai was provided with drawings and equipment and was built in China.
The standard displacement was 2,500 tons and the full load displacement was 3,000 tons. It was sunk by the Japanese army during the Battle of Jiangyin, and was later salvaged and reused by Japan. In 1944, it was sunk by the US army in the Philippines.
The Danyang ship was originally named Xuefeng, and it was originally the No. 8, the old Japanese Imperial Navy Yangyan-class destroyer. It has a standard displacement of 2,000 tons and a full load displacement of 2,490 tons.
The Fenyang ship was originally named Xiaoyue, and was originally the No. 10, the old Japanese Imperial Navy Akiyue-class destroyer. It has a designed displacement of 2,700 tons and a full load displacement of 3,485 tons.
After Japan's defeat and surrender, both ships dismantled most of the ship-based weapons and participated in the global withdrawal of troops and evacuation operations, and finally delivered them to the Navy of the Republic of China as trophy.
Later, the Danyang was reinstalled with American weapons and was released in 1966 and dismantled in 1971. Due to lack of equipment, the Fenyang was idle until 1962 and was dismantled the following year.
Among these warships, the lucky one should be the last "Four Great Kings".
The four ships of Anshan, Changchun, Taiyuan and Fushun were originally Type 7 traditional destroyers built by the Soviet Union in 1941. The standard displacement is 1,675 tons and the full load displacement is 2,150 tons.
The four sisters and other frigates, torpedo boats, minesweepers, submarines and other 133 large and small ships were sold to China in 1954, becoming the basis of the navy in the new era.
From the late 1960s to the early 1970s, four ships successively installed upstream-1 anti-ship missiles and upgraded to missile destroyers, which continued to serve until the 1990s.
Thinking back to their prototypes, in the history of that time and space, Xu Xingchen's thoughts soon returned to his eyes.
As ship girls in this time and space, their fate is far from the prototype warship.
In the past twenty years, while mastering sufficient resources, the Admiral's Office has worked hard to improve the equipment level of the Admiral's Office.
The initial operation was to obtain a batch of naval equipment drawings through equipment reverse engineering of relatively new ship girls such as Chongqing, Ninghai, Anshan, etc.
For example, the dual 152mm naval gun from Chongqing, the dual 102mm high-level dual-purpose secondary gun, the quadruple 40mm air defense gun, 533mm torpedo, steam turbine, radar, etc.
There are also dual 140mm naval guns from Ninghai, 130mm naval guns from Anshan, dual 37mm anti-aircraft guns, etc.
Then, using these equipment from the World War II era, traditional ship girls such as Haiqi, Hairong, Zhaohe, and Ying Rui were upgraded and transformed as comprehensively as possible.
So now, except for the most basic hull that Xu Xingchen saw, the original equipment was basically no longer found on them, and the entire upper layer of the hull had completely changed.
They and the later low-speed cruisers such as Ninghai and Pinghai replaced the later steam turbines and boilers, increasing the speed to more than 30 knots.
Recalling these situations, Xu Xingchen subconsciously thought that even in the era before World War II on Earth, these adjustments and transformations were not very difficult.
If it weren't for the turbulent domestic situation at that time, and if these warships were still needed, this level of transformation would have been achieved.
After all, these equipment had fallen behind before the end of World War II, but the Admiral's Palace had only these, and there was not even these in history.
Later, in the process of trying to save the decline in the Admiral's Office, they tried to further optimize, upgrade and integrate these equipment.
The equipment upgrade has achieved certain results. The mechanized loading of the dual 140mm gun has been completed, and the effectiveness of the dual 102mm gun has been further improved.
Then, more rational equipment replacement and upgraded to other ship girls in the World War II era.
The Danyang and Fenyang ships were equipped with new dual-equipped 140mm guns. Chongqing and other frigate-level warships were replaced with dual-equipped 102mm guns.
However, these improvements have basically no effect on saving the situation in the Admiral's Office.
In Xu Xingchen's view, this is because before the emergence of cross-age weapons, the key to determining the outcome of the battle in this world was the ship girl, and the ship girl in the Admiral's Mansion was too weak.
In other words, after the popularization of cross-age weapons, the key to determining the outcome is still the ship girl.
Now I just have the first-mover advantage of cross-age weapons alone. Of course, I have to use this advantage to win as much as possible.
So Xu Xingchen can't wait now to replace all his ship girls with missiles and radar.
If these warships are fortunate to live to a new era and have been modernized and missile-based modifications after the new Republic Navy grew up...
